Name: Brielle Roux
Age: 22
Birthplace: Paris, France
Birthday: August 19th
Sexuality: Heterosexual, divorced
Occupation: Indentured Servant
Appearance: Standing at 5’5, Brielle is a petite woman. She’s underweight, her cheeks sometimes appearing hollow from lack of meals as punishment at her job. Pale skin, some have called her a walking porcelain doll due to her bright coloring. Brielle had long, red, wavy hair that went to her lower back, and her eyes had a strange coloring (central heterochromia) with the center of them being an amber color that fades into icy blues. She is often seen wearing a maid’s outfit or tattered, hand-me-down dresses that seem too big on her. Her wrists and arms are littered with scars from past abuse and current punishments from her employer.
Personality:
Positive Traits: Caring, loving, protective, she tries her hardest to look at the brighter side of things, enjoys seeing and trying new things, eager to learn, strives to work hard so she can afford a better life for herself and her little sisters, has a deep love of nature, wants to one day be a mother and possibly a teacher, enjoys traveling and seeing new places, loves listening to others talk rather than talking herself.
Negative: Skittish, suffers from a mild form of PTSD thanks to her parents and ex-husband, has anxiety, can be cynical of others, stubborn at times, thinks she knows more than she does in certain situations, hates to be put on the spot, pushes people away at times, has little to no self-worth, self-conscious, stays silent more than she talks, rarely breaks her walls down for anyone.
Brief Backstory: Brielle is the 7th of 10 children to be born to her parents, the first girl. She has 6 older brothers, only one of whom she's close to. Being the first girl, her mother was delighted (for a time), while her father was displeased. She was a curious little girl when she was younger, often finding herself getting into situations that got her hurt if her elder brother, Aristide, wasn't at her side. Because of this, her father often whipped her, especially if she brought too much attention to their small farm. Her mother turned a blind eye to this, even going as far as to ignore the man if he started to make lewd comments towards Brielle. If it had not been for Aristide, Brielle knows her father would have taken her innocence from her.
After her came three more daughters, and Brielle took it upon herself to raise them, even if she was just a child herself. This way, their father would have no reason to attempt anything towards them. Because there were so many children, the family struggled to feed them all, often going hungry most nights and stunting the growth of the youngest children, Brielle included. When Brielle was old enough, she helped at a local bakery with deliveries to earn a little bit of money and extra bread to feed her sisters.
At 18, a middle-aged tailor asked for her hand in marriage. Her father eagerly agreed while Brielle protested heavily. The next 3 years would be utter hell for her. She would be beaten, raped, and treated as if she were a slave to her husband. At 21, she suffered a miscarriage, and something in her snapped, causing her to attack her husband. The police had found the man barely alive the next morning and arrested Brielle. She was sent to London to be a servant to a duchess as a way to serve out what would have been prison time.
Now, she works nonstop so that she can afford to go back for her little sisters, who are under the care of her elder brother, Aristide.
