Alright, so.. I haven't done one of these in quite some time. For the last several years, I've been on roleplaying sites where people just existed, watching others join and disappear without ever saying a word to one another and that was simply the norm. This is a welcome change to that way of doing things, as it reminds me of the older days when forums were the only place you could roleplay. That being said, please forgive the terribly made introduction.
Don't steal my ideas, don't god-mod my characters, and try to have fun. That's what we're all here for.
Hi, Hello, Hola. I'm going by the name vjd for my time spent here. Feel free to toss nicknames at me if this doesn't suit your fancy. I don't mind. I'm a very easy going, laid back kind of guy. However, I do work a full-time job that keeps me very busy and would appreciate understanding if I go quiet every other day or so to catch my breath.
There are a couple of trigger-topics that I would encourage you to avoid with me if you want to continue writing together.
These are also against the forum rules, so as long as you're not breaking those, then we should be alright.
I've done just about anything and everything in roleplay, but I mostly just enjoy the genres of horror, action, and comedy, with the posting length of 4-5 paragraphs. I can do other genres, or less or more in terms of length, if my writing partners request it from me. Otherwise, that will be my default when writing. The only genre I am not completely comfortable writing is adult romance. Let's just say I've got more bark than bite these days.
When it comes to sharing ideas for a story- I've got a lot to share. I've got many ideas that are too heavy for a roleplay, and are being written or drawn out in books or comics. From time to time, I may want to bring in some of those original characters so I can test their personalities; how they might talk or interact with other people, and get a better idea of what I'm creating. I would also like to play around with some canon characters from games or shows that I really like, with my own twist on their situations so I can fit them into some kind of cross over story. I don't expect most of my characters, or my choice of canon characters, to fit into most other stories, so don't be surprised if you see me posting suggestions more than jumping into fill roles for other people.
I don't really have anything else to add. Use common sense and general respect for other writers and I'll have no problems with you. Even if we're not roleplaying together, feel free to chat me up or ask for an opinion. ^^^ This doesn't mean that if you like my writing, and you think I might do well in a role you're looking to fill, that you can't PM me and ask me to take a look at that role. I've more than likely already read the suggested thread, and just haven't thrown myself at it.
