Whether those sparks are from mutual attraction or the crossing of blades, Luathis will be the name you will be calling. You may know of me from: [ Dream Realms Roleplaying ] [ Mabinogi ] [ GaiaOnline ]. I love adding visuals and audio to my roleplays. My favorite genres are [ Romance ], [ Slice-of-Life ], [ Wuxia ], [ Werewolf ], [ Isekai/VR ] and [ Fantasy ]. I tend to favor group roleplays, because you can always count on someone to be active and to interact with.
I promise to [ communicate ] with my partners, as long as they stay engaged and communicate in return. Ghosting is high on the list of roleplaying sins for me.
As a roleplayer, I prefer to write around [ 3 paragraphs ] worth for one post if the partner gives me enough to work with. I tend to write [females] in [MxF romances].
Rules
- [ No Smut ] This is non-negotiable for me. Our characters can get intimate, but I prefer we fade the intimate details to black. I am driven by story and character-building. Thank you for respecting this!
- [ Do Not Control My Character ] I will respect your character as much as I want you to respect mine. We can always negotiate which side-characters can be controlled, but I prefer we keep our main characters our own.
- [ No Killing the Other's Characters Without Permission ]
Expectations
- [ Communicate ] As long as you communicate with me, we can work things out! I can be patient and work on previous posts, I promise.
- [ Post At Least After 72 Hours ] Our lives can be busy. Give me a heads-up if you have a holiday, an appointment, a family emergency, or just need to take a day off from writing. I'll understand. Otherwise, I'll be waiting in suspense with twitchy fingers or paranoid I'm being ghosted.
- [ Dynamic ] Every post we make should have one new detail to drive the story forward. If a partner just keeps reacting, the roleplay can go stale rather quickly. I can roll with the punches, whatever they may be, and adapt. It's a part of my skill as a roleplayer.
- [ Third Person ] I find this style more mature and engaging, giving us a natural outlet to build a well-described world.
Roleplay Ideas
*MC - My character
*YC - Your character
<< Vintage >> (Modern Romance, Slice of Life, Flashback Style)
MC and YC have history --- a young love wrought with misunderstandings and exhilaration. Five years can change quite a bit in your late 20's. The most popular high school sweethearts are finally tying the knot and have called their best friends from afar to the warm beaches of Florida. When their eyes meet during a silly rehearsal game, recognition and curiosity win out. Has their young love turned sour from distance and time? Or has their past romance aged like a vintage wine? Only one way to tell... All it will take is a brief taste.
- How It Will Work: We'll take turns taking our characters back into the past. However, the premise cannot be longer than a paragraph (5 sentences) or control the other's character.
- [Example] Memory: MC has been misled by Ashley, a classmate who has publically claimed YC as her one true love, and goes to help a teacher in the gym. Instead of seeing a teacher struggling to put up the gym chairs from an earlier pep-rally, MC sees YC. [Then we will begin the flashback between our characters.]
With Max and Ashley calling the wedding party in three days before the wedding for the festivities, the generous bride and groom prepared activities for them to enjoy as well. It can't be boring with the town hero and the golden heart of the Wildcat's Class of 2014 organizing the wedding after all.
Strapping her simple yet surprisingly comfortable cork wedges around her ankles, Alyssa began to read the instructions on the "✿ BRIDE TRIBE ✿" group chat for the activity at 10:00AM. Turning the resort's corner, Alyssa couldn't hide her amusement at the sight waiting for her, walking out into the bright sunshine and unbelievably lush green grass. A banner rippled in the wind with the words "THROWBACK" proudly displayed centered between two pictures. On the left was Max as a toddler in sunglasses in a toy race car. On the right was Ashley smiling brightly with glittering eyes... with cake everywhere else.
Laughing, Alyssa walked up to Ashley's picture, snapping a quick selfie with a teasing expression on her face. Typing into the bridal party group chat, Alyssa had a devilish look in her eyes full of schemes.
[Alyssa] -photo- You should recreate this on your big day with the wedding cake. ;)
After scanning the first few replies, Alyssa put her phone down and began to enjoy the festivities as others were arriving and scattering around. From peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, inflatable obstacle courses, to fill your own flavored powdered sugar tubes, there were activities and foods reminding them of their childhoods left and right.
Loud shouts made Alyssa raise her head from a silly coloring activity of the bride and groom as cartoon characters to realize Ashley was gathering everyone to the grassy clearing. Max joined Ashley's side, towing a familiar giant colorful parachute towards his fiancee. Alyssa's eyes lit up, and she laughed with glee before attempting to finish her coloring sheet and signing her name quickly. Once she finished, she added her page to be bound for the bride and groom. Hurriedly, she ran over to where everyone was gathering. Before she could get a clear sight of everyone around the parachute, it was already being lifted and then brought down. She found an open place between two people to grab onto the edge, before hearing Max shout "GREEN!" With a gust of wind blowing her hair back from the sudden lift, Alyssa realized she was touching the green portion of the parachute!
She couldn't help herself amongst the cheers, playful teases, and whooping being shouted around the parachute but to burst out into peals of laughter and begin sprinting under the parachute to the other side.
"We're going to catch you!"
"Make it! Make it!"
"Go go go!!!"
As she ran across the clearing and breathing fast, she was prepared to dodge the person running from the other side... Only to have her eyes widen in recognition and time slow.
She'd recognize those eyes anywhere.
A complicated cocktail of emotions stirred in her chest before she avoided his gaze and focused it on reaching the other side. Panic. Denial. Longing. Pain. Curiosity. She took a deep inhale of oxygen before leaning forward and willing her legs to move faster.
Alyssa ducked under the parachute, turned around to grab the edge, and then crouched to follow the others in forcefully holding the parachute edge to the ground -- capturing those who were too slow inside. Her eyes, however, were locked on the man across the parachute, looking for any reassurance it wasn't him. But the searing depth of his eyes and that smile could never leave her dreams. Fuck! Alyssa could only send back a sheepish smile in return before refocusing on the game.
