Tin City rests in something comparable to the southwest desert of the contiguous United States; a nearly liminal space where the inhabitants aren't ever sure their experiences are legitimate.
Tin City, or "Sin City" as its residents are fond of calling it, is a Middle American-esque, post-industrial city in the Southwest desert of the United states. Here, there seems to be a teeming swarm of energies. Things go missing at random, lives are lost, children are missing. And no on know quite what is happening here. Too many residents chalk up the strange goings onto young riffraff and their own drunkenness. Simply declaring "that's none of my business!" and moving on. Those who do their due diligence will find that truthfully, the "Downstairs" (a hell-like dimension) has slowly been clawing their way up to the surface, intervening with the calm day-to-day of Tin City's residents. Strange things happen in the land of Tin City- beaches that erase memories, blissful evenings in the sand where malicious spirits roam uncaringly, beings that exist only to remind you of the horrible things you've done in the past, bur speak so softly you'd think they were your friend. Human beings with a thirst for blood and the sweetest eyes are waiting for you. Vampires, the immortal, the unending evil- they're all here. They're all here in this >10000 town, and constantly getting into trouble. But why, in this small, quiet town? What have they discovered that no one else has? What on Earth is the appeal? What could possibly be hidden in this desert wasteland?
Tin City exists in the present moment, but there are people here that live forever. What's going on in this quiet, shady town? Only you can uncover its secrets and inhabitants!

Here's the big boy of Tin City. Not really, he is a very small man- but the cannibalistic tendencies often get him into trouble with the general public. Suspicions arise around Jason Graves! One too may dead bodies found within his proximity and the locals are begin to question what exactly Jason is up to in Tin City. Is it an altruistic desire or mere naivety? His sister Anise is constantly flogging him for his desire to push forward, to find out the secrets of Tin City. Jason has a sordid and tired past, after spending his life in Tin City, he has begun to unravel the truth of the secrets at bay in this destination town. The water isn't clean, the air isn't clear. What do I have to do to restore the integrity of this desert land? And why does this large figure, cloaked on black, keep closing in on me...?

Name: Jason Graves
Pronouns: he/him
Sexuality: pansexual, not very sexual!

Physical Characteristics:
Age: 30
Height: 6'2"
Build: slim
Skin Tone: usually tanned and easily sunburned.
Hair: sun-bleached blonde
Facial Features/Beard: sleepy dog eyes accompanied by deep bags. Perpetual 5 o'clock shadow.
Eye Colour: light blue
Markings and tattoos: eyebrow piercing over left brow, "sun dial" tattoo, "TRY HARD" on collarbone, earrings.
Additional notes: Jason usually has some sort of cut or scratch on his face/arms/neck. Most likely defensive wounds.

Personality: Affable, generally good natured and willing to help his neighbor. He's a sleepy person, something you can hear in his speech and see in his face. Not easily angered by any means, but his temper is ferocious when provoked. Jason knows how to defend himself. He's sneaky and good at keeping secrets- whether that be others' or his own.

Relationships: Anise Graves, younger sister. Enoch Graves, adoptive father. Barnabas Sinclaire, sometimes stand-in adoptive father. (Unknown), biological mother. (Unknown), biological father. Marsden Sikaluk, toxic sometimes boyfriend. Kurtis Foster, employer. Sybil and Atticus Torosian, friends.

Background: Jason and his younger sister Anise were born to struggling parents who couldn't take the best care of their children. Jason stepped up to the plate to take care of his sister at the expense of his own childhood. Around age 12, Jason and his sister were abducted from their home in a supposed "vigilante" kidnapping. Enoch Graves came into the picture and usurped the role of father for the two children, who learned to live with their new parent and eventually took his last name. The three moved south and made a new home in Tin City, where the kids went on to live, by most accounts, very normal adolescence.
Enoch was certainly not an ideal father, but he loved the kids dearly and did his best to care for them. Jason was not the favorite in the household, Anise was always prioritized in school and sports. Jason was left to entertain himself as a teenager, eventually falling into a less-than-savory crowd. Exiting high school and entering the workforce was difficult for Jason, still not having real support from his father. He soon found himself in proximity to the begrudging vampire, Marsden Sikaluk who became the majority of his problems. Jason and Marsden are tied together in a nasty spiral that often leads to Jason getting hurt. Marsden was also the one to get Jason hooked on the adrenaline rush that is... cannibalism.
Jason fancies himself an ethical serial killer. He believes he puts people out of their misery, and he believes that he must partake. He's constantly researching, reading, drawing, and writing about his discoveries of the human body. Jason is fascinated by the idea of "paying for his sins", and this is one way he perceives to be purifying himself. Occasionally, he has a brief stroke of clarity that reminds him just how deep into this shit he's actually gotten. How he has to stay hidden in his RV in the desert with his meat freezer sucking for dear life at its extension cord.
Otherwise, when he can get himself together long enough, he works the bar at Good JuJu with Kurt. It's a simple life.

Barnabas, the disgraced immortal man. Born in a small town on the border of France and Spain, Barnabas Sinclaire lived a perfectly happy childhood in 1300s France. Unfortunately, his dreams would come to a screeching halt at the hands of a demon queen, and sends him packing to fulfill eternity without aging a day.
After spending enough time in Texas to earn a soft southern drawl, Barnabas bumped into an old cowboy named Enoch Graves. How did they end up in Tin City? Some sort of fucked up roadtrip as he tries to evade his ex girlfriend's attempts to ruin his forever-life. The two managed to settle down in the beach town while dealing with Enoch's aging and Barnabas' inability to do so. Nowadays he spends his time in his apartment, skimming the paper and drinking strong coffee, dreaming of retiring at age 45.

Name: Barnabas Sinclaire
Pronouns: he/him
Sexuality: bisexual, very romantic and very sexual!

Physical Characteristics:
Age: 45, he's stuck here in immortality!
Height: 6'4"
Build: hefty, strong and big shouldered
Skin Tone: pale to tan in the sun
Hair: auburn red, trimmed on the sides with the top pulled back in a tie.
Facial Features/Beard: a strong browed, full cheeked viking man. His left cheek bares a scar in the shape of a handprint that keep his beard from filling in there. His beard is full and well kept.
Eye Colour: amber
Markings and tattoos: many scars from too many trips around the sun. Tribal tattoos cover both his arms.
Additional notes: Barnabas has a tooth from some sort of large cat that he wears as an earring in his right ear.

Personality: Good spirited, everyone's favorite drinking buddy, and couldn't hurt a fly. Some may even call him jolly on occasion. Closer friends will know that Barnabas is actually rather melancholy, though he doesn't like to speak about what's on his mind. He spends a lot of time ruminating on unfortunate things from his past.

Relationships: Anise Graves, helped raise her with Enoch. Enoch Graves, boyfriend...fiance...husband? Jason Graves, helped raise him with Enoch. (Unknown), biological mother. (Unknown), biological father. Marsden Sikaluk, arch nemesis! Kurtis Foster, employer. Sybil and Atticus Torosian, friends. Aliza Duvall, ex fiance, arch nemesis!

Background: Barnbas was engaged to the lovely Aliza Duvall for a long, long time. Too long, some women may say. Barnabas ultimately chose to pursue is dream as a fur trader and left his cracking home with Aliza. The news broke her, and when Aliza revealed herself to be a high demoness of Hell, she cursed the man who broke her heart to wander the earth aimlessly for the rest of eternity. Blessed with this infinite life, Barnabas is able to sustain just about any sort of physical mutilation- something Marsden takes much joy in reminding him of. Marsden is essentially Aliza's "on the ground" minion, he follows Barnabas on his travels wreaking chaos in his path.
Barnabas has had several lovers over the years, but has real trouble settling down. He's constantly tasked with watching the humans he loves grow old and eventually expire. Barnabas is horrified of having his own biological children, even though he could technically reproduce. The horror of watching his child grow up and leave him is too much to bear, though he desperately wishes to be a father. One of Barnabas' most influential relationships was his friendship with Kit Koch, a sweet British bird who provided a lot of comfort to him in tough times. This was centuries ago now, of course... Barnabas is prone to daydreams and nightmares about losing her.
This is a state-of-the-art Man's Man. The wood choppingest, steak eatingest, beer drinkingest as they come, and while he doesn't like to talk about his feelings, he feels them very deeply. Barnabas is a tough nut to crack, but worth getting to hear his wild stories from years ago.
