"If all we have is this imagined empty canvas of endless possibility...this potential heaven...then let it be our haven. A place of marriage between two souls desperate to feel something beyond the cruel tedium of real life. If we truly be the masters who dream these dreams then let our innermost desires fuel the adventures we create and the love that we make here, let it all unfold endlessly or for only a brief moment in time but for as long as it breathes let it devour and I will forgive you your boldness if you will be so good as to forgive me mine..." ~ Chantarelle

Time Zone: Pacific

Activity Level: Usually least once a week, sometimes more. I'll communicate if things change.

Limits: In general, none but the usual suspects (piss, shit, vomit, etc. .... ya know? The usuals!)

Preferred Genres: Romance always! Supernatural is my bread and butter but I will occasionally crave a medieval low fantasy RP as well though I am more picky with those.

Plotting Preferences: Story and character development are super important to me. I adore a good love/hate relationship and everything that goes along with it. I want complication, psychological torture and emotional upheaval, but most of all growth. I find all the planning in the world may or may not fulfil expectations when it comes down to IC play and so organic development is a must when it comes to any type of relationships in-game but especially of the romantical variety.

Preferred FC's: Actual photos only please, no animation. It just throws me out of my muse.

What Should Your RP Partners Know About You?:

I've been writing role-play for 20+ years of my life and pride myself in having grown much throughout the years. Developing my skill as a writer has been a serious endeavor for me and I've always striven for improvement and have found that in order to best aide in this pursuit of self-betterment its been crucial for me to seek out writers who's skillset matches or, more helpfully, surpasses my own. I am a multi-paragraph storyteller who puts strong effort into character development and as much as I do enjoy a good 'love at first sight' story I'd much rather a love/hate dynamic between mains. I love to explore my character's past with time jumps and I don't shy away from playing side characters when needed. Those who reach out should be aware that the stories I tell through my characters come saturated in mature and dark themes.

It should also be noted that I will never write stories where the main focus is smut. Sex of course will always make an appearance in the worlds we create together - slow burn and sexual tension is a requirement for me - but it should be treated as a cherry on top of the sundae rather than the sundae itself. Kink-wise I am - #sorrynotsorry to the majority who read this - a rather vanilla ice cream type of girl. Rough sex? Yes, please! But I'm not into anal or excessive fluid/secretion descriptions. Depending on which character or scene is being played out, what psychological or emotional turmoil is currently happening within their inner worlds, kinks may change as my girls are as varied as they should be for realisms sake.

And now...my epic request...

This story is one that has been in development for some time. It has come to be a large undertaking as well as a big ask, no doubt. It centers on two mains (MC and Yours) a King and Queen of disparate warring Kingdoms coming together by means of an alliance of marriage to end a bloody seven-year war. It features a cast of characters played by each of us, each one finding a counterpart somewhere in the others ensemble. The story's primary challenge centers on the battle of egos and misunderstandings of our rulers and the struggles of blending such wildly different countries. The Setting takes place in the world of Sien on two (known) continents. My characters eastern kingdom of Ellesmere which sits as capital of Erowyn can be described as structured and orthodox. The West's kingdom (YC's kingdom) should be in contrast to this. There is also the Southern kingdom which has yet to be developed and I could use some collaboration to help build at some point. The Northern Kingdom (the Northern Threat) however lies across the ocean and holds much ripeness for future plotting because there is an evil rumored to be brewing there. The threat of the Northern Kingdom holds the key in bringing our stubborn monarchs and their subsequent kingdoms together. Magic will be present but somewhat of a rarity. In Ellesmere's case, unless a person is aware of its existence it would be hard to notice it and not place it under the category of good or evil. So for Emrafah and her power of prophecy, because she believes in God and that it is Him who has given her this power she would not readily see or be looking for magic in the world, nor would she be cultivating or delving into any further abilities she could otherwise have or develop. I will leave it up to you to dictate the Wests viewpoint on magic, though when it comes to the North that is where we can eventually incorporate a high level of magic, especially when "the One" enters the picture. If at all interested please PM.

To my betrothed and future King,

Considering we are not meant to meet and are forbidden to speak until the day of our matrimony as per order of the supreme counsel which I am subject to obey as consequence my gender and unwillingness to marry absent of force I have taken great risk to pen this letter in order to make myself known to you in my own words since there is for me no telling what the venomous and haggard men of the cloth and state have told you of Emrafah, the Oracle-Queen of the kingdom of Ellesmere.

Firstly, I am loved by my people who if they knew how I was being treated would not hesitate to rise up in loyal defense of my honor. I dare say the only reason I do not tempt a message to my army is that I do not wish to see further blood spilled. The wars between our two kingdoms have caused the deaths of too many men young and old. I would rather accept my fate at the alter and align our kingdoms with fresh sights set on sustaining peace.

This said, the feigning of a marriage I submit to for the benefit of all and yet it is in your right to know that I will not, indeed am not capable of submitting my body or soul to a man, king or other. Despite the gossip that circulates that my title of Oracle is nothing more than a fraud perpetrated on the gullible, my hallowness is based on no lie. Therefore, upon completion of our vows I will be taking up residence in the Easterly wings of Gaillard and leaving you to full reign of the Western premises. Concern yourself not with appearances for I will be at your side showing a face of unity in court and in public for the benefit of the masses but at no other time shall I wish to be bothered by a head of household or state. To be clear and unmistaken I am not yours for I belong to God and to my people alone.

Gaillard, being as it is a newly erected palace nestled between our two kingdoms for the purpose of mutual rule shall from day one I assure you be a beacon of hope in the eyes of her citizenry and in pursuit of this goal I give my commitment and my handmaiden as gifted womb to be made full when the time comes in fulfillment of this.

Your intended,
Emrafah Hyzenthlay of Ellesmere

[/float]Queen Emrafah Hyzenthlay, ‘Emra’ to only Tomas (Our Queen) Emrafah, the sage-like and wise Queen, earnest and true, relies heavily on Tomas and Hildie for her emotional support as she trusts no one else. They are her circle, Tomas primarily. She sees her late fathers priest as a father figure and Hildie as something akin to an adopted daughter or the little sister she never had. Both of them she views as her companions, sent by God to comfort and aide her on her journey to fulfill her life’s purpose which is to simply be a blessing to her people as divine steward. Despite foreign rumors to the contrary, Emrafah is no extortionist nor is she delusional as she has had visions throughout childhood she has seen firsthand come to pass, including a vision of her parents death years before it occurred. Through her trusted and most beloved Tomas and his “book of Yohm” however, she has been led in deceit to believe that she must live a life of purity, and that she can never know a man or bear children of her own, a fate she has long accepted. She’s gotten good at maintaining the mental and physical fortitude and self-restriction required to be who she is destined to be, but she is not perfect. Emrafah struggles with bitterness, depression and anger and as we find her in the beginning of our story, she is under a lot of pressure from outside forces hellbent on seeing her fail.

[/float]Spiritual Advisor to the Queen, Father Tomas Marley (The Betrayer) The Princess Emrafah began having visions of her parents death years before they actually occurred. They had gotten so bad that she eventually stopped eating. Plagued with nightmares, starving and sleep deprived, King Tiberius’ priest was sent for, an older man named Tomas Marley who immediately upon setting eyes on her fell madly in love and began teaching her from the apocryphal “book of Yohm”, a tome of scriptures, a lie forged by Tomas’ own hand all in a scheme to convince the Princess that she was touched by God, that she was in fact not cursed but divinely blessed. He told her that in order to keep Gods gift meant that she would have to adhere to a life of celibacy and self-sacrifice and in this way Tomas, who could not have her himself made absolute sure that neither could anyone else.

[/float]Handmaid to the Queen, Hildegard “Hildie” Rhinehart (Gifted Womb) Hildie is the daughter of a noble who had for years been an informant for Emrafah’s father charged with spying on the happenings within the Northern Kingdoms court where forever an eminent revolution had been whispered about, a revolution that when did finally come began with the execution of all loyal nobility to the former ruling crown. It was only the trusting relationship her father had developed with the King of Ellesmere that he, Hildie and her brother escaped the slaughter by ship to start a new life as further compensation for their brave service. As official and very special guests to the king and Queen of Ellesmere a feast was prepared to welcome back the Northern three and it was at this banquet that Hildie’s brother poisoned both Monarchs with tainted wine and watched in silence as they drank deep. Her ill-fated brothers later all-too-proud confession would reveal that while in the North he had dedicated his life’s purpose to the Red Guilds’s revolution and to the “One” it paved the way for (this person or “Northern threat”). Swiftly, the Council of Twelve took action and sentenced Hildie’s brother to death by public execution for the high crime of treason and regicide and if it were not for Emrafah, the heir apparent, stepping in on their behalf Hildie and her father would have suffered the same fate. Sensing the girls allegiance it came to be instead that Hildie became Emrafah’s most devoted handmaiden.

[/float]Spokesman for and Member of the ‘Council of Twelve’, Pontiff Albert Crawley (A Villain) Emrafah’s father began his reign clear-sighted and with an honest, idealistic heart. He assembled the Council of Twelve in aims for it to act as “the people’s voice” but little by little over time his heart became corrupted. With recklessly growing apathy he gave the council tacit permission to act shamelessly in the sole interest of the crown, nobility and itself. After her fathers death and her coronation, Emrafah who was not as blind or weak as the council believed her to be, set to work on making changes to how things were done in Ellesmere.

First, she abolished the practice of slavery that had flourished under her fathers rule. Second, she concentrated on education reform and expanded her army made up of free men which made a phenomenal difference in morale and victories in the ongoing war with the west, but her growing popularity quickly enraged the Council. Far from the naive youth they thought easily controllable, Emrafah seemed to exhibit a strange power amongst her people, and once she began travelling through her kingdom, “blessing” the peasantry with her ever present and pesky priest by her side, that’s when the Council knew they had to act.

[/float]Captain of the Royal Guard, Edric DelVaney (Crawley’s Puppet) The war with the West continued to rage as it had for years, the new waged laborer’s that replaced the slave class brought resentment to the nobility and to the Council itself. It had also been gathered through a certain red-headed “spy” within the Queens circle (and confirmed by Emrafah herself) that she had no intention of marrying or bearing an heir for her kingdom, a problem that could not be ignored and it was a simple thing for Crawley to turn the Captain of the Royal Guard with this information.

The coup happened one night suddenly and forcefully. It took the Queen by complete surprise and she quickly found herself locked up in her summer palace (Chartris) far away from the public eye. It was there she was kept until she finally agreed to an arranged marriage which would officially end the long, stubborn war.

[/float]The boy, Walter Ralph (Crawley’s Aide/Tomas's Acolyte) The boy has an overall good soul, a young man who has the potential for uprightness if only he could live his life beyond Crawley’s shadow as his proximity to such evil will eventually, it is feared by Tomas, destroy him. The boy comes from Adyna, a mid-sized farming town famous for the wine it makes and the beef it produces. A myth surrounding its secret has always been that the townspeople water the grass the cows feed upon with the wine they create, making for a more tender and sweet tasting meat. Another variation of the myth claims that they let the cows drink directly from the vats until they are ripe with drunkenness and only then in an inebriated state are they slaughtered. No matter which is true (if either) Adyna beef is the only beef ever served at Gaillard Castle and it’s always a court favorite.

[/float]Commander General Aldred Fletcher (Useful Asshole) Fletcher was born in the northern kingdom of Va’swam in its Capitol city of Kardak. Fatherless but brimming with mothers, he was raised in a brothel catering to the Solven nobility before being sold to a Sienese Marchioness who dabbled in dark arts. The abuse he suffered at her hands gave him the desperation he needed to escape Kardak and Va’swam for good.

Fletcher was thirteen when he fled to Erowyn from the North and he quickly got himself into trouble, ultimately landing himself in the Ellsmerian Kings army as a conscripted soldier, which, just so happened it turned out, suited him quite nicely. He gradually climbed the ranks, feeding off the violence and bloodshed as if it were honeyed milk from his mothers tits. He served the Hyzenthlay crown as Commander General five years prior to the Great War, never having lost a battle, a feat that carried with it great notoriety as well as some resentment here and there. Stories of the Commander General now have been circulating for years amongst the young men of Erowyn and even to its capitol of Ellesmere, traveling as far as Walters hometown of Adyna as well as making the rounds in the courts of Gaillard where the unsurprisingly naive maidens of nobility twist gayly these tales of heroics and feats of masculinity (stories to inspire boys to become men) into sexy gossip to fantasize and swoon over. Fletcher carries with him more than battle prowess and an irreverent wit but a dark secret which could potentially turn tides if waters ever destine to become choppy.

Erowyn is known to some as “the land of sanctuary” where ancient, nomadic peoples fell in love and their wanderings ended. It is a vast land which boasts coasts on two oceans, the Sondara and the Midori, as well as her prized Emerald archipelago and hard won Isles of Sienna and Trint. Being so big it’s landscape varies drastically. The majestic Terrin mountains are generally known as the spine of Erowyn as it’s formation stretches from north to south along its center, dipping low at points making travel and commerce convenient while cresting dramatically with summits reaching up into the clouds. It’s in these highest parts of the Terrin where merikek monks have built a monastery and go to renounce the world.

The naked steppes in the East’s east are home to men known as the Wyllen (or wild one’s) who believe that it is better to live as close to nature as possible. These are the people who called Erowyn home before the great migration occurred and it has only been since Emrafah’s fathers reign that an accord has been reached with the Wyllen and Ellesmere that makes trade and overall mutually beneficial relations possible.

Erowyn provinces and villages are mostly found to be bordered by vast, thick forests and are never too far from a river or marshland or more often, a lake.
In the capitol city of Ellesmere, during its long winters it snows profusely and the auroras at night create a surreal and stunning view adding a magical appeal to it not found anywhere else in the East. During the spring is when the notable Amoret Gardens open to the public and in the usually mild summers the city smells like lavender and hibiscus.

More on the Wyllen…these people live off the land in the most truest of senses. They consist of tribes. thirteen, if we go by the councils of twelve’s numbers, though these are known to be unreliable since there are tribes that choose to live in isolation and refuse to speak to not just kingdom officials but to anyone, including other Wyllen. These hidden tribes are known as the Obscuran.

Erowyn religion is largely Niyama. Niyamists believe in the teachings of Niya a warlord turned settler, savior and finally deity after seeing a number of visions and performing a handful of public miracles centuries upon centuries ago. Niya serves as modern-day Christ to Erowynese. Yohm serves as Niya as the Almighty.
The two tomes (The Collection & The Book of Yohm): The Collection is a compilation of writings (like our modern-day bible) gathered together to form one book, these minor books were written by contemporaries of Niya (aka, his disciples). Then there is the relatively "recently discovered" Book of Yohm which Tomas wrote himself - but which is claimed by Tomas to be written by Niya's most favored disciple Ruahmana but which comes with the attached story - only corroborated by Tomas - that after self-exiling from Ellesmere before Emrafahs birth Tomas went on a spiritual quest, which took him up into the Merikek mountains where he was given the texts by the ascetics who lived there.

In Erowyn, where the life is more orthodox and structured, it would not be unlike before the printing press in our age when the texts were predominately held by the church and the knowledge disseminated through it. Nobles had access to copies and those who had the coin and the desire could easily obtain a copy, but not so much with commoners. The Book of Yohm would be even more rare however as its existence is still being "spiritually processed" shall we say. It's contents are still being discussed among the nobles as well as analyzed within the Council and has yet to be canonized and officially placed within the Collection.

Practicing magic is strictly forbidden in Erowyn with high prices paid for violators of the law, especially in Ellesmere where enforcement is most extreme. The clergy and churches teach that all magic is from demons and that those practicing the craft will awaken in hell upon death. The further one travels away from Ellesmere and the larger cities however, the more courageous they may become and it is not uncommon to hear of very strange things occurring in these more isolated regions, especially where outcasts and Wyllen are concerned. Merikek monks as well, it is commonly believed and rumored by the courts have developed their own type of magic high up in the Terrin mountains, information that has not gone unheard of by the council who have used fear for decades to deter the populace from entertaining fascinations about such things. With the war however, has come a tidal wave of survivors telling tales of fantastical things witnessed upon the battlefield and with these stories have come widespread, percolating curiosity not diminished in the least by a Queen who upon coronation began her “tours of outreach” throughout the capital, priest and guard by her side, giving the people a firsthand glimpse of her own “holy” gifts. It is feared by many nobles that their new Queen was a bad omen from the start and that this peace treaty between Ellesmere and to be decided will bring a curse upon Erowyn.

in the Terrin mountains

“A decade of war…thousands upon thousands slaughtered…families torn asunder…resources depleted…lives changed forever…our respective advances and victories nearly equal our withdrawals and defeats. Like the eternal tide, in and out…ebb and flow. It’s exhausting for those of us not on the battlefield just to hear word of it let alone what it must have felt like for the brave men on the frontlines...

In full respectful view of this, we here are gathered in spirit and hopes of bringing this tragic bloodshed to an end. It is in pursuit of this goal, deemed timely and proper, that an arrangement should be offered befitting the situation both our Kingdoms find themselves in.

To his Majesty to be decided...the proven formidable King of to be decided...we, the Kingdom of Ellesmere represented today by myself, Pontiff Albert Crawley, elected spokesman for the Council of Twelve and acting deputy of her Majesty Queen Emrafah Hyzenthlay, hereby have been authorized to extend a proposal of marriage between Monarchs, a covenant designed to merge two nations under one single banner and rule, thereby bringing an end to the warring between us.

It is Ellesmere’s most earnest wish that once accomplished, all of Erowyn, including all incorporated territory located within and beyond its mainland, the Emerald Archipelego and both isles of Sienna and Trint, along with all inhabitants that may lie within these given borders, will fall under both Monarch’s rule and jurisdiction. Further, both realms Armies as well as their Royal Guards and Navies shall be henceforth available for use according to the Crowns prerogatives.

Moreover, It shall be sanctioned that our blended realms future King to be decided will retain his council just as our Queen shall retain hers as it is believed that the preservation of pre-established congress will be mutually imperative in our mission of advocation and unification on behalf of our collective peoples and Royal interests.

These words spoken herein, once drafted and endorsed will be made final and binding until the happy and awaited for time falls upon us all when an heir apparent comes of age, only then will it be seen appropriate for stated conditions to be revisited.”

“…..It is with crowns that God establishes authority as it is the same with rings that man establishes loyalty...and it is with both, through an oath breakable only by death, a marriage is made. With this power invested in me I pronounce to be decided and Emrafah Hyzenthlay, husband and wife...King and Queen of the realm.”

Memory of the ceremony replayed in Tomas’ minds eye over and over again, threatening to trap him forever in its nightmarish echo. The fear the sound of his cracking voice under the heavy weight of his breaking heart had elicited from him had paled in comparison to the vision of his Queen, of his Emra, walking slowly up the isle towards him, her march steady, her head held regally high, her eyes firmly anchored to his own. He knew she had done so merely to find the strength she needed to endure each step, he was her priest after all, and in him she drew courage and found faith to face her fate squarely and with confidence, but for the holy man who had loved her so completely and impurely for so long, her gaze had been nothing short of torture.
