He/Him
The weight is crushing
Grinding oppressive and unseen
A foe without form
An enemy always unrelenting
I am a warrior
I have no cause

How does one fight
When the strikes land
The pain so deep
Yet whirl and gone
I am a warrior
I have no cause

You've to push on
When the snow thick
The cold so biting
The darkness not waning
I am a warrior
I have no cause

One can't lay down
To close one's eyes
Give in to fatigue
Lay down, not rise
I am a warrior
I have no cause

You take one step
Then you take another
One foot, then more
Do not stand still
I am a warrior
And I stand firm

For the darkness fades
The light shine forth
The shadows will fade
Enemy can't hide forever
I am a warrior
And I stand firm

The wounds shall close
The cold fade warm
The wind, once bitter
Fades, the light cometh
I am a warrior
And I stand firm

A test this is
One then looks down
Where once one set
Now many footsteps appear
I am a warrior
And I'm not alone

The enemy has failed
Attempts to bring'e down
Laid fallow, now inept
Unexpected boon given forth
I am a warrior
And I'm not alone

The weight is lessened
Not gone, never gone
But a burdened shouldered
A gift before unforeseen
I am a warrior
And I still live!
