Well, well, well... Looks like we have another sweet introduction post. I never know what to say in these things. So uh... Strap in. Or not. Up to you. I'm not your dad... :)
I guess I'll start by covering some of the wave tops about me as a person. I'm a dude (technical term) from Australia (fake place... tracking). I spent over a decade in the Army, deployed a few times and travelled a bit. I have an incredibly diverse set of interests, I cannot explain why... I obviously love writing and roleplaying–I wouldn't be here if I didn't. I have a deep interest in history, geo-politics and technology. I play video games and I get unreasonably emotionally attached to the outcome of a few major sporting events every year.
I am a mature (21+) and experienced roleplayer. I have been writing stories and actively roleplaying characters for over 10 years (I know), but I have mostly done so on the hit MMORPG World of Warcraft. I have so many characters in and around that setting, but honestly a lot of them are transferable if I need to re-use or re-imagine them. I am keen to explore other settings like modern (with some fantasy / supernatural stuff), Cyberpunk and gritty Sci-fi like Mothership, Serenity or Star Wars but strictly with the Rogue One and Andor vibe. I love dark fantasy settings, and I am super into Witch/Occult horror themes...
I am obsessed with Joe Abercrombie's world and characters in The First Law and Age of Madness series (and every book in between). I shamelessly steal phrases from the characters there, and I love how magic works in this world. Honestly could probably write stories in this setting quite easily.
I have just finished up with post-grad University for the year (still working full-time though, yay...) and I have decided that I'd like to dedicate the rest of the year to actually writing and expanding my Roleplay horizons. I have no issues making OOC friends in RP, in fact I love OOC communication where we share character aesthetics, do some world building and discuss the plot of RP in general. I think the best RP I've ever done was when I had a great dynamic in OOC as well.
I think I have been fortunate (and unfortunate) enough to observe up close a fairly broad spectrum of humanity, the good, the bad and some stuff in between. I like to try and weave some of that into my writing to bring a more grounded perspective on stuff.
Anyways... I think that's enough rambling? Please feel free to reach out.
Side note: I have no idea what the prefix is meant to mean but I like to have a bit of a laugh...
