Here I will be posting concepts I created that may be helpful in sparking inspiration in future projects.

Some Concepts have a root concept. The Cursed Universe is a root concept that others are built on for example. Even though many concepts may be designed branching from a root concept, they are designed with the idea that they can be used on their own in a different world build. This means that the history of each concept is optional but still included in the concept descriptions.

The concepts will have links so I can expand on them in their own pages.

The Cursed Universe:

This is a setting in the modern day supernatural world with superhumans and unique land masses and locations (only one or two have been made) and somewhat of a history.

History (still a wip)
Deity is the Creator but not a mother, although many would like to believe She sees all as Her children and thus would never want them to come to harm. However, as an artist loves his painting, Deity loves Threah. When there was nothing, Deity sought to create a piece, something She could look at and admire that reflected Herself. So She created light and dark, weaving such things from her mind as one would a tapestry from sheep's wool, and She found it intriguing.

But light and dark meant nothing without something to shine upon, and so the canvas of Threah was woven as well. It was a sphere of stone that danced around the light and it was so full of energy and potential. It inspired the weaving of water, which in its tendency to flow and gently carve, became Threah's oceans, lakes, bays, rivers, clouds and rain.

Threah had light, land, and water. But it needed something more. So, the first Fae were born, woven again from Deity's mind, along with various beasts, Dragons, and Djinn. Plants took hold in the stone of Threah's lands, and Deity left it untouched for years, marveling at how the creatures and plants grew, changed, and affected the land. And for a time, all lived in harmony. Little is known of this age in Threah's history. What is known is that this was a period in Threah's life when Deity wove the most. The Fae and Djinn were ever changing by their own will and soon established their own order based on what achieved balance, for the mortal beasts fed their existence in one way or another. Fae were the first to tame beasts, while Djinn saw beasts as playthings. The Dragons remained independent for their cunning and forced Djinn and Fae to see them as equals.

Unlike the Fae and Djinn, Dragons and mortal beasts changed almost imperceptibly from generation to generation. Species that once were, became no more, and new ones appeared to fill the space. Beasts fed on beasts, beasts fed on plants, and plants fed on what remained of the dead beasts. This cycle of life and the natural course of change formed the very foundation of the Fae's culture as well as the Djinn.

Dragons however, would slowly become longer lived from generation to generation, as well as gain strength and power. They varied greatly as well, though they, being mortal, fed on beasts rather than toying with them or adopting them.

From the beasts came apemen, and from apemen came humans, giants, trolls, ghouls, ogres, and goblins. The Fae were the first to take an interest in these creatures, given their natural tendency to tame beasts and nurture them. These early Hominids showed intelligence through their tendency to use sticks and stones as tools, so the Fae began teaching them to speak. The goblins, giants, humans, and trolls proved to be more intelligent than the ogres and ghouls, and it didn't take long for them to learn of the Fae's understanding of the world.

Goblins were more prone to greed and were especially cunning and deceptive.

Ogres were slower minded, but their gluttony and greed knew no bounds along with a tendency towards violence when they didn't get what they wanted.

Ghouls were gluttonous, but not greedy, and tended towards cannibalism and scavenging.

Giants were also cannibalistic, but were quick witted and weren't as easily angered.

Trolls preferred the rot, decay, and waste left by other creatures, but they weren't gluttonous or greedy. They were especially cunning like the Goblins.

These creatures began forming communities, wearing skins and bones for clothing and learning more advanced tools along the way. Humans were the first to begin making art on cave walls, and this marked the Age of Stone.

Murder was as yet not a thing to be understood, for in order to survive, beasts killed beasts. These Hominids were no exception. Intelligence, greed, deception, and the ability to craft what they needed still made them nothing more than beasts in the grand scheme of things. The humans were the only Hominids to begin worshiping the Djinn and Fae, providing offerings for favors. The Djinn especially enjoyed this and took advantage of it, seeing these transactions as a game the humans invented.

Although many Fae took to adopting humans and protected them from Dragons, others hated and despised humans as well as their more grotesque relatives. The only Hominids the Fae did not hate were the Giants. Some Fae even took to toying with humans. These became known as tricksters which included such as Xalez the Raven, Jobek the Coyote, Rhajaki the Fox, Fonz the Spider, Lugwai the Rabbit, and Soduhs the Snake.

While some humans continued to worship the Fae and Djinn, it didn't take long for some to grow resentful. The Djinn's tendency to twist wishes and the Fae's strict laws led to many humans resorting to violence. However, they were powerless and this violence led to humans being punished in a variety of gruesome and twisted ways.

These humans began fearing the Fae and Djinn, and those who chose to run were left on their own. A woman named Veldiega led these people away, treading into lands they'd never seen. Some died along the way but they would soon find themselves where others had never gone. This land was called Burn Rock Valley by the Fae and Djinn, for the stones would burn their flesh. For a time, humans never traveled to Burn Rock having been warned by the Fae, but Veldiega, who'd seen trolls, ghouls, goblins, and giants come and go from there, had chosen to risk it.

This became the first village of people who could defend themselves against the Fae and Djinn, making weapons with shards broken from the burnstone, even going as far as to crush it into a volatile powder and inventing slings to strike against Fae and Djinn that attempted to attack them. Deity was impressed and decided Threah was ready for the final weave, which led to the creation of Angels.

She wove the realm of Sembahn and within it, Noryahk was the first, endowed with reason and authority over the Angels after him. Second was Heliodis, who's role was to provide comfort and love to those mortals below and Noryahk. Movehk's role was to be a messenger, speaking to the mortals for the Angels.

All beasts had souls. When they died, they wandered or were reborn. But many were growing weary with their existence. Mortal souls never were destroyed, but they were capable of change with time. Thus, Dremell's role was to guide souls to Sembahn. Deity gave these Angels the power to affect change upon the world.

"Threah is beautiful. Threah will change, for change is also beautiful. All that is and will be is beautiful. Threah is in your hands. Facilitate the change of Threah and all upon it. Do not force it. All possess free will, from the most powerful of Djinn, to the lowliest of mortal beasts. You are not to undermine the free will of these beasts. Your names must remain secret, for those who learn of them and speak them to you will become Angels, and you will become a mortal soul. You can not change one another.

"You are to be a beacon of hope and voice of guidance, your only role is to allow Threah and all upon it to change as they will."

With these last words, Deity was no longer heard. The Angels were given nothing else. Movehk spoke to the Veldiegans, learning about them and the other humans, the Fae, Djinn . . . and over time, the Angels learned about the world Deity entrusted into their care.

More villages formed. Founded by Veldiega's brothers, Dregg, and Skagard, and over time they would grow. Heliodis grew to truly love everything that existed, adopting all creatures with a motherly affection, even though some did not return that love. Noryahk remained detached and simply observed. As souls left their bodies, Dremell guided them to Sembahn. Some souls refused for various reasons, and at first, Dremell was frustrated at this, but remembering Deity's instruction to let Threah change as it will as well as those who lived upon it helped Dremell have patience and understanding.

Heliodis took a liking to the sun's light and would often play with it, and with it, she made three stars that would soon become the angels; Skolokim, Sarkosa, and Oyehka.

Skolokim the Firstborn was strong, powerful, and aggressive. But he was also prone to flights of fancy and had a talent for illusion, oftentimes using this talent to entertain his mischievous sense of humor by playing pranks on the other angels.

Sarkosa the Secondborn was playful as well, playing alongside Skolokim. However she found entertainment in such things as dance and song. She marveled at the creations of those that lived below on Threah,
