Here.Hello! In which thread do I post a character pending approval? I must have overlooked it somewhere....
Character sheets are not "known information to everyone", they are a clarification (largely for rules and setting based information). These can be vague within reason, but as an example, if you leave "race" as "unknown" that unknown cannot later be "dragon/god/vampire". It can be something nondescript and basic (human or half-elf, for example). Otherwise, that's generally fine.can we leave the race of the character vague, if we want it to be revealed later, or it being a mystery ? as in the character having a human appearance, but not necessarily being human. also, does the race have to be an existing one, or can we take creative liberties ? without creating gods, or races that are overpowered and would break the rules of course.
The Outer Sanctum is it's own place and does not exist concurrent to other worlds. Only original characters are permitted and those characters are subject to approval.Another question related to the above.
Can I bring that character of mine into the roleplay while having the same backstory that I made for him? I want to portray him as if he was "Isekaied" into the Outer Sanctum world. Is that okay as long as I keep his real backstory a mystery most of the time? Or all of the time?
Thank you.
What you are describing is well beyond what most people in the setting ever achieve in their lives. As a general guide, a "level 1 D&D character" would be a good estimation of roughly where you would be in terms of power levels. This is to say, "probably slightly better than a completely normal person" but still with everything ahead of them.Hello.
I have an unfinished character creation that is outside of the Outer Sanctum. I am not sure if I made him too powerful to fit into this setting. What are my boundaries?
I designed him in a way where his physical condition and combat skills are already at the max from the beginning by the standards of real life athletics and real life combat sports (boxing, MMA, kendo, et cetera). On top of that, I gave him powerful tools for success. His weapons and armor are as standard as can be, but his alchemy makes him a little over-powered by "beginner adventurer" standards. I am afraid he might not even be approved.
But can he?
Thank you.
