Physical Distinctions: Due to being forced to maintain of daily routine of body treatments throughout her life, Katarina has an unusual enhancements of her natural features:

  • Her skin is very soft and almost sheen with a honey beige tone from daily honey-milk baths. She lacks a single scar.

Speed: Desiree is a lithe horse, though large in stature, and is built for running and flying at higher speeds. This horse in particular excels in speed, even with Katarina [who is 120lbs] on board. Her max speed is 70mph in a full sprint.

Strength: If working as a draft horse, she can pull about 400lbs.

Aerodynamics: Desiree is an incredible flyer. Even beyond her wings, her body is more structured for flying than it is for running: honeycomb structured bones, hydrogen gas bladders, and an incredible metabolism. Instead of hair on her rear, the horse has a dynamic tail feather that can flatten horizontally or vertically, allowing it to double as both a fish propeller/turner, and a stabilizer for gliding. Her vast and long wings allow her to spontaneously take off or gallop into the skies. She can maneuver with acrobatic speed and perfection, and the muscles behind her wings are very vigorous.

Stamina: This horse can fly miles on end. Her running stamina is well, but not nearly as great as her flying.

Sight: The ultraviolet glow within her irises suggests something magical about her vision. Desiree can fly directly towards the sun without being blinded and sees excessively well in the dark. Her precision of sight exceeds well over that of eagles. Curiously, even if Katarina is obscured by trees, clouds, or even rooftops, the horse seems to be able to locate her from amazing heights.

Summoning the Pariki: Arikara is a demonic shepherd of the spiritual realm, living originally upon her ethereal world in an existence parallel but separate from the corporeal. With the usage of her crook, she can call forth her spiritual herders called the Pariki to do her bidding in manipulating, herding, capturing, and incapacitating wild spirits and spiritual essences that exist in the world of the living.

Extrasensory: A shepherd is capable of seeing, communicating, smelling, and touching anything ethereal. She can sense the presence of spiritual energy and easily blend her fingers between the worlds to make contact with both living and spirits.

Transformation: Within the ethereal world, Arikara has a very different form. Although a demonic spirit within her world, she takes on the corporeal flesh and human-like demeanor for the sake of blending into the environment and concealing her identity from the spirits themselves. Because of a shepherd's reputation within her world, spirits normally recognize her as a 'shepherd' in her demonic form and often flee in fear of the Pariki. Consequent of her vessel change, much of her spiritual energy and shepherd abilities are subdued.

Taking on her spiritual form releases an substantial amount of additional energy. ~Abilities~

Herding: The “flames” within a Pariki’s horns can serve as a ‘foul’ toxin or an attractant to sentient spiritual essences. Using the former, the herd can deter and manipulate spirits from their locations by thrashing their horns at them. An aura of "heat" extends 3ft from the flames, but spirits can typically sense the danger before then.

Luring: Using the latter of the above, a Pariki can draw a spirit towards them or reel in loose spiritual energy. The cerulean luminous light of their horns acts analogous to spirits as light to insects.

Note: Luring and Herding only work on spirits without flesh. (i.e Cannot herd or lure a human's soul within the body)

Wounding/Soul Bleeding: Using the ‘noxious’ trait of their horns, a direct charge from the Pariki can cause damaging effects on all spiritual essences, including actual souls within flesh to a lesser extent. They can cause ‘soul bleeding’, in which a soul leaks out its spiritual energy with increasing instability. This causes gradual weakening and progressive retardation of the soul/spirit, and eventual lost if the 'wound' is not repaired in time. The horns have absolutely no mass effect, making them weightless and impossible to block using physical means. This does not apply to their bodies, which hold the full force corporal weight.

The Pariki can use a direct charge to force possession out of a body

Devouring: All spirits have a certain protective barrier around them, in which the horns of the Pariki pierce to cause 'bleeding' [see above]. A ‘bleeding’ spirit is a vulnerable one. Wild Pariki often stalk a bleeding spirit, using to 'lure' effect of their horns to draw in and feed on the leaking energy until the spirit is too weak, in which they then devour it. This is how they feed.

Ghosting: Although only for one second at a time, the Pariki can become completely intangible/spiritual. This allows them to quickly abandon the force of their rapid accelerations and make rapid turns and shifts of direction, leaving only the after-wind of their haste (makes them appear to be a haunting ghost). This allows for very effective "Trapping" below.

Trapping: Pariki can lace and solidify the energies between their horns and the horns of their herd members, creating pestilent 1ft thick lines between them up to 10m long.

-Running at higher speeds , the Pariki can lead trails of their noxious energy, to which other herd members will hold and rekindle by feeding the trail with their own horns. This causes a stable connection between two Pariki. By leaping and running around the spirit (using Ghosting) until a net is made, the Pariki can trap a spirit.


Biology and Symbiotic Relationship between the Pariki and the Shepherd:
Pariki are ethereal creatures led and guided by Spirit Shepherds like the demon Arikara.

While the Pariki have a close resemblance to elks, the creature's name possesses the translation of “look-like-wolves.” This is because they do in fact hunt and devour spirits. Despite their appearance, the Pariki have the carnivorous mentality and appetite of wolves. They use the ‘flesh’ of spirits to nurture their bodies and fuel their flames. The more branching upon a Pariki’s horns, the more powerful and older they are. When a horn reaches a certain energy capacity, it breaks off and gives rise to a new Pariki. They only 'die' from lack of spiritual feeding to fuel their bodies, which is very common in large packs of wild Pariki.

Within ethereal worlds, Shepherds have learned to concentrate and manipulate the energies within a Pariki's horns to control them. The hierarchy of the Pariki is determined by the spiritual energy their horns, the strongest of the herd ( one who has sired the most through horn shedding), is their alpha. Shepherds amplify the horns on their own heads with a deceiving energy, so a family of Pariki sees them as their alpha and obey them with unconditional loyalty. The shepherds can possess as many as the family breeds. Greater herds grant the shepherd greater spiritual prowess, and shepherds with massive herds can cast extraordinary shaman-like magic . Thus a shepherd spends their life building their herd and guiding the Pariki to feed. In return, the Pariki live much longer and Shepherd becomes powerful.

In some cases, Shepherds are summoned to the corporeal as bounty hunters of spirits, possessions, and poltergeists that have gone amok. Within the corporeal world, a Shepherd’s abilities are severely limited, but their crooks serve as gateways to the ethereal realm. They can summon the Pariki, number limited by their capabilities, and give them corporeal bodies to exist in whilst maintaining their ethereal-based horns.

However, the number of Pariki and the duration they are allowed to stay within the corporeal is also very limited. Each pair of horns, including the Shepherd's, serve as an additional 'gateway' to the ethereal. While this make each subsequent Pariki easier to summon, it opens the possibilities of other things leaking through…

Brief Description on Abilities
Empathy: The unicorn like horn gives her the psionic ability of an empath. This gives her access to the emotions of others and to feel them deeply within herself as well.

Siren's Touch: An involuntary coat of enchantment on the cells of her body. Skin-to-skin touch causes her magic to coat the nerves of the person, centering on the parts of the nervous system responsible for pain and pleasure. It travels from the point(s) of contact and interlocks into the brain of the host. It then generates a heroin like effect, causing the excessive spill of dopamine and generating an euphoric high. Simultaneously it dulls willpower and makes the victim prone to suggestion. If Enigma attempts to suggest a command and it is resisted, the magic coating the nerves becomes disrupted and chaotic, causing a noxious and painful effect on the person as if to discourage the behavior. The more resistance, the more dysphoria. This too is involuntary. Enigma can mitigate the flow of magic, but she cannot stop it. Long-term exposure leads to addiction, withdrawal, and can even permanently alter the brain until it is no longer capable of independent thought. Because of the empathetic nature of her horn, she often avoids physical touch out of sympathy and value of life.

Succubus' Kiss: Like a normal succubus, she can drain life essences through her mouth. Like the Sirens Touch, her empathy provides an emotional deterrent from using it.

Metagame info: The influence and efficacy of Siren's Touch is strongly dependent on the victim. While Enigma is not particularly aware of it, testosterone is the driving component and she is unconsciously attracted to the smell of the hormone. Consequently, men are by far more affected than women. It is quite rare that a woman can be influenced. However, the strength of Siren's Touch is also enhanced by attraction. So if a woman with any level of testosterone is strongly attracted to her and has particularly low willpower, Siren's Touch can affect them. Siren's Touch does not distinguish between races, but is affected by age. This is also because testosterone is a driving component. Children and prepubescent teens are not affected because male testosterone levels peak ( at least in humans) ages 18-22. If a race doesn't have testosterone or the male reproductive organs have been removed, they are unaffected by her. She also, in return, finds them particularly unappealing. If someone finds her unattractive, ( MxM characters for example) they can also be less affected, but testosterone levels will still make them vulnerable. Older men are also less affected because of the natural decline.

History

Born from an incubus that bedded a siren, Enigma was conceived with predestined provocation and unworldly allurement. Abandoned soon after birth, she knows not of her sinful heritage and has only learned of her seductive nature through her interactions with the society around her. She could easily influence others through a cunning and natural twist of the tongue or a bat of her eyes. Her prodigious sway evolved into a honed talent, and soon society catered to her wishes in early youth. Her blissful chapters of adornment changed when she grew her horn. Emotional whispers started leaking into her mind, unwelcome perversions and desires of others. More strangely so, her touch became a little too desirable. Men started performing unusual tasks just for a brush of her finger, and others became frighteningly ravenous for it. As she matured and the horn grew, her beauty became surreal, as if a magical enchantment enhanced every ounce of her body. She was suddenly a man's favorite scent, song, and even taste; she was the only thing they ever wanted to touch. Their emotions bombarded and bedazzled her, but she chose to immerse herself in the pleasure she gifted. She thought herself a goddess and bathed in the attention of her devotees. As she indulged in her magic, a new kind of hunger impregnated her. It was like a slow burn within her deep forest of narcissistic pleasure. Then, at the peak of her rush and surrounded by the fawning admirers and zealots of her body, that hunger sprang from the undergrowth. With a new vampiric lust, she suddenly devoured the vital essence of her worshipers. Delicious in taste, invigorating in body, but toxic to her mind. The suffering radiating from the piles of soulless husks was a nightmare she did not anticipate. It was cold and tormenting, inspiring such self-revolt, regret, and shame that she vowed never to stray into that darkness again. Chaining that craving away forever, her demeanor became stoic and detached. She deliberately curtailed her powers and avoided contact with men to save their lives and preserve her humanity.

Her Orc Race (Abyss Volcanic Orcs):
Although born with jade skin, most of the orcs' from her tribe color range from an ashy gray to pure ebony depending on soot, magma, radiation, and ash exposure as they grow. Upon touch, their skin is rough and rigid like volcanic rock and has a fathomless thickness. Underneath the many layers of skin, there are bundles of fortified muscle to exemplify their enhanced strength and animosity. Due to the correlation with their harsh environment, one can estimate both the age and skin resilience/thickness of an orc based on the color. Jade being the most delicate and ebony being the most vigorous. This also hints at their specialty (for example, a scout that spends most of its time outside the volcano will have lighter more jade skin whereas the workers and warriors have typically darker skin tones).

These orcs are different from their cousins in a magnitude of ways. Having lived in the volcano for many generations, these orcs demonstrate adaptions that allowed their ancestral survival within the heat, radiation, and toxins.

All the orcs demonstrate a strange phenomenon of possessing crimson eyes, something that also seems to darken with age and exposure to the volcano, and their retinal vessels are black. It is an assumed adaptation with the only obvious benefit being that they can see excessively well in the dark.

Their bodies are accustomed to brusque conditions and have a thickness stronger than commonplace metallic armor. Their skin is so tenacious that it can be compared to solid marble against blade. It is suggested that the orcs are unable to superficially feel fine textures or pain from years of their sensory receptors being burned away. They also do not seem to sweat due to their glands suffering the same fate, meaning they must have other ways to regulate their body temperature in the volcano. The thickness also acts as an insulator and heat deterrent, protecting them from extreme conditions of not only heated but cold environments.

History:
Natasha was born in a cruel, unmerciful tribe of Ashen Orcs. This tribe thrives on values of strength and superiority, weeding out traits they deem feeble or unworthy from early youth. Weakness and fragility are near taboo, and consequently, not many orc children survive to adulthood. But the ones that do are viciously battle-hardened and formidable. While an outside viewer might think this a sadistic and miserable life, Natasha thrived through it. She became addicted to the adrenaline of surviving near-death, and imbibed it until her passion was defined by the feel of clashing metal in her blades and crushing bones under her knuckles. She rose through the war pits of the orc culture until she reached adulthood and thought herself worthy to stand amongst the Generals of the Orc King. The Orc King has one rule: to prove yourself a worthy enough warrior, you have to slay a beast of great strength. The beast's head would then be skinned and fitted to a helm that signified the rank of a general. The current four held: a dragon, a minotaur, a wyvern, and a basilisk; you must slay a greater beast, then challenge a general for their place. If the beast is deemed unworthy, you are killed. The Orc King himself is garnished with the three heads of a hydra. Accepting this challenge with glee, Natasha roams the land in search of a great beast to behead and prove her worth. As far as she is concerned, this is the start of her claim to the throne.
