Hello!
This is the new introduction thread since the original was lost in time, as well as being scrapped with the name change.

My name is Mae, and I was very, very active here for a long time. Lots of stuff happened IRL, stuff got busy and messy, and I vanished into thin air.

I discovered my love for fanfiction and started off very naively, only having known RP and learnt that my writing quality wasn't as solid as I always thought it was lol. I very quickly started to research literature, how English works, spent time improving and learning, and now I'm at a level where I'm confident in my own content. Not only that, but I was able to collab with artists and other writers, was able to actively improve my own skills with feedback and input from others I share fandoms with.

I of course still make mistakes, this isn't my first language, but eh - I'd call myself a reasonable writer by now :]

Excited to come back and see what this site has to offer, since I remember it so fondly. I've definitely changed a BUNCH, be it what I enjoy or the type of world-building and characters I like to work with.

My memory of the site and the users here is admittedly a bit hazy - I have a brain like Swiss cheese, so I apologise if I don't recognise you!


Little trivia about me:

I am a creator in the LOL (LeagueOfLegends) fandom and enjoy very specific characters in said universe.

I am a Viking age reenactor and do lots of crafts.

I listen to folk and metal music.

...and I enjoy sweet food and sparkly drinks. My water needs sparkle.

I've created A Sanctum Tour to help find a lot of cool places on site! There's plenty to do while waiting on replies or to give yourself a break every now and then! But, these are some of my favorites! The first shout out goes to The Sanctum Tavern! Here you can find many a thing! By the Hearth can be found there and has many wonderful discussions; my personal favorite is where everyone talks up their writing partners! Want to see some cute pets or share your own? Pets of the Sanctum is where to go! Feeling up for a challenge? Check out the Monthly Writing Challenge and give it a whirl!

And, there's so so so~ much more! Please take the time to explore!​

Oh, you probably know this already, but in case the staff colors are blurry in your memories. Green Names are Heralds and Hot Pink Names are Virtuosos which are the best to ask questions! Blue Names are Moderators and Purple Names are the Administrators, which help with tech support and discipline! You can find out which are online via the home page! On PC it'll be to the right of the screen, and on mobile it'll be near the bottom!
