The World of Caldeara
This world is spherical like Earth, except it has a large River of fresh water that runs diagonally through the hemispheres and cuts the land into two parts. The River, as it is referred to, has many branches that flow from it, bringing life giving water to more distant locations, but it does not reach all the way. Some areas have small backed up ponds due to clever engineering and the need for water in areas that are fertile for farms, but on the whole Caldeara is a desert planet with different types. There are the coastal deserts that use large fine spider silk nets to collect water from the fogs that waft through every morning. Arid deserts have a small measure of rainfall each season, and the plants store this precious liquid as it can, and the animals here have developed and evolved to consume these plants. Some areas, like the Khunera Empire, use sun stills to create water from condensation, though the occasional water merchant wanders through and sells his wares for a hefty profit.
World Currency
Seroc Pearls

Several places along the river have become rather dangerous as the predatory Serocs have claimed and denned in the nooks and underwater cave systems that etch into the coastal deserts. These animals are reptilian in nature, and have a highly evolved colony mindset. They also happen to be the creators of Seroc Pearls. The currency used between Empires and Kingdoms. As such, Pearl hunters put their lives on the line when they travel into these underwater dens in search of discarded pearls. These items are made by the salvatory glands of the Serocs, who use the pearls to rid their mouths of detritus and have begun using them to claim mating rights to the opposite gender.
In civilized society, the more perfectly round shapes are sought after as they are highly valued, along with the rare red pearl. The color red is only secreted by alpha female Serocs, and are dangerous to find as it requires a hunter to delve deeper inside the den. Most hunters perish early in life, and those that live to be older have missing limbs or appendages and scars as a token of their dangerous trade.

Races
Dracen
- Humanoids that are descended from draconic beings, now only sporting one trait of their bloodline. Usually Tails, less so Horns and Scales. Unadorned ones, without any additional appendages, are treated as lower class with no real rights. This race is usually Onyx skinned to shades of Lavender, or dusky hues of red. Each member of this race ONLY sports one of three appendages (Scales, Tails or Horns), or none at all.
Horns are reserved for the elite ruling class and is kept within the bloodline.
Scales denote the Spiritual Caste
Tails are the common layman
Unadnorned are the lowest caste and treated with derision.
Dracen reproduce by laying a singular egg, but only after the male has built a highly decorated Bower as part of the mating ritual.

Raithes- Creatures imbued with the element of fire. They have black sclera's with red pupils, usually have flames dancing under their skin or glowing from their body in multiple different ways.

Faol- A race of anthropomorphic birds that typically nest in the Fang Bluffs. They tend to keep to a flock consisting of a diverse range of species, have no class or governing system except by feats of strength or cunning. Mates are chosen with high flying acrobatics.

Trimar- These will be your closest relative to humans. There are many differences but the most pronounced is the third eye in the middle of their foreheads. Children are born with their third eye closed, and each subsequent stage of life indicates how open the eye is. At adult age the eye is fully functional and open. Trimar have the ability to see 10 Seconds into the future, and it aids in their fighting ability. This race is very tribal in style and tend towards having a war chief in charge as opposed to a fully developed kingdom. Give them a few more decades and they will probably grow in strength, power, and intelligence.

Animals of note
Serocs- A reptilian creature, much like a crocodile, but with elongated legs, and longer tails and snouts. These creatures can get fairly long and are considered the current main predator of The River. The excrete a specialized saliva that forms pearls in the folds of their jaws, they present potential mates with their pearls. The more spherical the pearl the more it fetches on the market. Red pearls are excreted by Alpha females and are highly sought out, rare, and dangerous to find as you must delve deeper into the underwater caves of the Serocs in order to find the Alpha's nest, and her subsequent hoard of red pearls. Serocs work in a hive system, and use their numbers to protect their young.

Empires and Kingdom

Empire of Khunera
Khunera began as a simple outpost for the True Adorned ones. Beings with scales, and horns and tails, they walked bipedal as the people do now, and sported a variety of colors and called Dracens. There were true mates, and familial ties, all was peaceful in the world of Khunera and everyone existed well with full access to The River by way of a small river branch called "Kadi-sa", this river branch ends squarely in the Dracens opulent palace. The Dracens believed that the True Adorned ones built the palace as a way to invite more water from the river, as it sports a pool in almost all levels. Clever plumbing allowed the water to flow through aqueducts that spiraled around the palace, and bring fresh water to all who dwelled there.
The first Dracens, Marra Fa'qma (A red scaled Dracen Female) and Dyalib Libdil (A white scaled Dracen Male), Empress and Emperor respectively, were written to have been True Mates. A rarity nowadays, but a firmly held belief that each Dracen was but half a soul, and would one day meet their partnered soul and become as one. The people now believe that such a thing is only written about in Myths, but many wide-eyed and well bred Dracen maiden find the history to be telltale signs that there is a perfect mate out there. Somewhere.

History records that despite their "True Mate" status, the two Dracens, Fa'qma and Libdil, were at odds with another. Many historians differ on their opinions why, some speculate that the Caste system now in place was done so at the Behest of Fa'qma who had a penchant for organization and Order, while Libdil disagreed with Fa'qma's preferences, holding fast to the belief that every Dracen had a birth right to whatever desires they wished. Fa'qma and Libdil fell into fighting, and Chaos reign in the Empire for many decades before finally Libdil fell to Fa'qma's blade. Their egg was said to have faded from history, no one knows what happened to the only heir of the First Reign.

Caste System
The empire of Khunera is ruled by a caste system, handed down since Fa'qma cut down Libdil. She instated the caste system just in time as soon the bloodlines between the people muddled and the True Adorned ones lost their adornments in favor of just one. Horns, Tails, and scales were cast into their seperate castes. Until recent times where a fourth caste was added. The Unadorned. These are the out casts and trouble makers, given the undesirable jobs in the Empire. Trash and dead body removal, manure farming, and so forth. Soon the Caste system evolved into something more.

Horned ones became rare. These are the powerful Elite, and generally ruling class. The current rulers of the Empire of Khunera are horned and have been for a handful of decades.
Tailed ones became the norm, and were set to more appropriate jobs and positions in the Empire. Administrators, Merchants, and the like.
Scaled ones became the spiritual caste, becoming the cornerstone of many Libraries and Temples where the God
is praised and worshipped for bestowing the First True Adorned ones with their gifts and likeness.
Finally, the Unadorned ones, this caste has no features as horns, tails or scales, and thus have been exempted from public view in many cases. Festivals and Empire gatherings are forbidden. This caste typically takes the jobs no one else wants, and includes Seroc Pearl Hunting. As the loss of an Unadorned one is not amiss and only serves to keep the lines pure.

Current Khuneran Rule
Currently, Emperor H'inalay Nafi rules Khunera. He is undergoing a betrothal to Empress Intended Ayazel Mifa. Both Nafi, and Mifa sport horns. Nafi has tall straight horns, whereas Mifa sports shorter curled horns close to her head. The betrothal is being supervized and orchestrated by Empress Mother H'inalay Tinash. She is a tall horn, like her son, but has become older and is ceding rule to her son. Nafi rules with the help of his mother and a council of five. Each council member represents a caste, two for each caste except the horned caste which is represented by one council member and the Emperor, with the exception of the Unadorned ones.
Council Members
Shamyah Irah- A Tailed one - Economist
Reemsad Yas- A Tailed one - Guild Manager
Mahalsan Laa- A Scaled one - High Priest of Uptamptra
Baqay Moyus- A Scaled one - High Priestess of Uptamptra
Duahad Nahar- A Horned one and cousin to the Emperor - Advisor and tie breaker

Kingdom of Munit
Den of impropriety. Kingdom ruled by thieves.
Assassin's Guild? Ruled by "Masters"
Slave trade hub
All races live here, well no one LIVES here, they survive as best they can.

Iow
A tribe of Trimar.

Falkwyn
Kingdom that is ruled by Raithes

Organized Crime Groups of note
Pearl Pirates of some sort, probably attempts counterfeiting.
The Untouchables- Unadorned gang that uses attacks in largely populated areas to bring attention to the lowest caste and the plight of the poor
Something kinda cool here
Something scarey here

Rule of Magic
Magic must have a source, either through a ley line or through the use of components equal to the needs of the intended spell. If you want to bring someone back from the dead, then you need amother sentient beings' life.
