Pleased to meet you, dear reader of this request-thread!
By reading the thread title you already get the picture somewhat on what this is about but let me please start by telling you a thing or two about myself.
I have over 15 years of roleplaying experience though I haven't done much of it for the last five years or so.
Instead I pursued creative solo projects, wrote the odd unfinished novel here and there and got lost in an endless spiral of worldbuilding.
Not that I am remorseful mind you, but as a result I have become a touch rusty as far as roleplaying is concerned.
Now that I have once more succumbed to the inevitable lure of collaborative roleplaying and storytelling I hope I can easily brush that oxidized patina off my sad old neglected writing skills.
All I need is a patient partner who is seeking the same thing I am looking for: A meaningful story of love against all odds riven by conflict but mended through tenderness.
What am I looking for?
Long Term
If we end up clicking and we come up with a story together, I would be hopeful for a long term story and not just a one-shot ending with a steamy encounter.
Not that there is anything wrong with that of course but for the purposes of this request thread and my goals on this website I want to make it clear that I am looking for the kind of story that could potentially last a while.
Romance
Love makes the world go round. Love against all odds may sound like a bit of a trope (because it is) but it also simply works.
I love me some stories where the growing relationship of a dynamic duo is the backbone of the whole story.
Think of the thrill of two characters with great chemistry discovering their common infatuation on step at a time, defying the hurdles fate put in their way to accomplish what ultimately they were always destined to accomplish together.
Conflict
A good story needs some stakes! Some obstacle or hardship for our characters to overcome which drives the plot forward and provides challenges and opportunities of growth for our characters.
While I do indulge in slice-of-life on occasion and can see phases in a good RP where SoL is called for, an overarching story or a journey with a destination is a must.
This could also mean by the way that our characters do not like each other from the start. That's just another obstacle.
Communication
I am a great fan of OOC communication. Before any roleplay starts between us I would like to first hammer down the details with you.
I would like to know your preferences and what you want out of the story, what you like to see in a character, and most important of all, your ideas of how to go ahead.
Roleplaying is a collaborative effort after all and a story written together prospers when both writers are not only on the same page but pour both their ideas and preferences into the mix.
I am also a tiny bit of a people pleaser as far as it comes to roleplaying I must admit, so if you share your feedback with me or ask me for things you would like to see, I would probably be only too happy to oblige.
Past experience has also shown me that a long-term RP has greater chance of success if the OOC element is working well too.
We need not be best buddies of course but if we end up enjoying chatting about the RP etc I wouldn't mind either.
Low Pressure
As I mentioned before, I have not roleplayed for quite a few years now. As a result I am probably quite rusty now.
My daily life can be quite busy too so most of the time I would likely only find time for a serious RP reply in the evenings of my timezone (CEST).
I can not promise daily replies either because of irl concerns but I would try and aim for that. Chatting frequency might probably be higher than that though.
This would go the other way too so if you are the kind of person that favors such a low pressure understanding then things will probably work out well between us.
What am I offering?
Effort
I love writing and RP and if I get into the story and characters we create together then I can promise you that you will not get half-arsed garbage thrown at you for replies.
I aim for around maybe 2-3 paragraphs in a reply but it can be more in the case of a scene set-up or less if we are doing some quick shooting.
Expect 300-500 words on average, more than that I find tends to kill the flow.
When we brainstorm I will give it all as well. Ideas come quick for me, even more if we mesh well together at brainstorming.
Honesty
Like anyone who has ever roleplayed on forums I have been ghosted either mid RP or even after the brainstorming. I will not do that to you.
If in the course of our roleplay or OOC talks I get the feeling that we won't mesh well then I will tell you.
If I can not reply to you regularly or at some foreseeable frame of time then I will tell you. If I forgot a reply or just could not for some reason I will tell you.
The same goes for you. There will be no pressure from my end but I think some common courtesy goes a long way.
And if you end up having some criticism or constructive feedback for my responses or the Roleplay as a whole I will happily listen.
Collaboration
Half of the joy of roleplaying, at least to my way of thinking, is that I am not the only one in charge of the operation. If I say I want to write a story together, I mean it.
I will genuinely treasure any sort of influence and input you have on the story
simply because that is what makes it special. The lack of plots in this thread is by design. If what you read here vibes with you and tickles your fancy then I want us to have an empty plot to plant and grow a garden on.
3rd Person Past Tense
I won't write anything else. I would also prefer the same from my RP Partner.
What you see
You may have noticed an odd choice of words here and there. Maybe a bad use of punctuation or particularities or grammar mistakes. Well that is because I am not a native english speaker.
I believe I write competently enough but you should keep that in mind if you have high prose expectations. I also got quite rusty due to a long RP hiatus. So yeah, you get what you see.
If you are not deterred then I can promise you that I will try my best.
Regarding Genres and Fandoms:
There are few genres which I would definitively say no to unless the story idea is really strong. It would need to be one hell of a story idea though to interest me in a fandom story. What I would prefer instead is to worldbuild something together.
However do not hesitate to make fandom suggestions if they fit my preferred genres. Any shot never made is a shot missed.
My favorite genres are Sci-fi, Science-fantasy, Dystopian Sci-fi, Low Fantasy, all kinds of Historical Settings, Cyberpunk, Solarpunk or a mixture of those thrown into a blender. Modern settings can be fun too, especially for more SoL oriented stories.
Kinky Fuckery:
I value story over smut but that does not mean that smut has no place. Whether it's a slow or fast burn though depends on the story and the characters.
I like writing steamy scenes if the characters have that chemistry and the story benefits from it.
There might also be times when we feel that our characters deserve spending their day in bed until the bed breaks makes sense.
Whether we write that out in detail or do not depends on our OOC deliberations and agreements and the direction of the story and characters. There won't be firm expectations from my side.
I will say though that I used to enjoy writing quality erotica and that at a point I felt that I was quite good at it. Do with that information as you will.
As far as kinks are concerned, my greatest kink is writing something both I and especially my RP Partner enjoy.
Again, what sort of sex is involved should be subject to the requirements of the story, OOC preferences and the characters involved.
However I do not want to write anything related to bestiality, underage sex, or watersports.
I would also very much prefer to keep sex between humans or very humanlike characters (like Fae etc.). Furries, Anthromorphs, or Aliens just don't do it for me.
I would be happy to go over the details OOC and hear what your preferences are.
