Nickname::
Race:: Human
Age:: 24
Sex:: Female
Orientation:: Bi-sexual

Details
Height:: 5' 8"
Weight:: 172 lb
Appearance:: Inspiration 1 Inspiration 2
Thea is a relatively tall and very muscled woman. She has trained for most of her life to be fast, strong, and capable in both life and combat. She has naturally light skin, however, it often has been warmed to a golden color by the sun. Her hair is a rich mixture of black and dark brown and falls thickly to her lower back. Primarily she keeps it in a braid, but when she is celebrating amongst her people she will adorn it with beads and rings. Her eyes are her most stunning and recognizable feature, they stand out against her golden skin and dark hair with their light hazel shade, and have even unnerved some people with their sharpness. Thea does have some Flakari regalia that she has fashioned for some of the secret celebrations her few remaining people of her clan put on. But you will mostly find Thea in her piecemealed armor, that consists of a chest piece, a full left arm piece, most of her right arm, and shin guards, a pair of breeches, a tunic under her chest plate, tall leather boots, and a tattered cloak that fastens to her armor.
Personality:: Thea is a brash, capable, and unruly woman. She grew up within the Flakari Clans and that has left her with a bit of a ferocious streak, it tends to show up in her readiness to take on anyone and anything. It has definitely got her in trouble over the years, but her intelligence and capability has kept her out of any serious trouble. At her core, Thea has a great love for her fallen people and largely lost culture. She does her best to uphold, practice, and remember the lessons she was taught as a child, but she cannot deny there is a streak of hatred and vileness that runs through her heart.

Weapons:: Thea is skilled enough to make almost anything into a weapon, but she reliably carries a sword, a short sword, and several daggers with her.

Background
Born amongst the Flakari, the clans of the South, Thea grew up living in the wilds of the Southern lands. Learning about the wilderness, her people of the past, and the trials that comes with being a Flakari. The Flakari are known for their strong, ferocious warriors. Some would suggest there is something mystical and unnatural about their warrior's ferocity, but if you were to ask anyone about it, many would dismiss it as simple gossip. Much of this knowledge stems from stories of long ago battles between the kingdoms to the North and the Flakari Clans in the south, as no battles have taken place within the recent history. But unbeknownst to many that have dismissed it as gossip, there is in fact a long running bout of magic that runs through the Flakari Clans. A magic that brings out the inner beast of all its trained warriors and aids them in their battles. The means to unlock this secret magic is held by the shaman's of the clans and bestowed upon them only after they have passed the trials. Something that Thea never got to take part in.

Thea was 16 when her clan fell at the hands of the Northern Kingdom of Daicathlon, one year shy of being able to prove herself in the trials and be welcomed amongst the warriors who had passed the trials before her. Somehow the warriors of the kingdom had discovered the secret to their clans abilities and sought to oust them from ever existing. The warriors of Daicathlon came after them with wild claims of treachery against them, but they all knew it was an attack fueled by a fear of what their clans might do. And so the Flakari Clans were crushed by a gruesome siege from the Kingdom of Daicathlon.

Thea survived the massacre through pure luck and she made her way to the very Kingdom that destroyed her people. Both as a means of survival and in hopes of seeking retribution for her lost clan. Thea has heard stories that her clan was betrayed by an outsider who was allowed in from the Kingdom of Daicathlon as a means of peace. Some say that the traitor was killed in the battle and others say he was cursed by one of their Shaman's. Thea has not found any clues to its validity or as to who this traitor may have been. It is a small part of her now that still seeks justice for her lost clans. Any mention of Flakari is now met with a heavy hand within the Kingdom and more and more people are being silenced, both those who are of Daicathlon and amongst the survivors of her own people. It feels as if a darkness is growing and pressing its weight upon them more and more each day. Thea has been considering more and more each day on if it pays to stay anymore or if it would better to pay her debts and move on to somewhere new.

Fakari Info & History

The People
The Fakari people have a long winding history that was held amongst the individuals of each clan. Though each clan recognized and called themselves of the Fakari people, individual clans were scattered wide across the southern lands. But a sense of community, the flow of the natural world, and their rituals are what the Fakari focused on and what kept them tied together. Many clans were nomadic during parts of the year, moving about as seasons changed and following where food was most abundant.

Each Fakari clan held a Shaman and a Warrior Commander within their community, a position of great honor and respect.

The Shaman was a clan's keeper of Fakari knowledge; their history, rituals, and magic. Every Shaman was responsible for teaching each clans person the history and rituals needed to follow the journey of a Fakari through this world. It was their duty to help the next generation to be able to understand and accept their true inner selves.

The Warrior Commander was a clan's protector. They would ensure that everyone within the clan was well trained and prepared to defend themselves. Their duty was to help every member of the clan understand their strengths, allowing them to better help the clan and find their place, as well as their weaknesses, both to be able to overcome them and understand their limits. Ensuring that the future generation can face all the trials before them.

While the Shaman is considered the head and the Warrior Commander is the heart of a clan, the soul of the Fakari people is cared for by The Elder. The Elder is responsible for ensuring the continuation of the Fakari people. They keep their history and knowledge fresh in the minds of all the Fakari people, and help nurture their people as a whole. Part of their duties is to help train new Shaman and Warrior Commanders, be a guiding presence for everyone, and keep the most treasured item of the Fakari people safe.

History
Fakari have always existed within the Southern Lands, it has been their territory since the beginning of time. Though as time has passed and more kingdoms have developed and grown, the territory that they roam continues to grow smaller. This has been the result of many things; changing times, younger individuals leaving the Fakari for a different life, squabbles amongst the clans, and wars with larger kingdoms are just a few of them.

If you were to ask a Fakari where they came from they would say they are ones of the wilderness. The first Fakari lived amongst the wilds and roamed the savage southern lands as a piece of it, never separate. It is this wild spirit that lives on in all Fakari and is only fully accessed after one has gone through the Rite.

Strengths
➸ Skilled Fighters - well known to be both incredible skilled and ferocious fighters.
➸ Inner Beast - the magic of the Fakari lies within their ancestral right to connect with their inner beast. This inner beast is the animal representation of their true being. Only those that have gone through the rite have full access to their inner beast and the ability to tap into that strength.

Weaknesses
➸ Verbal history - much of the Fakari knowledge is not written and is passed down through stories
➸ Diminishing clans - as time has gone on and the world changes, the future has encroached on the lands of the Fakari. Making their space to roam smaller and as some of the younger members come into contact with other cultures and people we have lost some to them.

Compilation of Random Ideas for RP
Ramla: So I did have somewhat of a plot idea, but nothing is fleshed out. It would/could combine your desire for a female knight x king/prince & Dragon x ?? roleplay. Essentially my character a female knight/mercenary goes after your character a King/Prince trapped as a dragon with the intention of killing him for money. No one knows that the king/prince is stuck as dragon. All anyone knows is that there is a tower that many have gone to to defeat the monster and no one has succeeded. My character takes the job to go after it, because she is at the bottom of the barrel in life. A bit of her history is that she was born into an old tribal clan that was wiped out when she was young. Her people scattered to the wind and the survivors were left to do their best to just not die. This left her pretty gruff and tuff and also bitter to the world, and she has found herself with a bit of drinking problem, some debts, and no money and so taking this job would free her of some of her troubles and if she doesn't succeed then well it's better than starving to death.

Imperium: I had the vision that perhaps the dragon was actually a human, and he committed a big mistake when he was in his young teens, egged on by his commander orrr his older brother-- that now rules his kingdom in his wake. I do think that possibly he has a curse..very similar to Fiona from shrek but reversed. Every night at midnight he turns human, maybe for an hour. But because the pain of shifting is so dangerous, he always ends up getting knocked unconscious or something of the sort. Seizures maybe?

Either that or…we can think of anything that wouldn't allow him to LEAVE or get very far.

Maybe they have to find an artefact that allows him to..somewhat have enough strength to resist the pain? OR, since I was thinking of having a bittersweet ending maybe they find some potion or something that allows him to shift, but it's also a poison. So every time he takes it its slowly chipping him away. I don't imagine him to be too affected by it until the very end though, maybe it's not even obvious but they'll be small hints that he's not feeling great. And then at the end or towards the end it kinda becomes obvious that there is no cure. I don't know if I'm going to make it a potion…or something he wears like..some enchanted metal that hangs on his neck like a pendant on a necklace.

I think initially his quest would be a bit revenge based, though I am leaning to make him want closure more then anything as they get to the end, and his anger simmers down.

Or maybe he doesn't, I haven't decided that far yet. But we can definitely link it to the clan..maybe his commander at the time told him to go steal something sacred when he was younger…she used HIM as a distraction to ambush the tribe, thus wiping most of them out? Maybe he was cursed, and bore most of the brunt of their hatred and it turned him into something.."unholy."

The idea of YC being quite tough and at the bottom of the barrel is fascinating. I suppose it could be a slow burn or enemies to lovers or just have some sprinkle of romance in there eventually.

I kind of wanted to play two main characters here, one being the commander of the royal army who's a complete BITCHHH. v_v I have a weird thirst to play some sadistic crazy lazy, that will probably create some issues for them when she realises YC, is missing perhaps? I also maybe had the plot twist that this evil lady is actually his mother towards the end..but MC doesn't know that of course. Perhaps..YC is one of the few that's pretty damn good at her job, and so MC (the mother—) doesn't see the need to influence her so to speak. I thought maybe the commander is in charge of this academy, a place where they train soldiers to be ruthless and very …brainwashed but not brainwashed.

Ramla: I like the idea of him presently getting an hour of humanness. With the shift initially leaving him exceptionally vulnerable going both ways (human to dragon and back). I actually think that would very easily explain why he's kept himself or has to keep himself in the one location. Which can be a tower, a cavernous area, whatever you think makes most sense for him.

What I was kind of thinking for how it happened, is since my characters tribal clans were recently wiped out I was kind of thinking that the present ruler or rulers were the reason for it, I haven't come up with the why yet 🤔 but figured they had some kind of power or something that the rulers wanted and wouldn't share or it scared them because they feared the tribes would rise up and over throw them (something they weren't actually going to do). Which could tie in with your crazy commander lady and the princes brother being the new leader...maybe there was some conspiracy to get his brother as king and get yours out of the way. Along those lines I was thinking maybe the tribal clans are who put the curse on your character something that happened on the battles that wiped out the clans, and so my character would maybe know something about it...but not all. This all would tie in well with your evil commander lady being the catalyst and brains behind the plan and being the one to put your character in the position of getting cursed.

And maybe for the idea of the "cure" it ends up being an amulet or potion like you said that helps him learn to control the shift? Then he could use it to his benefit, but isn't a full solution. And I am game for if it wants to translate into it having some kind of caveat to it.

As for romance...ya we can figure that out maybe once we get our character ideas fleshed out. Once she figures out he's the prince and was likely cursed by her clan then I could seenit being enemies to loversish...but we can see how that could maybe pop in organically 😁

Maybe the thing that my character's tribe had was like some kind of transformation magic 🤔 Would allow its members to transform into some kind of beast or go very metaphorical and make it be their true inner beast. Something that could have always made them a fairly formidable foe in the past....so many ideas 😁

I do think we could also maybe tie in that your commander lady is the one to hire my character for the job. No one would actually know it is the commander who is the one behind hiring people to go after you, but maybe she both knows about your character and that my character is from that tribe and she wants to just stamp out all them that are left. So in hiring my character she may be able to kill 2 birds with one stone?

Imperium: Ah yes. the fear of an overthrow xD I definitely like the idea of the commander/brother aiming to oust him from power.

The tribes having transformative magic would be cool. It would certainly tie into the curse he has..I definitely like the idea of a person taking on their "inner beast," so to speak.

The commander secretly hiring YC is chefs kiss. I imagine her being VERY cunning. Like everyone knows she's formidable and is a complete b/tch..but she has a lot of things going on behind the scenes. Maybe she also wanted MC's brother in power because he's easier to control. He lines up with her aims.

Perhaps the reason she knows about the clan is because …IF we say this evil commander is actually MC's mother maybe when she first had her child, she considered leaving MC with YC's clan.. but then saw something about their powers and decided not to…perhaps she decided to set her eyes on that instead.

So then, the commander and the brother hatch a plan to rouse YC's tribe, and essentially throw MC into the battle to take the brunt of it.. >.>

Ramla: I feel like we could also maybe expand on the idea of YC maybe being left with clan. Maybe YC does get left there at a young age, and the clan and YC was told it was for the purpose of trying to make peace or show that the kingdom did in fact trust the clan? When in reality it was your commander's way of getting information on the clan, and thats how she figured out how to best get rid of the clan. Goal could have maybe been to get the secret behind the transformative magic, but maybe that doesn't work out and instead the commander aims for getting rid of them instead and YC gets cursed in the battle? Could potentially result in some juicy emotions later on between our characters, especially if MC learns that YC was the supposed "rat" that used an action of friendship for war. Ideas..Ideas..Ideas. I am pretty game for going with what you like best for YC & commander's back story and how it may tie in with the tribal clan.

Imperium: As for leaving MC with the clan…maybe he stayed there on and off during his first few years as a show of trust. He would still be the prince of the kingdom so I can't imagine he would have been left there too much. But, we could go with it being a way to show peace. Perhaps the
commander lingered around long enough to notice that the clan has these powers. So we can go with that idea yeah xD The commander and the brother decide…well..if they can't control him they might as well find a way to get rid of him anyways. The commander and brother are stuck in a bit of an impasse because they want to get rid of him, but they can't just blatantly kill him. So the war could have also been a way to purposefully endanger the Prince..I assume after he gets cursed they all assume he's dead. So at the end when he seeks his revenge she'll be like "what the fuck!" xD but in her own words.

So they start a war, send their army to descend upon the clan…he gets caught up in it..cursed somehow, and then….we're back to present day..

The only detail I'd want to iron out is HOW he actually gets cursed. Does some shaman on the last seconds of her death mutter some curse at some solider that he accidentally runs infront of? Orrr is it some spell that's meant to hurt the commander and her children —but since no one knows WHO her child is it goes straight to the Prince? Orr well..anything that makes him cursed xD

She sounds well thought out, I like the idea of the commander ruling with quite a tight iron fist. She's gonna be a complete bitch, so the mention of anything to do with clans and stuff would be like ..treason in her mind. Therefore people going missing…the hesitancy to talk about clans or anything like that (including accusing YC) would lead to an arrest xD

Ramla: As for the details of cursing him...I am thinking that it would be one of the shamans that would have placed it on him during the battle. Thinking maybe it was a last ditch effort on the Shaman's part, knowing that they were going to loose the battle, to exact some type of consequence or something for the Prince essentially betraying the tribe like that. Maybe in the time that he spent there the Shaman also recognized that YC wasn't a totally terrible person and thought there was something a little off on him leading the war on them?

Imperium:
So I had a thought about the war story a little. I'm thinking Sateel was sent in to steal something by Hera and Oris (like we said)—but this was all kept under wraps. Like a secret plan that only the 4 of them knew about.

I say 4 because I'm going to introduce another character that is based more with Jordaine.

Hera then decided to invade without the fourth persons knowledge—which made all the shamans and the entire clan take up defence.

In the ruckus the shaman who cursed sateel obviously thought he was there fighting or what not, I'm thinking ..to iron out the details

THAT maybe the curse was so powerful that it made him faint. Hera stumbles upon his body, and with a few soldiers as witnesses declares him dead. Much to their pleasure.

This then leads up to WHY Hera now has so much legitamcy to create entire laws against the Fakari.

I'm thinking she might have done something crazy like thrown him into the sea or something.

Maybe as the soldiers depart the chaotic warzone she sees his fingers twitch. Horrified that sateel might expose her she rolls him off the hill or something and into the sea.

When Oris asks for where the body is and if his brother is truly dead, she decides to substitute Sateels body for another burnt up soldier and show him. Hes been burnt alive so it's hard to decipher the details. He believes her, and continues to believe her until sateel eventually makes his reappearance towards the end. By which point Hera is furious. And Oris is furious at Hera.

Ramla:
And having Sateel being sent in to steal something would be a great connector in the plot I think and even tie in with the motives behind why Hera went after the tribes. With that in mind I was kind of thinking that maybe the thing he goes into steal is the actual thing that holds the transformation magic needed for Farkari members to go through the ritual to discover their inner beast and be able to transform into it. I'm thinking this could be like a cool stone/figure/talisman kind of thing.

Another idea I had on top of that, is what if in the chaos of the battle and him getting cursed by a shaman he looses said thing? And to add on top of that, could throw in some real deep shaman abilities and while Sateel had spent time with the tribes "garnering peace" the shaman that cursed him realized maybe he wasn't totally bad, and the curse is actually that they hid the thing inside of Sateel to protect it?

Imperium: Having something in him could maybe explain why he's like...consistently getting sick. He's already cursed and now has these abilities that would make him a bit stronger then the usual guy, being a dragon and all-- and then when you combine that, with the energy he expands having to transform every night-- PLUS having the fakari talisman thing inside him-- no wonder his body is just like, 'hell no,' and is (or will) begin to make him sick.

Imperium:
I figured that they (Hera, Oris lot) will probably have some Fakari prisoners. I mentioned a girl the daughter of a random ex-leader in my last post. I was planning on playing her, but there's another character that I thought you could maybe play since he might be interesting later on.

So out of the prisoners that they have captured there is one girl..the daughter of an ex-leader..of course, she will refuse outright to help Hera and be prisoned yada yada..

I thought she might have a younger brother. Who actually decides to help Hera learn a little more about their ways of fighting etc; so later on when Sateel and Thea show up she may have some trick up her sleeve. Something that thea could be like, 'How the heck did you learn that?'

and then low and behold..the brother of the girl steps out behind her. I haven't decided if it's going to be magic-related really, or just something combat-related. No idea. But i thought I'd put the idea to you lmao.

I think I kinda want it thea to feel somewhat betrayed when she sees who the brother is. Maybe she doesn't know the girl, because she's older, but the younger brother is a very similar age to Thea?

Ramla: I do like the idea of Thea and the brother being close friends. Either they could be from the same village or a different one from Thea, but whenever they visited each other Thea and the brother would play together? Older sister was maybe old enough where she had other responsibilities and so never got close to Thea, but they knew of each other.
Ian Lukas[/i]
Was wondering if maybe Ian and his sister would be the children of the head leader (The Elder) of all the Fakari clans. So each smaller clans have their own main leaders (The Shaman & Warrior Commander), but at the head of all the Fakari is one ultimate leader known as the Elder. Ian's sister is intended to be the next Elder of the Fakari, something that Ian is a-ok with, she fits the mold for it much more than he does. But this is also why they maybe travel around to different clans and train with the different shamans and warrior commanders. And when traveling this is how Ian and Thea become friends, kind of thinking that essentially Ian isn't so great at the combat training, but excels in the shaman trainings, and Thea is the opposite, so they kind of become friends due to Thea not being a bully to Ian and helping him get better at combat training and in return Ian offers to help Thea get better at the shaman stuff.

Also depending on how much older Ian's sister is, there is a fair chance that she may have gone through the rite and has access/connection with her inner beast and can call on it for it's strength and abilities.

Am also debating on if Ian would maybe get a little bent out of shape about an outsider (Sateel) being allowed in to learn more about the Fakari. He likely would be very suspicious of Sateel, and potentially be a little jealous if he was getting special knowledge that is more reserved for I guess the "inner circle" of the Fakari clans.

Imperium: I can imagine Ian's sister being very strict with things whereas Ian is less worked up about things because he's not meant to be the next elder. But he has a bit of simmering dislike for his sister since she's always telling him off about things or doesn't understand how he can't pick things up. And maybe Ian's has a jealous streak which is what could lead to him silently becoming friends with Hera? Like the whole betrayal thing that happens later.

Where I am at now with it is she was born into a tribal clan that I figure lived on the general outskirts of the rest of the kingdom. They had been able to maintain a rough peace with the kingdom and maintain their independence. For the most part they really weren't much different from those who chose to live within the kingdom walls or bounds. The main difference being that they lived a bit more nomadically and relied a bit more on the wilderness, but not that much more. However, they were fairly well known for being exceptionally capable warriors and most everyone knew there was some bit of magic that ran through the clan, but people didn't know the full story/extent of it. I do like the idea of the transformative magic turning them into their inner beast, I think that gives some cool folklore/mysticalness to the story, so I'm game for going with that ☺️ I was also imagining that the transformative magic was some sort of spell that the shaman of the clans would place on people of the clan sort of a coming of age thing...Maybe for those born into the clan they hold the ability to transform within them, and the spell/ritual activates it, while anyone who is outside of the clan it would just result in a curse or it would go wrong 🤔 But anyways, the destruction of her clan happened before she was ever able to go through the ritual, so she doesn't have the ability to change. I am thinking maybe she was between the ages of 15-17 when this happened. Young enough that she didn't go through the ritual and she would still be somewhat young to be forced into the world on her own (cause ya know, gotta add that trauma into the backstory 😝), but old enough to have a good knowledge of her tribe's history, traditions, and have been warrior trained to be able to fight and defend herself. And those skills are how she is now able to make a living. Now she operates as a mercenary, selling her skills for money, and she happens to be really good at it. I'm thinking some people maybe have suspicions that she is from THE tribal clan, but no one will actually affirm it or say it out loud, because first she is really good at her job and people like hiring her, and second she is a bit intimidating and semi-scary because of her skill, and claiming someone is from THE tribal clan can result in their arrest/death. (This could be something orchestrated/organized by your commander lady) But she has a somewhat rash personality, likely a bit of an adrenaline junky, enjoys the fighting a bit too much. And so she does indulge in gambling, alcohol, bar fights, etc. I'm figuring that at the start of the rp, she has been feeling exceptionally alone & down trodden about her past and the loss of her clan and just the way life is going in general. I figure that she is not the only one that has survived the massacre, and those that have survived do keep in touch every so often. (I figure some get togethers happen and honoring of past traditions happen, this is when she would be wearing tribal regalia maybe) But maybe lately more and more of the survivors have been found out & killed or gone missing. Motivations I'm thinking for taking the highly dangerous jobs, is some debts (likely from gambling and bar tabs), it's an enticing job, and dangerous, but also high paying that could maybe help her pay off her debts and consider moving on to somewhere else. I'm thinking that maybe she stuck around the area because she lost everything at young age, so had limited resources to go anywhere and also had a desire to see if revenge or retribution could have been sought. But with the continued loss of her people it is feeling more and more impossible. Right now I am also thinking she is in the age range of like 23-27, was going to see what you were thinking for your character and go with that.

Ramla: But was thinking about the special abilities of the Fakari/their magic, since I don't believe we fully finalized that part. The idea that I came up with was that the Fakari had somekind of artifact that would allow them to connect with their "inner beast" through a ritual. This information was held by the Elder of the clans, which was essentially their like head spiritual and wisdom person. Fakari would spend their younger years training with their individual clan's shaman and warrior commander to learn the Fakari ways and history and how to fight, essentially learn how to be the best version of themselves and understand their strength's and weaknesses so when they go through the ritual they can face and join with their inner beast. The inner beast would be like the animal that most symbolically resembles their true self and once they go through the ritual and join with it, they essentially are able to access some of the strengths/abilities that animal or their inner beast would have and that is largely why the Fakari are such a formidable/ferocious fighters. People would be able to do the ritual when they came of age (18 years). Maybe the super skilled ultimate Fakari peeps could turn into their Inner beast.
Also also also...idea for what we need to find for Sateel to not be sick/cursed. Was going back through our messages to remind myself of all of our ideas. So I think we discussed a bit of maybe Sateel actually has the amulet/talisman thing that Fakari would need/use to go through the rite to release and be able to access their inner beast after the Rite, something a Shaman or The Elder did because they could tell that Sateel didn't actually suck and so were making a good faith effort. However, Satell never went through training and didn't technically complete the full Rite and because of this the amulet/talisman is making him sick or is resulting in him not having full control over his inner beast, which is the dragon form.

And to fix him they have the idea of trying to have Sateel go through or do the other part of the ritual, which is drinking a specific potion or something, I'm thinking Black Panther like XD, where they drink the potion and then complete like a spiritual test and that determines if they complete the Rite or not. This would require Thea figuring out that Sateel was the "exchange student" or at the very least was there at the last battle of the Fakari and learning that something happened between Sateel & The Elder (or whoever hid the talisman in him). Which I'm thinking that Thea has never seen Sateel before and has no idea his connection to Daicathalon. She might find it odd that he may be a Fakari, just due to his hair color, but the Fakari definitely weren't entirely against taking in strays.

So the only person(s) that Thea know who would reliably know how to complete the rite for him with the potion is Ian and his sister, so then Thea takes Sateel to seek them out and complete the rite. There are a few holes to the idea, like I guess Thea would know that Sateel may be suffering from a partially completed Rite? Or maybe to her it just appears that Sateel is suffering from some kind of quarrel with his inner beast and controlling it and tries to teach him some of the Fakari methods to control it, but none of them work? So then she would try and seek Ian out to see if he has any ideas and thats when she realizes his betrayal? Maybe Ian could even have an inkling that Sateel might have the talisman, since he was very skilled in shaman training?

Ramla: Do you think that it would make more sense for your commander to have found someway to almost inactivate the magic of the Clans warriors that made them stronger and ferocious in battle or was it more from just sheer numbers and strategic planning that resulted in them being wiped out? Could have simply started with targeting the shamans, and then all out siege on them in large numbers. I could see either working, but wasn't sure what you would maybe want for your commander

Imperium: Love her! I'm thinking to let the tribes keep their magic intact and boil it more down to strategy and expertise in warfare as opposed to that, only because if the commander found a way to nullify their transformation magic or any spells that are related to that then how did MC get the curse? >.> and also maybe it could be something that the commander is working on currently? Might give her something else to do other then be a bitch xD

Imperium:
Scene 1: Sateel and Thea sneak into Hera's academy. I figured it could be interesting, maybe they need to know what plans she has for the Fakari and those leaders that she captures. Maybe they have to escape later on though coz some type of trouble unfolds or someone sees through their disguise or whatever.

I also figured they would need some outside help so maybe as they're travelling they end up stepping onto Jordanian lands, and end up ambushed in a forest? Perhaps, in exchange for knowledge, the current leader makes them sneak into the academy for information (since they're trying to actively overthrow Hera.)

Scene 3? On the hunt to find the amulet that helps Sateel stop shifting (or helps his health or whatnot), they end up traversing these underground tunnels, that lead to these ancient tombs. And there's a fight there with some blades that seem to be searching for the same thing. This could link back to the idea that behind the scenes Hera is developing technology or some type of barrier to the old clan's magic which renders their attacks useless. This is why her soldiers are being sent into seemingly dangerous areas...

(cue Aamir realising why he was sent to the tower--they wanted to check if it was empty or not and how easy it would be to navigate--A.k.a... Hera didn't want to lose extra men so sent them two.

So I had a little idea about Aamir. I was thinking maybe when Hera takes all those Fakari prisoners there's a girl in the group that he gets close with?

Maybe she ends up being a slave to Hera herself but is actually listening in on a lot of what the commander is doing. Potentially with the intention to report it back to one of the fakari leaders, the girl for example?

OR maybe she reports it to the guy? (Thinking he's all good but he rats her out-) And he tells Aamir to sort her out. A.k.a give her a telling off. But maybe Aamir has a weird soft spot for her so he doesn't?

Name Hera Kayric.

Rank: Commander of the royal army. The kingdom's most renowned and feared society. She produces the sharpest of soldiers. "Blades" are feared throughout the entire kingdom. They're not ordinary warriors and have been honed and forged by a strict regime that Hera herself procured. There is no room for disobedience in her academy's, and she is not easily stomached. Her soldiers are ruthless and can slice through their enemies like hot butter.

Personality: Most fear Hera, and for all good reasons. She is cold cut and rules the academy and her men with an iron fist. Many fear igniting her wrath, and the academy is kept well guarded and under heavy, constant security. It's as hard to break into as it is to break out. Hera has been influential in the development of coercive torture and is always resourceful. She is a master of many methods and will break you down in a matter of minutes. Pain is not a novelty to her.

Appearance: Kayric has a stern expression, dark green eyes and a lean but muscular physique. Her blonde hair is often pulled into a tight knot at the back of her head.

Extra: Extremely well versed in all forms of combat.

Name: Sateel Arlae.

Rank: True King of The Kingdom of Daicathlon.

History: During the battle of steel, in the gran year of 1766, Sateel, only 19 was pitched into the heat of battle against the old reigning clans of the south. Coerced by his younger brother, and commander, war descended onto the nomadic clans. The prince was set to rule the throne once he became of age and has learnt the politics required for someone of his stature. In the few years of his life, Daicathlon had attempted to bridge peace with the southern clans. As their prince, he became acquainted with some of their shamans and prominent leaders, building a rapport that was soon crushed when Hera nosed out their hidden powers. The crux of what made these clan's so strong. Seeking power, she presented falsified reports and records of their treachery and urged the prince to wipe them out once and for all. Indeed, it was the commander, that had wrapped Sateel's younger brother, Oris, around her finger. They conspired to oust him from power, as he was far harder for Hera to control. At an impasse, they agreed to throw him into the heat of the battle and allowed the prince to take the brunt of the fall for their actions.

Amidst the fighting, an extraordinary spell was cast upon the prince, thus rendering him into a beast. He was forced to isolate himself in the Tower of Rigae, where a fearsome dragon is rumoured to exist... its anger unquenchable...many warriors have attempted to scale it's fiery walls, past the bridge that rackets beneath a chasm so deep, that to fall or slip would be complete death..

Yet at night...every hour that strikes midnight..something else transpires within the towering stone walls..

Personality: Stubborn, intelligent, courageous, sharp, rash with a newfound vengeful streak. Deep down, however..Sateel feels like a lost soul, constantly traipsing through his life and watching the ages chip his energy away. He is extremely loyal to the old houses of Jordaine, and those that prove themselves to him.

The now-deceased Levia, old queen of Daicathlon, was the daughter of the house of Jordaine. Their power was once infinite, yet with the strength of the commander growing, their men have become stuck on whose wrath is worse. The sharp edge of Hera? Or the ancient fury of Jordaine? Some..have joined her forces unwillingly. Still, none can argue the silver swift mercenaries of Jordaine are extremely proficient in strategies of war and were once host to the kingdom's best assassins. Ex-Venetian military that have been sacked from power because of Hera have also joined forces with Jordaine, boosting their capabilities. Yet still, Hera cracks down on them with the force of her army every day.

Appearance: Sateel has thick platinum hair that sits just above the nape of his neck. Often it is wavy, other times unruly. His skin is fair, yet marred from the constant stream of sun that pierces the tower of Rigae. His eyes are sharp, dark grey, rumoured to rival the glinting steel of Daicathlon swords. He is not overly muscled, yet has maintained his warrior's physique. With so much time on his hands, there are few crevices of the tower he has not explored...

Note: Has a specific tattoo that wraps around his spine, peeking through the vest of clothes.

His theme:

Current politics: [Admin note.]

Oris is the current ruler of Daicathlon. A puppet to the commander.

Hera's influence grows every day. She rules with an iron fist, arresting anyone who dares to speak of rebellion, or the old clans themselves.

One powerful house supports Hera. They own a vast amount of land in the north. The Venetians.

Two other houses do not support her. The Kankerons, and The house of Jordaine. Hera is intending to wipe them out when she has the power, or force their hand.

The prince has been assumed dead for the past 8 years.

Old tribal meetings still take place. They are kept under wraps and extremely secretive.

[So, I thought of adding some politics that could give our characters something to do later down the line. Maybe they could also attempt to appeal to these old houses to seek help against the commander later on. When she goes batshit crazy xD I've essentially made up some names for fillers. The name of the kingdom, the name of the tower he is in..his 'mother', etc etc;]

Random Character Details

Dragon form = all black dragon that's quite muscular but still very streamlined (fairly large) with narrow blue eyes, that when angered they flicker red. I think his eye are basically the main and only real colour on him. In the dark they glow a little similar to a cat. As for his scales, I imagine they're probably a little iridescent. Silver claws. But mainly all black. Aamir is around 6ft so on his back legs sateels dragon would be around 5x that size. I think his wingspan is the wider part of him. So if he's rising up he's very tall. But not like …5 story house size

These are some of the inspo pics I have for Jordanians and Venetians. There are also the other houses, if you want to tweak these, or brainstorm some outfits, weapons, or anything about them I wouldn't mind at all! The Kankorans I'm thinking are more water-based. so they have a navy. that's their thing, naval power lmao.

JORDANIANS:

Area/Territory:
Dessert area. Or deep deep underground. Wouldn't really see them on the mainland unless they're going through towns, villages, etc;.

(^ I especially liked this picture because it kind of shows the chaotic nature of their training or combat. The guy in the air, or jumping, or whatever he's doing made me chuckle.)

^I figured since they had a noble (Lydia) that became queen of daicathlon at some point, her family left behind some old abandoned ruins. Maybe Sateel and Thea go there at some point.

Jordanian armour, combat and weaponry.

They're very assassin-rogue-like in combat. So they do a lot of things with traps, smoke, and anything that will essentially disorientate their enemies before they get in close. Anything that is drawn out and long-range is probably not their speciality. They like to overwhelm/ambush/swarm-- get in quick, and cut people down just as fast.

So in traditional Jordanian style, I figured their go-to weapons would be things like whip-blades. Double daggers, double-bladed swords. Daggers. Nothing super heavy like an axe, or heavy shields. But more speedy weapons.

And likewise with their armour, because they're known for their assassins I assume it would be light chainmail. Breastplates, or armour woven in with the fabric of their clothing. Easy to move around.. still durable but most of all it's quiet. You won't really know they're there until they hit you.

I know white is so impractical but Idk why I liked it so much xD Esp the mask. Plus I figured in hotter climates white is cooling, plus it probably blends in better in the desert (sand) than black. v.v I deffo like the idea of giving them some weird traits to their armour/costumes to make them more intimidating. Especially the hood, and blades coming out of the mask. But I'll share it anywho xD

I saw this and thought it was cool. Maybe once their soldiers become adults or whatnot the Jordanians get given a necklace. So it's a necklace, but has a hidden throwing knife in it.

VENETIANS:

Area: The Capital of Daicathlon. The Main Cities. etc;

They're uber-rich. Live in the capital. Living life. Loving life.

Their style is like the opposite of Jordaine. So I imagine they have more tank-like soldiers. They carry heavy armour and can withstand a lot of damage before they fall down. I'm thinking heavy chainmail, shields, axes. However they move slower with all the extra padding..so that's their disadvantage. They're also not known for being quiet. So you'll hear them before you see them. The style of their outfits is very much Roman-style, knight. They use a lot of cavalry. They do a lot of lancing. Think of them as...the capital's guard. The kingdom's public army, (while the blades are the kingdom's private one.)

ARMOUR:

I figured their armour would have fancy inscriptions on it. Red and Silver seem like a safe bet. Maybe a red cape to match the vibe of the capital?

WEAPONS:

Big oval shields with a big fat spike protruding out of it. This makes frontal attacks difficult if they're carrying around one of these bad boys. But if they are..it also puts them on defence.

Big long swords. Like, think of the heaviest thing you can imagine.
Battle axes. Normal long swords. Stuff like that.

Map Notes
Ramla:
And yes a map would be so smart...the main thing I can remember is that I had the Fakari primarily to the south I believe, and their territory has slowly been shrinking over the years. Pretty much due to as civilization grows the wilds that the Fakari had claimed became a bit more manageable is what I was thinking. But kind of envisioned them existing in some type of forest..maybe their territory would be within a southern mountain range? Something that would have pockets of habitable wilderness, but makes it difficult to access easily?

I feel like Daicathalon would have to be some level of port town on the coast, thinking maybe that would contribute to it's large wealth and success.

I could also see the Fakari and the Jordanians being friendly neutral parties with each other. Maybe they don't interact often with each other, but both thrive within a wild, somewhat harsh environment and seem like they might hold similar values, so would have a level of mutual respect towards each other.
