Idea I have that I didn't think the game proper service to. I play as a pandaren fresh from the Wandering Isle while you play an adventurer of any race or class that, for one reason or another, interacts with.

The emphasis ideally is focusing on culture clash and to an extent genre clash. After all, even though the Tolkien-esque Night Elves are just as divergent from the dieselpunk Goblins as they are from the Wuxia martial arts Pandaren, all the other fantasy races and cultures have had time, wars, and truces to get used to one another.

The Pandaren have experienced none of that by the time they first arrive, likewise the only people at a stretch that would even possibly know the Pandaren would be the no longer immortal Night Elves.

So how do both sides react to yet another ingredient being thrown into the fantasy gumbo? We both decide.

(Obviously there can be action, fighting, and adventure.)

Edit: this offer is still open as there's lots of combinations of races to play with.

I am interested let know what details you want to discuss. Thinking human, or blood elf, as paladin.

or undead rogue.

My other main is a Paladin so I'd feel a little awkward playing opposite to one. Or maybe a Blood Knight would actually be different enough that it wouldn't feel like I was playing against what I already know. I mean my Paladin is a Draenei Vindicator anyway so it just depends on the individual character's personality more than anything.

I would be interested in either the Blood Elf or Forsaken because my normal main is Tushui so playing Huojin would be pretty interesting and fresh. Wouldn't mind playing against a human though.

The big thing to note is that this takes place during Mists of Pandaria but at a weird time space. Right after the Wandering Isle was found but before Pandaria itself was rediscovered. For the sake of the RP, as far as anyone's concerned, Pandaria is still a myth and even the Pandaren being talked to only know of it by legend.

Rogue and Paladin are the only classes I know. Never played the other ones.

That's fine. Besides it's more the lore and culture of the races that important for this RP although obviously lore factors into something like a Paladin more than a Rogue.

Which race would you ideally like to play?

I will go with Rogue then to avoid the historic lore of paladin.

Probably a shifty Blood elf or human which seems even less involved with the world if you want them to explore it together. My character could have been on a ship, got caught in a cosmic storm. I plan on making the character ambiguous in gender.

Well pump the breaks for a second. This isn't meant to be romantic if you were under that impression.

And I actually do want the lore to be involved. That's part of the point. The idea is that it's two characters from cultures the other didn't even know existed until recently.

Specifically for story I was thinking that my guy could be part of a Huojin or Tushui emissary. You know the class trainers in the starting area and capital? I'd be playing as either one of them or as attached to that outfit. So you could even be a starting human/elf rogue and meet me either in the starting area or the capital city.

What do you think?

Pretty sure I never made a mention of romance for you to get that impression. Just playing something unisex essentially.

Starting human sounds good.

Just wanted to make sure.

Any preference on me playing my personal toon or should I play as Lo, the class trainer for the human starting area?

All right. I'll play as Bao, and I'll RP his arrival in Northshire Abbey. That okay?
