Heyo, friends! I am Nirrim, and this is a search thread intended to scratch a very particular itch of mine. As of right now, I am seeking just a single partner to write this story with me. I am open to potentially taking on more.

My Writing:

• I try to reply once or twice a week, and I'd like to find a partner that aims to do the same. With that said, I am likely one of the most patient writing partners, and I will totally understand if you need to take occasional breaks, even extended ones. Still enough, I would like for someone that is committed to creating a long-term story with me. I'm a transparent communicator so I'll let my partners know should I need an extended break.
• The length of my posts is variable, between 200-2000 words. I'm not strict on this, but I'd ask my partners to be regularly able to produce 2 paragraphs per post. I enjoy shorter posts particularly when it comes to dialogue, and I like having a healthy amount of back and forth.
• My writing may be somewhat rusty at parts, so I ask that my partner be somewhat lenient and understanding (as I will be). I am still committed to producing quality posts.
• My stories will always involve dark themes, including descriptions of gore, abuse, violence, betrayal, and more. I'd prefer my partner to also be interested in these themes. But I still love light-hearted themes, humour and the like, but I love a tone of severity in my stories and I find mature themes a good way of conveying exactly that.
• Romance is a paramount theme in my stories. It makes my heart happy to write cute, wholesome scenes between our paired characters. That is not to say I will rush into it. I want it to develop naturally, slowly. Something organic and real. I want banter, I want struggle, I want arguments. The whole package.
• Discord is available upon request. (For OOC discussions).
• Please be passionate about the creative process. I adore when my partners actively participate in worldbuilding and character development out of character. Ask questions, come up with scenarios, anything! This is a cooperative storytelling experience, after all.

With that out of the way, let's introduce the plot that I created this thread for:

Spoiler: The Twin Flames of Lumivane

The Realm of Lumivane has long been an isolated, xenophobic island nation. The population is majority human, who worship deities known as the Xueyan. They are Vulpine spirits, normally taking the appearance of humanoids with fox-like features, such as ears, eyes, and tails. (Kemonomimi). The northern part of Lumivane has been sealed away for centuries, the border defended by a massive wall called The Great Bastion. Within this realm of shadows dwell the Fomori and their host of twisted monstrosities, and while the Bastion itself acts as a great deterrant for invaders, the primary defence of Lumivane is a concept known as the Twin Flames. Two Xueyan are chosen to bear the burden, carrying their respective flames within them until they pass them onto their children.

Xueyan often take human concubines to breed with, but on occasion, they form incestuous relationships. The offspring of such relationships are considered pureblooded, and are considerably more powerful than those with human blood.

Our tale follows the current Twin Flames, Xueyan siblings that are quite literally twins. This fact resulted in an exceptionally strong bond with the flame itself, resulting in an unprecedented time of peace for Lumivane, and the ever shrinking influence of the Fomori. That is, until one of the siblings vanishes without a trace. With only a single flame remaining within the borders, the Bastion grows weaker every day she is gone. Her brother, Ravien, is sent away from their lands in search of her, his only lead being the soulbond they share.

Some additional tidbits that I'd love to include but haven't fully brainstormed yet:

• The Xueyan usually eat raw flesh, and they love hunting. They do not shy away from violence or gore, which makes them a little unhinged and otherworldly to humans. They especially adore human liver.
• The reason for the sister's departure could potentially be related to their father's abuse and untoward obsession with the beauty and purity of his daughter. (up to you).
• We could play with the idea of a love triangle between the sister, her brother, and a potential human lover?
