Whew! Well, it's been a while since I've posted here. I'm mostly checking around see what's going on at the moment and updating the request thread. All that being said I'm not really looking for anyone to fit any certain plot-line or role for me. I'm just trying to hear some new ideas and see if I can find new writing chemistry with someone. I'm totally willing to follow your plot ideas and try to feed your cravings.
As long as I have a character to fit them. If you're in the same boat as me and seeing what's going on I'm open to brainstorming together.

SMUT
I'm going to get this out of the way quickly, I am not looking for a smut partner. This doesn't mean I'm opposed to writing smut, but it does mean I'm not here for a smut centered plots or sexual centered role-playing. This doesn't eliminate the potential for sexual events in a role-play if it happens 'naturally'- Say in a hook up sense or in a romantic sense, but I'm not necessarily looking to throw my characters in a thread just to have sex. Especially if my characters and I, are still getting comfortable with things. If we do write a smut thread I have maybe two characters that we can do a smut exclusive thread with, under very specific circumstances. If they're your thing and if those circumstances can fit into what you want.
I will not change my characters or create another character solely for smut. This being said, I will not be able to write a long-term smut thread with someone I've never written with.

WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR

The type of threads I am looking for will probably go somewhere in The Dark Alley section of the site. Apart from that, I tend to write stories with supernatural elements. It's always been what I used to escape the real world. Obviously some characters are more prominently supernatural than others while others can be written as or pass as completely human. However, there are a few that absolutely must have supernatural aspects to fit their backstories.

I mostly play masculine/cis-men characters, and only play masculine and dominant characters in smut until I know you well. However, I'm not opposed to playing other genders or feminine characters in other threads. So long as it isn't smut-based. I do have plenty cis-women and/or a few non-binary characters, etc.

Oh also! I see an influx of people who write in past-tense. I, however, think I write mostly in present tense. Sometimes it'll transfer to past, but I think it's mostly present. I don't realize I do this. I actually have a really hard time policing myself about writing past-tense if people require me to do it. I do it on accident. I just don't realize. I lose momentum if I realize I screwed it up mid-post and have to rewrite everything when I am already like 600-700+ words in. I've really tried. I'm dyslexic and have ADHD, it takes me a long time to write. If I have to go back and spend another 1-2 hours fixing things I'm just gonna be overwhelmed and frustrated. So unfortunately, if you're particular about tense or have a strong preference for past-tense, I don't think we're going to be compatible. I personally don't care what tense you write in. To be honest, I probably won't even notice.

Themes

  • Semi-realistic dark fantasy.
  • Victorian/Edwardian Era.
  • Demons
  • Anything Supernatural.
  • Supernatural Circus
  • Survival
  • Post-apocalyptic/Dystopian (Nuclear, Virus. Probably not zombies, but maybe.). Currently full on dystopian type themes, sorry.
  • Dominant
  • Sometimes I can play switches, it depends on the character you ask for
  • I don't have many no's for smut and erotica writing. What is willing to be done mostly depends
on which character you are asking for, but there is a (very) small group of things I give hard no's in.
Contact me privately for smut/erotica limitation.

    Fandoms
  • FROM
  • Yellow Jackets (Of-age OCs, I have ideas for this.)

  • Deadly Class (University ages 18-26)
  • The Vampire Diaries
  • True Blood
Taboos I WILL write (Story/theme wise, these may or may not apply to smut)
the themes in with stars are the one's I personally am drawn to writing, but none of these are requirements unless stated otherwise.

    Taboos I WON'T write/Hard Limits
  • SA (Smut, cnc and dubcon is....okay, but it depends on the character I'm writing.)
  • Furries (It makes me personally uncomfortable. Like maybe if it's a costume hobby for YC, but I don't really want it to be a part of the plot or YC wearing it regularly during scenes.)
  • Neko/Inu Romance/Smut (I've tried and I just literally cannot. I don't mind if it isn't romantic/sexual though.)
  • Bestiality, obviously.
  • Step-sibling romance or smut. (It's the same as incest to me, personally.)
  • Under 21yr smut, just no. Same case if you're 18-20. We can write, but it's not gonna be smut.

A list of my active characters:
I can usually think up plotlines for specific characters when prompted. If you're not sure what you're looking for you can pick a character concept or form that interests you from this list and ask me about them. If the names beneath this have italics/bold that means will be HIGH muse characters, meaning that it's easiest for me to write these characters consistently and in a multitude of different stories. Meanwhile, other characters might be a little more specific.

Other Information

Who are you, how long have you been writing and what kind of things do you like to write?

Hello! Online I go as Peculiar, or Cul. I am 26 years old, I have been writing on and off for over a decade now. I've been roleplaying since before I even knew there was a word for it.
I like to write a lot of dark themes, but I also do light themes now too!

I will say that most of my characters have some level of neurodivergence and/or trauma. Therefore, I'm probably not the best person to write with if you're someone who is content sensitive. I'll always discuss boundaries with my partners beforehand, but I'd rather you be safe than sorry. I don't want my writing to upset anyone in a way that could be harmful to them. So if you're looking for glitter and sunshine in your stories, I'm probably not it. I can write happy scenes and fluffy talk, but my characters will never be unaffected by their personal experiences or their flaws. I write dark and gritty themes. Most of characters experience a lot of turmoil/are working through traumas. I like to use roleplay to work through and evaluate things that I, and the people around me, have experienced in life.

How long do your replies tend to be and what is your writing schedule like?

Length
My replies will generally range between 400-1200 words, but mostly stick somewhere around 600. I don't post match and will not post match.
In the same breath, I don't need my partner to do so either. However, I've noticed that I begin to struggle when my partner writes less than around 400 words.

Ideally, I'd like my partners posts to range from a minimum (or average) of 400 word count, and for them to at least write half as much as me. (Example: 400/800-500/1k, etc.)

Frequency
I will reply weekly unless agreed otherwise. I'm busy in day-to-day life and often have multiple threads running at a time. I like to keep posts weekly so I can make sure all active threads are getting equal attention without overwhelming myself. If I'm unable to reply I'll let you know ahead of time. Sometimes, if my other threads are slow and I have a high muse you can get 3 posts a week from me, especially in smut and more casual threads. I don't care as much about the quality with those.
Full disclosure: If I don't get a heads up beforehand and don't hear from you, at all (even if you just send a meme or song that's 'hearing from you' to me) for 1+ month I'm going to assume the story has been abandoned. If you answer 2-3 months later? I will not answer. Unless I've agreed to reboot/continue the story. The silence would have probably led me to finding different hobby to fill the free time I was dedicating to ours.

What I expect from a partner

(1) I would like if you were able to post weekly or bi-weekly, or at least communicate with me when you are unable. I don't mind if you post more than once a week, but don't expect me to match rates. I don't mind a nudge when it's been 7 days or longer since your last post, but if someone tries to pressure me to post faster than I agreed it tends to feel like my boundaries aren't being respected. If I get overwhelmed trying to meet so many threads/partners expectations it'll hurt the quality of my posts, and eventually annihilate my muse. (2) As said above, I have a hard time realizing what tense I'm writing in. I don't care what tense you write in, but please be okay with both present and past tense. I've tried to write strictly past tense and cannot. I don't care which one you do. I probably won't even notice. (3) Lastly, communication is essential in any and all relationships. Please tell me if you aren't sure where to go from where we are in the story, if you are becoming bored, or if you are offended/triggered by something I've written. I won't be insulted, I'll be grateful.

In these cases I'd usually address the problem in one of the following ways:

1.)
Boundary Check, an open discussion about what we expect/want and what we don't expect/want.
2.) Try something new. Changing the environment, adding new characters, timeskips, etc.
3.) Adjust the dynamic of our characters to better suit our muse. Sometimes, I won't mind swapping MC for a different one if the chemistry isn't hitting.
4.) Edit out the portion of the post that was upsetting.
5.) If all else fails or the situation appears to be irreparable we can absolutely agree to close the thread.

That being said, if I haven't heard from you and check-in and open the floor for you to leave/tell me if anything is wrong and there is and you don't communicate that, but keep it in limbo and pretend you're still interested? It's a major pet peeve. Not only for a partner, but for an acquaintance and a friend. I won't be interested in pursuing any interaction with you, at all.

It takes me 1-4 hours a day to write my posts, and I'd like us to be upfront if it feels like it's dragging and time is being wasted. Telling me our writing doesn't mix/you aren't vibing with my character(s)/the plot isn't working is fine. I don't mind that. I get it. We can still be friends and chat if you like. However, outright misleading me is really upsetting and triggering. It quickly turns writing into something that makes me feel awful. In the past it has made me quit the hobby for years.
Dishonesty, being misled, or people not telling me what they're actually thinking when I asked if things were fine in our RP has been the cause of many of my hiatuses/muse deaths.

If you want to bow out quietly, fine. I understand that too and this goes for everyone: if you don't answer the thread for a 1+ month and you don't mention you'll be taking a hiatus or anything/keep in contact (even by just sending a meme or song). Unless you message me directly I'll assume thread is dead, whether you reply 5 weeks or 2 months later. If you do not communicate with me, if we do not have a conversation about bringing the thread back. I WILL NOT ANSWER IT, at that point I've likely found another story or hobby to slot into the free time I was taking to answer our RP.

What is your tolerance level for gore? Violence?

I love gore and violence with purpose, or when it's plot and character relevant. So long as we aren't god-modding and we discuss any physical harm that will be done to OCs beforehand. I don't care about NPCs as long as it makes sense. An example being: characters should dispose or clean up bodies in public settings and there is some risk of other repercussions. If characters just leave the bodies laying around to be found just because you wanted to write gore to write it without any repercussions/other efforts, it takes me out of the scene. I love gore, but I don't like treating it dismissively. Bloody fights? I can let it slide sometimes. It's better if they have to ditch the scene or get kicked out of the event though.

Do you write sexual content? If so, what are your kinks? Limits?

Yes. Kinks and fetish vary from character to character in my case, I usually have someone for everything.
I will not do underage characters or animals/characters heavily resembling animals though, nor will I do scat.
Those are my hard limits.

Feel free to comment below or message me privately if anything here has struck your interest!
Even in the case that you are not looking for a thread at the moment I love to chat.

NOTE: These are just the ideas I had off the top of my head. I thought I could throw something out here to maybe spark someone's interest. Like mentioned above, I'm still completely willing (and prefer) to write stories for characters rather than characters for stories. I am, and will always be, a character driven writer.
Nonbinary/Agender x Nonbinary/Otherwise Gender non-conforming
Romance: Yes!
Smut: Light

It's been so difficult to find people who are actually comfortable writing with non-binary characters (they/them) Even when I've managed to find someone who says they're willing to write it starts to look like they only agreed because they were worried they'd be seen as non-inclusive if they said they weren't. People quickly flake or don't follow through. It's been frustrating. I'm interested in romance plots between NBy, agendered, or genderfluid. I enjoy writing with a multitude of traits and dynamics in these sort of relationships.
I like writing characters that have both masculine and feminine traits/perspectives/clothing and are gender non-conforming.

What I'm looking for with this dynamic specifically is a nice wholesome romance - maybe some light smut and exploring their identities/finding comfort in their physical body.
I AM NOT INTERESTED IN FETISHIZING THESE CHARACTERS PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME IF YOU ONLY WANT TO WRITE SMUT WITH A NB CHARACTER OR 'FEMBOY'

Assassin X Assassin
I don't have any particular plotline for this but I was thinking our characters are:
Option 1:
Romance: Maybe/Not necessary
Smut: Maybe/Not Necessary

In this plotline both assassins are tasked with hunting each other.

Maybe someone has gone rogue or they work for different organizations that are competing with one another. Maybe one of them has been told to eliminate all threats from the opposing side. Maybe one character has already assassinated their target and the other is sent for revenge. Eventually, for one reason or another, they end up teaming up. I was thinking maybe one discovers that their organization has lied to them (perhaps the other is a component to said discovery/reveals it to them) OR both realize they're actually from the same company and it's trying to take them both out. This one obviously needs some fleshing out, but I really don't mind whatever side MC is on or which idea we choose. I don't need romance in this one either, but I don't mind it if we do.
-
Option 2:
Romance?: Yes!
Smut?: Yes

1 x 1
They've been forced to work together to take out a bigger threat.
Distrust and paranoia is built into their career and it's all they've ever known.

First lesson in assassination, everyone is waiting to stick a dagger in you as soon as you turn your back. Second lesson, they'll slip poison into your drink. I guess you're sleeping with one eye open... if you can get any sleep at all.
Obviously you can't trust this person - or can you? They'll probably fight the feeling of safety and partner reliance at every turn, but eventually they won't be able to hide it anymore.
This is the only person they ever felt understood by. The one person they've given a knife to and trusted not to cut them.

Ideally this would be a sort of slow-burn romance. Maybe a enemies to lovers sort of vibe. These two characters - who are deeply distrustful and cautious have no choice but to let their guard down with someone for the first time in their lives. It grows into something more.
I don't mind the gender of either character. (MxM, FxF, MxF, Any) Ideally I'd like to write a male-bodied character, but I'd be willing to try to write FxF if that's more comfortable for you.

Note: I also wouldn't mind adding supernatural elements to either of these! I love love love writing people with special powers, vampires, and werewolves.

Assassin X Target
Romance?: Depends
Smut?: Depends, if so light.

1 x 1
An Assassin (MC) has been tasked with eliminating their target (YC) it's taken them a while to find them and they've finally found their location...
but something isn't right. This person seems completely innocent? This can't possibly be the person they've been sent to kill. Why?

Maybe they're in a respectable career or maybe they're some poor millennial/Gen Z who's trying to make ends meet. They could even be some elder trying to enjoy their retirement. Or Maybe YC was born into the wrong family and completely unaware that they're compensation for the sins of their father... or maybe they really did do something to deserve this. They convinced themself they had escaped. They thought got away with it and could live a perfectly normal life. Ultimately, the reason your character has a hit on them is up to you. My only limits are no crimes that involve any form of SA.

In this plotline YC is the person MC has been sent to find. They are the target but, for one reason or another, MC presumes that they're are harmless/innocent. They have a change of heart and decide not to execute them.
It's another plotline that'll need some fleshing out, but I think it could be interesting and unexpectedly turn into something kind of wholesome. Despite the premise it'll probably not be an action packed plotline. It might even become a sort of slice of life type of vibe. I figured not everyone is super into playing the trigger happy type of character. So I made a second option. I'd prefer to play a male character for this, but if you're also playing a woman I wouldn't mind writing a woman. It can be romance or a bestfriends sort of plot. Or even if you choose an elder character MC could become a sort of helper friend. (Sorry but I'm not comfortable with Elder X Younger romance so that's not an option if you choose an elder, meaning 60+ years - like actually an elderly person. I don't mind ages 21-30 or ages 30-50 type of gaps for story purposes.)

Demi-god(s) x Caster/Demi-god
Romance?: Not necessary, but possible.
Smut: Not Necessary, but possible.
Group or 1x1

I actually don't have a very specific plot for this, but I have a set of twins that I'd really love to write.

I was thinking maybe YCs has powers that might manifest at a certain age or that they've received some kind of blessing, perhaps after a near death experience or they've been gifted for another reason, and they need someone to help them control those, learn how they work, or they know where they might come from. They can either be appointed one of MC to assist them, or find them through some kind of word of mouth or supernatural locating. We could also go maybe some kind apprentice route. Maybe YC has to be sent somewhere to learn how harness said powers. Whether this can be a romance plot is mostly dependent on the age of YC.

Guardian Angel x Human
Romance: Yes, but not necessary
Smut: Yes, but not necessary.

Similar to the last prompt, but built for people who don't like to write magic or would rather write human partnered with Supernatural.
Perhaps your character has recently gone through a loss. Their loved one before passing prays that someone will look after them. Or, again, your character has a near death experience and this angel(s) saves them. Maybe they broke a rule.
Maybe they can't or won't leave YC side in the aftermath. I can write two characters for this (the twins). Maybe one in dragged into the broken rule and guilty by being present, or finds out and disapproves of the others choices.
This one isn't fully fleshed out, but we can totally discuss it!

Polyamory
Romance?: Yes, that's the point.
Smut?: Maybe/Not on the main thread
Group or 1 x 1

Note: I don't mind if we double up and write multiple characters if you'll be willing to write multiple characters, but ideally this would be a group thread with maybe 3 people writing.
I really love polyamory as a thread concept and have written it on many occasions. I worry about asking for this because I do not want it to be a smut-fest. I want to write an actual polyamorous relationship that develops in thread. Maybe they're friends for a while and they realize that... maybe this is more than just friends. Maybe they meet on a trip and start to explore the concept. I want them to discover new ways to love and experience something beautiful. This thread will not have smut on it - we can make separate threads for smut between our characters, but I do not want the story itself to be about smut. Any gender is fine. Although, I wouldn't want it to be be a MxFxF(xF) unless the male is a more submissive personality though.

Unlike most of my requests I'm going to be very picky about this and heavily vet those who express interest.
Please do not reach out about this Polyamory dynamic if you have not done at least one of the following:
A.) researched B.) written C.) experienced a polyamorous relationship IRL

Bones & All
Romance?: Yes
Smut?: Possible

1x1
I don't usually write canon characters, but I'd really like to try to explore Lee and try my hand at writing him.
Maybe Maren wasn't the first person he helped learn OR if YC isn't an eater then maybe Lee is just tired and wants to try to live like real people do.

YC (an OC) meets Lee at a gas station, carnival, or diner somewhere in the United States. The season is the end of Summer into fall, Lee's summer work has come to a close. Now he's looking for his next destination.
Maybe your character is just a wayward soul like him, or maybe he/she is an eater too. Perhaps, one of them is in in bad shape after an eat gone wrong, or perhaps one of them is having car troubles. They need a ride to the next city.
If YC is an eater they'll smell it on each other - and, like Maren, maybe YC needs someone like Lee to teach them how do this.

To be honest, this will probably be a pretty fanfiction vibe, but I have wanted to write him for ages. I'd be using reference from both the film and book. So this'll most likely develop into a sort of twisted southern gothic plotline.

Yellowjackets
Romance?: Possibly
Smut?: No.
Group preferred

I think this would be best in a with a group if a few someones were willing to try it, but we can also try to write it 1x1. It would be taking place in the adult timeline with our own OCs.

Years after the events of the wilderness our characters finally decide to leave their boring little town in New Jersey. They want take a trip together, maybe somewhere warm or somewhere quiet, but the wilderness has different plans. By some horrific turn of events they find themself stranded again. Either they've crash landed again (boat or plane) or got turned around while camping. All they know is that they need to escape as soon as possible before what they were catches up to them. They can't let the wilderness take them again. The objective of this story will be to find a way out as fast as possible before Winter comes. Let's hope they can keep their sanity while they're at it...

This thread will be referencing events and characters all the way into the end of Season 3. I don't mind if we use cannon characters on the side, but I'd really like to write this with OCs. I also expect those OCs to be women.
This thread doesn't have to feature any of the taboo events that happen in the show itself, but will obviously mention said events in dialogue and potentially memories because - well it's based on that.

FROM
Romance?: Possible
Smut?: Possible, but not intended.
Group Possibility

"Unravel the mystery of a city that imprisons everyone who enters. As the residents struggle to maintain a sense of normality and seek a way out, they must also survive the threats of the town itself and the creatures lurking in the surrounding forest, while also searching for a way out."

I don't exactly have a plan of action with this story, but I just really like the premise of the show and would like to write inside of the town. So I'm willing to talk about it and would be excited to hear someone else's ideas. Initially I kind of figured we could have OCs dropped into the town at night and try to survive the first night? Or we can just explore it like we think someone would when they first arrive. Maybe they're left searching for something to keep them occupied so they won't lose it like they hear so many people have done. I also don't really mind too much if who I'm writing with wants to RP a canon character (Boyd, Jade, Fatima, Randall, Donna etc) I just know I'd want to do an OC. I feel like people who haven't watched the show might be able to do this one too. Maybe it would be good a group thread. Not sure, but I won't mind posting an interest check if we want to do that.

Open again!

ISO: Romance, Slice of Life (NSFW can be included), Cozy Vibes (NSFW can be included), Characters aged 25-35, a thread where MC is masc. (he/him)
Essential:
minimum 400 words per post. Brain popcorn is making writing difficult for me this season.
Note: I still don't require matching, but please write at least half or more (Ex: 400 you/800 me, 500 you/1,000 me, etc.)

Our thread doesn't need to include Smut. I'm mostly craving slice of life, but if you don't mind a slow paced RP I loveee plotting.

Smut Dynamics:
Bold is the role I'd be writing.

Experienced Dom Masc./Any gender new Submissive etc. - (not all sex pls, training without sex also and/day to day rules)

Fem. Dom (no sadist)/Service or Worship Submissive Masc. etc.

Experienced FWB Masc./
Exploring FWB Fem. - (ideally will develop into a romance)

('Deviant') Religious man/Feminine dominant or Submissive (Cis.Woman, Trans.Woman, Cis.man - CW: potential narrative bigotry)
