You see, it's actually a complicated observation on the false, unattainable, and even unhealthy expectations we're handed by modern culture with regard to relationships. Vis-a-vis, many roses are, in fact, NOT red, and many dildos are, indeed, NOT vibrantly coloured. In a similar fashion, we are led to believe that relationships between romantic partners MUST be a ... shall we say judeo-christian-patriarchy-centric dichotomy of man vs woman pertaining to that which is strong vs that which is weak, or that which is hard vs that which is soft, that which decides vs that which accommodates or enables, while at the same time using the appropriate connotation to convey the harmful nature of these psycho-sexual stereotypes ...
