Just some ideas -
@Avens if you like it lemme know.
The Hunter families.
Tairns.
Tairns. An older family - one that most tend to prefer to rarely bring up in conversation. The bitterest of grudges, predjudices and the longest of hatreds. For the Tairns, a good supernatural was a dead one. Buried ten feet underground, shot full of silver and under enough concrete. Had the Tairns strength was leadership, planning and cunning. With them being the eldest of houses, when peace came - the Tairns were the first to doubt that anything like peace was meant to last. Still, they committed to the other work and carefully ensured that they kept to the agreement by the letter - as written with an almost malicious compliance. Tairns bitterness to the Dalmens is lasting, truth being that it was the MacKlins that ensured that the peace pact went ahead as for why they were unsure. Tairns also had the hardest training, spetznaz, SaS, the works and what usually came out was not what usually went in. As some would say, Tairns were as much monsters as the ones they hunted.
A single rumor lingers that one Tairn heir fell for a supernatural and his father ensured his misbegotten son was going to kill them. Whether he did, or didn't. None, not even the old man Nicholas Tairn dares answer it despite being estranged from all of the house. The family comes from a mixed military background, mostly those brought up are also sent to training, expected to do better, be better and weakness or hesitation. A Tairn is an almost polar opposite of the Dalmens. All have some deep buried trauma, a twisting of the knife. In their later years, Tairns end up either dead or institionalised due to their mental wearings. This later became known simply as the Tairns folly.
MacKlins.
Drivers, gear heads, gun nuts right through to the tinkerers and technology enthusiasts, where you wanted a toaster that didn't burn the toast right through to a ironman suit, though don't expect the lazers or the ability to fly. MacKlins could in short get a car running on a greasy rag or create multiple redundant networks that would make your own IT guru's headspin. The catch? A hefty price tag mostly due to their enthusiasm and mindset. Historically - most have been the inventors on their next big thing. When it came to hunting, creating crafty ways to hide the unwanted attention of being a hunter. Concealed weapons lockers, better communications which - also got them involved under various other dubious military contracts which contributed to their wealth. While large, KacKlins love of drink social gatherings and family first attitude is one of their greatest strengths but also their weakness. Many a Macklin met their death trying to save those of their family or friends and was sorely missed. In some cases, mental illness can become present in those in later years and most if not all. Should the one they've married pass, or end up dead usually ended with their spouse finding it incredibly hard to exist in their absence.
Rumours are that some of the MacKlins unknowingly have had some of their next generation unknowingly grow up alongside those of supernatural origin - though this is kept in their family and not known by the others. Worst being is that those who relationships have grown.
Breaks.
The Breaks, the firebrands, the go getters and the fearless or fearlessly reckless. Irrespective under pressure they themselves are within their element. The fighters, the ones who lived for the thrill of battle, despite being the youngest house it still is old and its roots go back to that of those who encountered the monsters first hand. Instead of fleeing grabbed the nearest weapon and sought to fight, rather than flee. While having the knowledge, the arts and documented techniques in combat - the limitations of the humanbody. The Breaks like the Dalmens also have a lingering curse, later diagnosed as a maddness or a chemical imbalance that prevented them from sleeping. Later diagnosed as fatal insomnia. So the Breaks burned brightly but like a flash of lightning were doomed in the later years. But still, living longer than the Dalmens, unlike the Dalmens - the Breaks were never for the peace. Ever eager to remove the threat they percieved than what really was there. One ended up a vampire which ended their fatal insomnia, however before the treaty was signed they were supposedly removed in order to save face.
Sol.
Knowledgable about the occult, knowledge keepers along with the social tact and records. The house of Sol, documented and ensured a well known level of knowledge upon the supernatural and despite its size there is still not much many known. In this case detailed medical journals studying both the biomechanical aspects, weaknesses from autopsies, vivisections continue. Sol in the modern age, also ensured to manage a wide number of actual beneficial connection networks both for civilian and on the rare side military use. Those in Sol also were the engineers, those of the medical profession and scientists both to scrutinize the information they obtained but understand and exploit the weaknesses of a quarry that they hunted. When the truce came, it had been discovered that two of their own house had began relationships with supernaturals and had been cut from the family regardless for their own reasons or emotional connections.
Dalmens.
Dalmens were hardy, both in the work they did and the nightmares they faced that crawled in the dark. It was also was what made them the more human of the five, prone to not be as ruthless as others would expect. Despite being good in their trade was not afraid to actually pursue a less violent approach. Others grumbled that the Dalmens were the first to request peace and this hair thin truce. The Dalmens were also the weapon makers, techniques and strategists against foes. Sadly with all this came their darkest curse, simply known as the mark, in the future now known as a highly agressive cancer of which there were only two ways one could go. Either end up becoming that which they huntered or dying within a span of three or less years. On average a Dalmen due to this inherited disease has an average lifespan of forty to fifty years before the cancer takes hold, the eldest being fifty eight who succumbed to cancer. Dalmens always enjoyed to work with their work dogs, their tools and skills of the trade. Sadly none have found a way to remove the Dalmens mark.
All are large generational families that go back centuries - families and branches of which also through careful planning and investment have generated generational wealth that is both guarded but also earned.
Since the truce was brokered, those who made it - ensured it was kept but also any irrespective who broke it, caused trouble was met with the reason why Hunters despite being human were still a danger and an adversary regardless of who or what they were hunting. On those rare occasions - not many have come out unscathed and even with the less sentient but just as more dangerous - while the old hand over the baton to the next generation its clear. Some have began to fall out with their way of life - questioning the rules that they held to for so long.
