"Another body has been discovered by Emerald City Police early this morning -" The female news anchor's voice spoke out clearly from the large television screen as the sound of sizzling bacon occupied the house. A large man stood at the stove, his shoulders broad and his body toned and muscular, wearing a simple pair of jeans and a black tee shirt. His arms and hands were covered in tattoos, and some of the inked artwork poked out from the collar of his shirt. His hair was short and dark brown with a short yet well-kept beard that flowed cleanly into it.

Ezra stared blankly at the television from the kitchen, a dull ringing fading into his ears, drowning out everything but the news anchor's voice. "The FBI and Emerald City Police are working diligently to find the perpetrator responsible for these murders. Why couldn't you save them, Ezra? Why couldn't you save them, Ezra? Why couldn't you save them, Ezra?" The voice replayed over and over again in Ezra's mind, making the ringing in his ears louder. "Shit!-" Ezra called out, ripping his hand away from the sizzling pan of bacon that had spit up grease, taking him out of his stupor. The man grunted as he shook his hand, then a smaller, younger feminine voice spoke out. "Language, Dad."

In front of the kitchen, separated by the stove and kitchen counter, was a little red-headed girl, seated at the kitchen table in between the kitchen and television she looked up at Ezra expectantly. "Right..." Ezra said softly. "Sorry, kid." The little girl was Ezra's daughter, Sage. She was the light in the darkness that was Ezra's life. Being a single parent wasn't easy and was made even more difficult with the fact of Ezra being an FBI agent, knee deep in a serial murder case.

Ezra uses the tongs in his hand to scoop up the sizzling pieces bacon and place them on a pink Disney princess plate along with a small serving of scrambled eggs and sliced strawberries. The man picked up the plate in one hand, and a small glass of apple juice in the other before he walked around the kitchen counter and placed them in front of the little girl, who was happy to finally receive her breakfast. She looked up worriedly at her father. "Is your hand okay?" Ezra smiled and huffed through his nose in response to his daughter's caring nature toward her father. "Yeah, I'm okay. Chow down. You gotta get to school soon." The man playfully placed a hand on the top of her head and ruffled her auburn red locks and ruffled them around, causing the little girl to giggle.

Ezra slowly sat down at one of the chairs at the kitchen table and lifted the cup of coffee that sat there to his lips. Sage poked at her scrambled eggs as she looked to be in thought until she slowly lifted her head to face Ezra. "Dad, why are there people who like to hurt other people?" The question made Ezra frown as his deep green eyes glanced upon his daughter's face. "I don't know, sweetheart. But that's why you have to be the best you can be... To make the world a better place." Ezra's eyes lingered on his daughter's face, seeing the hope in her eyes brighten. "You're gonna get them, right? The people who like hurting other people?" The little girl asked. A small smile tugged at the corner of Ezra's lips as he nodded his head. "Of course I am... Do you know who your dad is?" Ezra replied in a fabricated cocky tone while gesturing at himself, making the girl smile. "Now c'mon, eat up." Ezra urged.

Of course, it wouldn't be that easy. Catching a cold, calculated killer was something that fewer people could do and something that fewer people had the stomach for. It was a long, dangerous road that Ezra walked, but he wouldn't need to do it alone..."

Hello! I'm R E D A C T E D, and I'm looking for a specific plot to flesh out and turn into an amazing, detailed story. The main idea is that both MC and YC are FBI agents or police detectives who are partnered up to follow a string of dangerous cases. Together, our characters must work together (willingly and unwillingly) to uncover the truth and put the suspects to justice. It's all harder than it seems, however, as our characters must put aside their own feelings toward one another to maintain a professional relationship, but neither can hold back the gnawing urge for too long.

Themes this Roleplay Covers
I would consider this roleplay to cover dark themes, as we both would be stepping into the shoes of individuals who experience the darkest corners of the human conscience. Themes that I would consider for this roleplay are as follows:

Modern
Romance
Mystery
Intrigue
Psychological horror
Action
Blood/Gore
Domestic violence
Drug use
Sex/smut

My Character
The character I will be playing is Ezra Harper, 35 year old man clinging on to his humanity. Ezra is an ex-Marine Raider, and served in two deployments to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. He was medically retired after his MRAP was struck by a roadside IED, resulting in a broken leg and a traumatic brain injury which erased almost all memory of his childhood.

Today, he has a seven year old daughter from his previous marriage, and works hard to keep her safe from danger while being a good father. PTSD from the war riddles Ezra's mind like the plague, resulting in waking nightmares and occasional disassociation. Ezra barely sleep, and it shows. He spends the very little off time he has drinking and finding himself in strangers' beds.

A Bit About Me

- I've been roleplaying for about ten or so years now. I could write anywhere from 3 decently sized paragraphs to eight, depending on the level of detail we're going for.

- I'm a 23yo Male from the US, and I work a full time job as well as go to school. I could confidently say that I could get at least one reply in every day, maybe more depending if I'm working or not.

- I love making new friends, so don't be afraid to chat with me ooc! I also love sharing music and having all sorts of conversations.

If you made it this far, thank you so much for looking at my post, and I hope I was able to grab your interest!
