Hello everyone and thank you for checking out my introduction!

I'm CraftyFox and am returning to role playing/writing after a long hiatus. I have 15+ years of role play experience in a variety of different mediums. Most recently writing in MMOs (FFXIV) where I wrote some multi-year arcs and really enjoyed immersing my characters in the persistent world there.

A bit about my preferences and style for roleplay:
  • I write in 3rd person past tense with paragraph+ length, usually around 500 words in length based on the context of the story.
  • I do keep very busy outside of writing and can range from a few responses a day to a few days between posts. If there is a delay I like to let my writing partners know because communication is essential.
  • I enjoy world building a lot and crafting plot that organically creates challenges for characters to answer or react to. All those years of GMing for tabletop make that pretty ingrained in how I approach overall narrative. Writing to find out is fun, as long as there is general direction where things are going.
  • I am open to NSFW and generally like to incorporate that when and where it fits within the story and has purpose behind it. What the story/smut balance looks like I am open to discuss with my writing partners.
  • I prefer to write as a single character initially as it really helps me find that voice and headspace to bring them to life. Though I am happy to jump in with supporting characters to support that main story.
  • For characters, I have the most experience writing as male, female, and non-binary. I am open to any pairings regardless of gender and ENM/poly connections are welcome.
  • OOC communication is welcome and helpful for getting a plan together to craft a story we will both enjoy writing, mutual enjoyment is a goal of my collaborative writing!

Second! I bet you're wondering how to start Role Playing and where to go! I think it's pretty fun to explore the forums, and I highly recommend doing so! Most thread homes, if not all, have a pinned post at the top of them to tell you what goes there!

However, the Request Threads are pretty self explanatory; Here's a Link! There's plenty to look through, but you could also build your very own! Tell people what you're all about and get those writing partners! Take your time though; there's never any pressure! Next, I've created A Sanctum Tour to help find a lot of cool places on site! There's plenty to do while waiting on replies or to give yourself a break every now and then!
