"The robert the red? no, no you got me wrong there!"
With a laugh and disarming smile I'll sit down at your table,
pushing aside a few lonely tankards makeing room for my sweet violin. "She is a lady so please don't call her a fiddle." I remind you jokeingly.
As I say that I wink and as our eyes meet I already have that silver Bullion scooped up. Yes the one you didn't want me to have right away, mockingly it spins in the air.
"The name is Dance, such a pleasure to meet you."
Behind me new entertainers stumble upon the stage, a wizard with his assistant perhaps.
"Will and Sam, they juggle better then one would expect." I let you know with a short look back over my shoulder.
So no wizards really, maybe you are disappointed at that.
I take sip from one of the cups and grimace at the taste or perhaps your questions really.
"...ah yes offcourse you'd notice the accent. yes your right I am not from around…. where from? oh I am not really so sure myself and you propably would never have heared from the place to begin with… yes... yes I did come by ship…. but why would you..?"
Sally with those hips that roll like the waves of the sea is there with food and drink and quick as that the silver changes hands and is gone.
She whispers somthing into my ear and she and I share a moment you don't quiet catch the meaning of but it gives you time for that next question.
"How I became… no please." I take a exasperated breath. "I do not know who is spreading these rumors and surely robert is a dashing fellow but do I really look like a pirate to you? What would the guards do to me if they heard such talk? Please, I am just Dance a musican seeking to entertain his friends. Think of my poor wife and children."
Sally never says a word but somehow I still turn to her and insist.
"They are real!"
Her eyes twinkle with mocking delight.
I turn back to you and offer a small bow to you.
"My apologies I have been far to negligent for such a generous patron." the smell of sweet wine fills the air as the ruby liquid flows into your cup and then mine.
I raise my own toasting to you.
"I happen to hail from the Kingdom of Württemberg, a not so old country as one might think. though offcourse the King likes to pretend. It is so far from the sea that there is a place where on the side of a mountain all rivers flow north while on the other side all seek their way to east and never meet again. Think of deep forrests, mountains, hills and white blossoming appletrees.
It is a land of simple people who are gruff at times yet friendly in their own way, a good place to call home, but home is not for everyone. I? I just wanted to .. "
the loud unmistakeable bark of a musket is heard outside, the sound of heavy boots on wooden floors…
"...leave really quickly, goodbye my friend!" I say and somehow manage to be already three steps away as the door to hall is flung open and the guards of the governor clad in their unmistakable blue coats are rushing through…
if you have read till here I do hope you enjoyed my little introduction.
I just felt like doing it a little different.
Am I a musician? Yes I am though offcourse I also do many other things as well.
Is the Kingdom of Württemberg a real place? Yes it is and it was a kingdom created by Napoleon Bonaparte. It existed roughly a hundred years from 1806 till 1918.
am I really married? Yes … though I do believe I need to have a stern talk with sally.
Is the story about the mountain true?
Yes it is. On one side the rivers all flow into the Rhein and thus north into the atlantic, while
on the other they flow into the Danube which runs east into the black sea.
What kind of experience do I have with roleplay and writing?
Well as a far to quick bookreader I started of roleplaying at 10.
Quickly became the story teller for my group and then went on to writing and never really stopped with that.
Is Dance truely a pirate? No stop it!
Is that a lie? Perhaps but can you really trust my answer on that question?
