@selcouth Would like to reserve the faceclaim Deva Cassel. Also would like to reserve The Sight (The ability to see glimpses of the past via touching an object and the ability to see glimpses of events yet to be)

She would have absolutely no control over the when, where, how, what or who of it, the visions come when they come and she can't force them or stop them. All visions would be discussed with the DM and/or involved individuals beforehand

i'll update the post to show deva cassel has been claimed !! unfortunately, i'm going to have to say no to this leyline power.. we already have a character that sees memories through touch, and this feels too similar to that. i'd like to keep a decent variety in the group, so if you'd like help brainstorming an alternative, or even focusing on the potential of the future vision aspect, i'd be glad to help.

it's definitely not too late to join at all !! as for mind reading, i'm extremely hesitant about this one.. it would require much more collaboration with the others in the group, and it would depend on if they want their character's thoughts to be known, in the first place. additionally, i feel like it's in the same vein as sensing aspects of a person through touch, which we already have. i'd really prefer if you picked something different, so we have a variety of leylines to work with/play around (everyone seems to be leaning towards these conceptual powers lolol).

Question. If we tossed out clairvoyance and kept precognition? What about that?

Otherwise, can I reserve the ability to communicate with animals?

Not a bad idea to keep this as mainly interest check thread, as it is in the Group Requests section, and let newcomers indicate their interest and ask some questions about the premise/setting.

Could go either ways imo, but I'm leaning more towards a site based OOC discussion thread, as hey, everyone is going to be on the site anyways to work on the RP, as it's not a guarantee that everyone here (and future newcomers) will already have Discord.

see, i was thinking about making a discord server, esp since i'm personally easier to reach there.. but i was also worried about whoever wouldn't have or want to use it, so i didn't want anyone feeling left out, yknow?

i wish i could be joining this rp, it sounds SO interesting a concept and i have a high-society miscreant perfect for the job. but i’m going to be away from home for a month, helping family out on the farm. with poor wifi there. πŸ˜…

there will absolutely be opportunities for you to join in the future !!! depending on the group's pacing, your character will just be arriving a smidge late, so long as that's something you're comfortable with. β™‘ we appreciate the well wishes and hope you get to hop in w us once you get back \o/

concerning the ooc conversations for yapping and plotting, i've decided to just.. go with both an on-site thread and a discord server. later tonight, the invitation to the server will be privately sent to all who have posted a character sheet, but i want to preface that it is not a requirement to join. it's simply for those, like myself, who check it far more frequently than this site. i also want to clarify that if any new lore is made within the server, it will also be posted in the ooc thread or reflected in character sheets. i don't want anyone feeling like they're missing out.

secondly, i know we're all eager to start this story up, so i wanted to finally let you know that the first post will be up soon! i cannot guarantee a date bc i work all weekend, but it will either be posted friday evening at the earliest or monday evening at the very latest.

this first section of our story will be the "prologue", where we're essentially going to be establishing our characters in this setting as they return to the kingdom's capital for the social season. during this time, i will still be accepting new writers to join in before we reach the first "chapter".. aka the season's debut ball. i can go more into this once we reach that point.

if anyone has any other questions, just let me know.
