Hi! I am Crenna (she/her) and I am looking forward to getting back into written role play. I have created a world with a friend and done group role play through a Muck server back in college. However, those were short form, rapid RP based, so this will be my first long form RP style. Though I haven't done formal RP in awhile, I have been doing some solo writing (Does it count as writing if it only exists in my head?) and creating several personal OCs. I have a bad habit of not writing my stories out so unfortunately I do not have writing samples to share, but if you are interested in my OCs, let me know cause I can talk about them at length.
For settings, I tend to gravitate to AUs and original worlds that borrow from different mediums. For example, I have a WIP about a OC werewolf (based on Teen Wolf werewolves) and her vampire partner (based on Castlevania vampires) running around a world based on Camelot from Merlin. I like crafting the world to the story and not looking for hyper realistic. (you want to throw a dragon in a modern setting? Lets figure out how that works and do it.) I do tend to write main women characters however, I can multi-play various characters at once. For example, the world I built with my friend started out with my character and their character and we ended up with 20 characters among us by the end. I love new character ideas and am always happy to create another character to drive the narrative along. However, I do like focus on one or two main characters at a time. I am queer so most of my characters will be queer.
In terms of content, violence does not bother me as long as it drives the plot and isn't gory. I also do not want to focus on the violence for violence sake. For example, we need a mercenary group to attack a village? Sure. I don't want to role play the actual attacking (unless our characters can stop it before people die). I am okay with character death, traumatic events, and some angst. However, I also love happy endings, found family, and just characters being silly little goofs. In terms of romance, I am open to it however I don't want it to be the main focus. Our characters go on a quest together and fall in love? Great. Our characters turn out to be best friends but there is not spark between them? Great. In terms of actual smut, I am a bit rusty but open to some. A few things I will not do is bodily fluids, incest, or SA. (References to SA/backgrounds including SA are fine, I just don't want to role play it.)
I work from home so I do have a bit of a flexible schedule however I also will sometimes work 60+ hours so some responses may be delayed. I am very communicative and will let my partner know as soon as I can if the response is delayed. I also am open to OOC convos about world building, coming up with character/plot ideas, and making it a very collaborative experience.
In terms of a partner, I just want someone who wants to have fun character creating, world building, and explore our ideas as they come to us. I do ask that you be up front with any topics you may or may not want to explore so we can be on the same page. I want us to just have fun and be okay if something isn't working, not to force it but try something else. Sometimes, plans sound good but when you actually start role playing, you realize it is not working.
Lastly, I hate AI with a passion. I will never use it for anything, not even minor tweaks. All errors will be human.
