Stuff about me...
Howdy, spacer! I'm Wren/Ren, 20 y/o, and currently suffering from too much free time. I've been RPing for five years now, but I've had the itch to write for as long as I can remember (there is a truly god-awful "book" I wrote in kindergarten lurking on my father's old computer somewhere, and I pray it never sees the light of day). I write all things fantasy and sci-fi, but I'm happy to stray into other settings if you have a strong craving and we have good writing chemistry.
I'm very laidback and not the grammar police, so don't stress out about trying to make your writing perfect. RP is a hobby; it's supposed to be fun, not a second job! Quality over quantity--don't stress yourself out over matching my posts. My only request is that your responses are at least a paragraph or two, so no one-liners, please! My responses are usually 400-1000 words, but my starters get much longer (1,200+), and scene descriptions tend to possess me now and then...
My yucks:
-Romanticized rape/non-con (Meaning between our characters)
-Pain play (Intentional bleeding, knives, etc.)
-Hate sex (Makes me sad, lmao)
-Hentai stuff (Just... No, thanks)
-Excessive bodily fluids
-Weird nicknames (Kitten, daddy, mommy, etc.)
-Non-negotiated BDSM (BDSM is fine, but it needs to be discussed between us and our characters.)
-Overly "cute" characters. We're both adults, right? (Stuff like "plwese
" just gives me the ick.)
-Too large of an age gap.
For this plot, I'm leaning towards MxM, but if you have a really well-written female character, I'm willing to hear you out!
But enough of the boring stuff... Let's plot!
They Call Me The Wanderer
A Space-age Romance
Pairing: My Human character x Your Alien character
Introducing...

Malachi Laylee!
Mechanical Engineer Crewman Aboard CS Cav'al
My newest craving is a space-age romance loosely inspired by Filk music, Star Trek, and the Humans are Space Orcs fandom. Again, very loosely inspired, you don't really need to know anything about the source material. All you really need to know is that humans are new to the galactic scene and that your character might not know much about humanity.
Feel free to come up with your own alien race or steal a race from pre-existing media! (Mass effect, Star Wars, Star Trek...) Bring on the funky biology; bring on the cultural differences.
Get weird, have fun with it!
About Malachi
Malachi is... a complicated guy. A bit of an asshole, a bit of a loner, Malachi devours the galaxy one job at a time. When on-world or on-station he kisses anyone with a willing mouth and drinks like he's got an extra liver (spoiler alert: he doesn't.) He never retraces his steps (too many broken hearts) and goes where the cold of space beckons him, never staying put for more than a few months at a time.
Malachi doesn't mean to come off as aloof or cold, but being the oddity, "the human," gets old. Sure, he knows humans are brand-new to most people, but come on...
"Do humans really drink caffeine?" "Yes. Stop hovering around my coffee..."
"Do humans really not have mating seasons?" "Yikes, uhhh... next question, please."
"Is it true that humans naturally produce adrenaline?" "Yes, and frankly, I don't know how y'all achieved sapience without it."
.

.
After eleven years of this, Malachi mostly keeps to himself. It's easier to just be a passing face in the crowd, the nameless Deathworlder that keeps his head down and does his work and then gets gone before people start getting any ideas. Malachi's only love is the furthest star in the sky, and he'll chase her for as long as his legs can carry him.
He's just signed onto a six-month contract with Captain Bhave of the CS Cav'al, a medium-sized luxury cruise ship traveling from the planet Vapus O to Cruna 2MC.

...Which is where your character comes in!
There are endless possibilities for your backstory...
.
.
A pampered prince on a boring vacation?
A fellow Deathworlder who just Gets It?
A starry-eyed explorer?
A single dad?
A dancer? A fighter?
The galaxy is your oyster! (Har Har)
