The year is 3226. Humans have long since left earth, and become a space-faring species.
Humans have encountered many alien species and have discovered that the universe is in perpetual war.

Different races and alliances are always fighting for dominance. The only exception to this endless conflict is a lawless, neutral zone. While it is far from safe, it is agreed upon, that the wars around the universe shall have no influence in this stretch of space.
Anyone is welcome in the neutral zone, as long as they are not affiliated with, or identify as a military. As a result, it has become the space equivalent of the wild west.
Within the neutral zone, there are four systems. The Psi Zarriah System has two habitable planets. One is an arctic planet, that is constantly snowing. The other is a global tropical jungle. The Caspian System has one habitable planet. A planet similar to earth. The Beta Arae System has one habitable planet. It is a global desert. The Beta AR System has no habitable planets, but it is home to several eco-domes that are set up as colonies.
The story will follow a group of people living in the neutral zone when someone breaks the golden rule.
If you are interested, post a character sheet.

Setting looks interesting.
  • What are the posting expectations? (Lenght, frequency, detail)
  • Freeform or system?
  • The setting is clear, but what kind of story are we looking to build? (Action, tactical, exploration, drama, romance)
  • The direction of the story? (Narrator/GM, shared narration, open)
  • Setting influence of the players? (Strict established, flexible established, flexible open, improv)
  • How many expected players? Single multi-character?
  • Character relative power level(s)? (clueless, novice, professional, specialist, action hero, super)
  • Is there a planned storyline or are we starting off with a bang and seeing where that takes us?
Sorry for all the questions but I want to make sure we have a compatible idea of gameplay so that the game doesn't die after a few posts.

What are the posting expectations? (Lenght, frequency, detail)
At least one paragraph, up to as long as you want. At least a post a week, but hopefully more frequently depending on when I manage to get online.
Freeform or system?
Freeform
The setting is clear, but what kind of story are we looking to build? (Action, tactical, exploration, drama, romance)
Action. I want it to follow a group of people, roughly four or six, as a faction attempts to take the Neutral Zone.
The direction of the story? (Narrator/GM, shared narration, open)
Open
Setting influence of the players? (Strict established, flexible established, flexible open, improv)
Flexible open
How many expected players? Single multi-character?
Four to six players including myself
Character relative power level(s)? (clueless, novice, professional, specialist, action hero, super)
Somewhere between specialist and Action hero, but nothing too edgy.
Is there a planned storyline or are we starting off with a bang and seeing where that takes us?
Starting with a bang and seeing where it takes us.

I like to create settings and let the players choose how they interact with it.

I like this, and would certainly wish to take part. The sci-FI setting is all I needed to know before saying "I must join."
