Said the spider to the fly...
I am as the spider in Mary's poem, weaving complicated webs to ensnare and ensorcel hapless flies. I decorate the threads of those webs with rich imagery of complex characters in sticky situations that will define them for good or for ill.
I am a writer with 20+ years of roleplaying experience. I love to write flawed, multi-layered characters that find themselves tested in the worlds I create. I am well-known for twist after twist in my story lines helped along by the side characters that often become main cast in their own right. There is nothing more pleasurable to me than when a story flows and my only job is to listen to what the characters tell me to write.
My range of posts is words to pages of words dependent entirely on the subject at hand. Folding the laundry should never get the same amount of attention that a first sexual encounter or the discovery of a vital clue should.
I can and have written everything from medieval to sci-fi, low to high fantasy, supernatural to slice of life. What I need is an idea that puts flame to the roman candle of my creativity. I have many writing samples available if one but asks.
I am a psychiatric nurse in a super max prison (that means that my inmates have a minimum sentence of 20 years and we have a death row and, potentially, executions) and that means normally I have a gravy schedule: I work Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday one week and Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday the other week arranged so that I have a three day weekend off every other weekend. It was pretty sweet and allowed me a lot of time to write....
...till Covid. Now I am working all sorts of extra hours because about 50% of our staff is out with Covid and it's not like we can just toss the inmates the keys and trust them to follow the honor system. This is why take 1 maybe two RPs at a time and communicate at potential stalker intervals.
My kinks are wild and varied, with very little off limits except stupidity. Want me to play my blushing virgin as a super ninja spy? Ugh. That's my no-no place. Want to play your barbarian poet singing my character love songs. Just... No. I'm not here to judge the kinks of anyone but with that said I also reserve the right to say thank you, but no.
I usually write as the females because all of my men characters are decidedly feminine. Not a damn thing wrong with that unless you are as I am: a decidedly alpha woman that prefers to read about dominant males.
With all of that said, I'm delighted to be here and excited about my chances for a thrilling RP.
