Hello all! Your resident posting of overdone announcements here. This is a slightly delayed, hopefully monthly occurrence that will keep you informed on goings on at the site that don't require their own posts.

The big ones today:

1. Donations

2. Monthly Challenge

3. User sharing forum

4. Social media and recruitment

So lets take them in that order. But first, A thanks to each and every one of you from the staff. We're growing bigger, faster than we've ever expected and in terms of participation, recruiting and voting, you guys (and gals) are unbeatable!!! 157 members, second place on TopRPsites and we're not even two months old.

1. Donations:

Two things to say here. First, you guys have been extremely generous. If you see a member with a red and gold name, give them a hug, a pat on the back, oral... whatever you can to thank them for helping out. Secondly, because of this, we are planning to put the money to good use. At the end of the month, we plan to buy an annual sponsorship of TopRPsites. This saves us A LOT relative to buying monthly. We aren't there yet from donations, but the admins will split the difference between us. That said, if you are AT ALL inclined to donate or think you might this year, before the end of this month would be the time it does the most good. Any donations after that point will be going to servers and to add ons. The sponsorship gives us extra votes, advertising on the site and most importantly, new members!!!

2. Monthly Challenge

We're still awaiting more participants in our monthly challenge for May. There is no minimum length or skill level. Even if you don't think you can win, it let's you test your abilities. If you are interested, but lacking time, message me. We are considering extending the deadline slightly.

3. We're considering adding a forum section for users to have casual chats or to share things like journals, blogs, off-site writing, art and hiatus's. If there's anything we're missing on that list, let us know.

Oh... the theme is "Sanctum Tavern", name suggestions for the sections are welcome.

4. Social media and recruiting.

The Inner Sanctum, like an aged grandmother, is finally on Facebook and Twitter. Though hopefully not quite so close to expiring as any of them... Anyways, links are below.

Twitter. Follow us @sanctumstaff

Facebook.

These will both be used to announce any maintenance.

Recruiting:

Two things to mention here. First, if you recruit someone to the Sanctum, please let us know. There's a medal for you. And second, we strongly encourage you to spread the word. We've grown a lot so far do to word of mouth and we'd like to keep doing so.

Best regards to all,

The Sanctum Staff

We generally prefer that OOC be kept to PMs. The problem is that they are for one thing, likely to cause alert issues for people involved and also keep itself constantly in the "New Posts" Queue. OOC is one of those things that really has no reason to be public and it's better for everyone if it can wander a bit without flooding the site. It also counts toward post totals and other things that might be used in the future for trophies.

I'm open to being contradicted—but I think PMs are best for OOC, since there is no reason for other people to be able to read them.

That said, we do have a character's section which you could use to aggregate character sheets (which we might move to that section).

I think we need a forum games area where people can chill and do something while they wait for a response.
Sorry if it sounds childish

We already have one! Look under Grand Tournament, the Jousting lists section.
