I'm hoping to find another like-minded writer who wouldn't mind exploring a story that i've been itching to do...I typically write 3-6 paragraphs, love description, action, violence, dynamic characters and good ol'fashioned romance....when appropriate. ;)
The story can be set in a world of our own creation or the world of Faerun (D&D). Both of the characters come from kingdoms that are quite distant from each other. Their cultures, language, and religions are quite different, yet they have a lot more in common than most.
The Paladin is from an Order that was tasked with the protection of an ancient, powerful relic. The purpose of which is obscure and known to house an entity of sinister and destructive power, potentially enough to threaten all the kingdoms. She and her twin brother have violently feud over the relic and she is unfortunately cursed by it. She ends up convening the relic and has to flee the kingdom, the Order in hot pursuit.
The Monk is likewise from a fraternal sort of group/monastery, who is forced to leave his community due to a spiritual affliction. He is essentially possessed by a demon, which gives him a sort of split/dual personality. It doesn't manifest often and usually only in ways that tempt him into doing things that are against his conscience or morals. He is not able to control or remember what happens to him.
Both of the characters are destined to meet and help each other as cursed exiles. They get caught up in a far larger plot among the kingdoms as new dark forces start to rise, threatening their own fates.
