history [optional, but greatly encouraged to do]: Credence grew up poor - his family lived day-to-day with the money that they had in order to survive. it was his mother, his father, two sisters, and two brothers, with Credence being smack dab in the middle. he was the oldest male in the family, other than his father, and had the responsibility of trying to take care of the family. his mom ignored him for most of his life, being smart enough to not get attached to the men in her life in case they got sent to war or forced into servitude. his father was very rough with him physically and emotionally in order to toughen him up so Credence would be able to take care of the family when his father left. for years, he was taught to do many different odd jobs, but his family was forced into debt after Credence's father died, and no matter how much he worked, he wasn't able to keep up with the needs of his family. as such, he was forced to become a servant to the kingdom in order to pay off his family's debt. he is trying to do his best at this job since it is still new to him, but being in the presence of a King is nerve-racking, and he's always scared he is doing something wrong.
