Hi all! I'm looking to put together a High Fantasy Crime Syndicate for races of any kind. The group would be involved in all kinds of criminal enterprises and hopefully have plenty of adventures together. Possible positions in the crime syndicate would include:

Crime Bosses
Assassins
Thieves
Smugglers
Hired Muscle
Bounty Hunters
Prostitutes
Healers
Slaves
Enemies (for example, guards looking to arrest the criminals or members of a rival organisation)

My hope is to get a rather large group of characters in a high fantasy setting who roleplay with each other on a regular basis, both in large groups, small groups and 1 x 1. While romance between members of the crime syndicate would be great (and hopefully will form naturally over time), adventure based games would be the primary focus.
 
This sounds like fun!! I have a few OCs that I can choose from that will fit right into this. ^_~
 
He is an elven dark mage thief. Wow that was kinda a mouthful! XD lol Or I was thinking about my assassin that is slightly crazy, he thinks he is human but he is a dwarf/high elf hafling.
 
Both sound awesome! Could always use both. I have quite a few characters in mind depending on what situations they're in and what jobs need doing. :)
 
I might just do that as....it is so hard to chose! lol
 
Do you have character sheets for them? So far I've only made one for my thief character, but I'm also working on ones for a crime lord and prostitute. :)

Name: Zanetrix Blackfellow, goes by Zane
Age: 71
Weight: 150
Height: 5ft 7in
Race: Elf
Class: Dark/Evil Mage
Bio: Zane is the son in a long line of Blackfellow mages, the 123rd generation. Forever has his family been nought but evil magic users out for their own gain. Though his race of elf are the ones that stand at no taller than five feet seven inches, unlike their cousins who stand at six feet and over.
Zane goes about ambushing travelers and stealing from them and killing adventurers and stealing all that they have. Zane is a powerful mage and often uses a red crystal as a weapon, though he also makes special potions and has special needles on his leg that contain said potions. He even has a special container full of pure hatred and malice that he taps into from time to time when he is feeling drained or trying to do extra hard spells and needs a boost in power. His elven age puts him to be about 20 even though he is well over 60 in human years. This influences his emotions and personality, that and being from a well off, well to do family whose name is known by many.

Name: Altraz Crux
Age: 36
Height: 5ft 9in
Weight: 178
Race: human....high elf/dwarf
Class: Swordsman/ assassin
Bio: Altraz was raised in a bandit clan when he was kidnapped at the age of 7. He was meant to be a hostage but his family never paid the ransom so they kept the boy to use as a slave though in the end the boy became useful in other ways. Trained as a thief he also learned the sword and became really good with a blade. Though the current head of the an assassin clan in came and took out all the bandits and made Altraz become part of the clan as to use his skills to better the clan. So just like that Altraz was taken from his life of thieving to one of murder. Altraz lost his eye thanks to the leader of the clan when he was taken in at the age of 15, it was meant to show the youth just how serious the leader was. But instead it pissed him off and he killed the man in his sleep then ran away a few years later.
Altraz has no idea what he is and just says he is human as he no longer remembered his parents. While he looks like a human he is not. His height is thanks to his dwarf half along with his human like ears and like a dwarf he LOVES to drink and eat! The breed of elf he is, half anyway, normally stand at 6ft and taller, which is why he is not short like a dwarf. Even though he is 36 he still looks like he is 18 and will age very slowly. So all in all thanks to both sides he looks just like a normal human only he ages slow and has perks from both Hight Elves and Dwarves.

Race: Elf (Drow), though due to the forces he deals with, something is a little off.
Class: Hexblade Warlock with a little bit of Aberrant Mind Sorcerer
Occupation: Nobleman, Assassin, Traveler
Bio: Vorntrin Hun'iryn Davenmour is the third eldest son of the Davenmour line. The ruling family of the Whispering Cove. His father the Marquess of the small region which is technically called "Cruyl Strua." As per tradition, his oldest brother is in-line as heir, with his older brother enlisted in their local military. Vorntrin Hun'iryn was pushed towards joining a religious order. The prominent religion in the Order of Plojeqir. A religion centred around the stars and their power. Through his devotion, he was placed into the church's own private military division. The Legion of the Edge. He was charged with the protection of the Church's most prized possession. The Khodash. A rapier said to be forged in the heart of a star. During his duties, he fell in love with maid. One of the girls who helped with the upkeep of the temple. He fell deeply in love with the with the human woman. Sadly, it did not work out. He was only 245 at the time, and she grew old and died of natural causes, while he was still relatively young. It was this that brought him to try and use the magic of the Khodash to prolong his love's life. Young, naive. He could not save her, and bound the Khodash to his soul. He was cast out of the church, he sought out a place to work, and aligned himself with the Yiannellaith, where his prowess in both sword play and magic elevated him to Esteemed Duelist. He has since walked away from that life, without technically resigning.

Am curious, what positions in the Crime Syndicate would people be looking for? Specifically, would you be interested in positions of power, or subordinates under a leader?

Either one is fine, but a reasonably high position that would be involved in the politics is interesting to me, maybe assasin?

I think serving under a leader sounds good to me.
