Okay, he's wonderful! I think you should put him in the lore thread :>

Okay, so I was reading back on the lore for the Sun Breather, the supposed creator of the Fae, and I contrasted it with the Twin Moon deities, and I thought that what if the Fae believe the Twin Moon deities to be a sort of incarnation or aspect of the Sunbreather? For the Moons shine the light of the sun on the Earth?

Yes. Remember how the Priodies had all kinds of babies? The Twin Moons could easily be The Sunbreather's progeny. It actually makes perfect sense.

Yeah I think that's likely.

I was thinking that the worship practices in Nannalia is not organized religion, but rather sort of 'pagan' and varying in practice between region. Though the Twin Moons are pretty much always depicted as winged and as genderless but with the ringed moon having feminine aspects and the bare moon with masculine aspects

There are 2 moons and a rocky ring.

1 of the moons is pretty small and shines a deep sapphire blue. It reaches its full moon phase very frequently.

The other one is larger, much larger, and shines a strange golden, almost white, and it gets pink and purple and gorgeous every sunset. During twilight, it's like a bright patch that matches the rest of the sky. Not exactly the same, but pretty close. At night, it's a bright golden-white light. It is very slow and more often a crescent than a full moon.

The rocky ring around the planet shines many colours, from silver to green to purple. It's like what you'd see if you orbited near Saturn's suface.

Ah okay I see

Also, I have a question, what is the longevity of the different races in terms of lifespan?

Some visual aid for what a ring would look like:

And a comprehensive link for what it'd look like on Earth, it helps:

Lifespan averages:

Denhartians: 730-913 years (cause necromantic origins and practices etc)

Vleugs: Since they have about 7-9 subspecies, they each have their lifespan. They range from 170-680. The anthropomorphic birds (we can call them Velisse?) are more short-lived, 170-200 max usually, the Valisgth: 300 average, 500 super old, the ones with strange scaly skin and small frames and many wing varieties range from 80-120, and so on. I'll have to flesh out the subspecies more, and name them.

Humans: about the same as us but slightly slower ageing.

Fae: Probably in the general range of 300-700, depending on species? Up to you I think @RK.

Btw I'm thinking of making slim, agile, lizard-like people for Korvia as the main non-human species living there.

Oh damn that's beautiful. Can't wait to write emo flying montages while gazing up at the sky

For Fae I'm just going to throw out some species along with lifespans for each:

The Fae: (Faeish: Nannalann)

Faeries (Faeish: siógann)- Beautiful, charismatic, manipulative beings with four wings: 600-670 years

Gnomes (Faeish: Gnammann)- Short, stout and rocky skinned little people who are excellent builders and extremely resistent to magic: 230-280 years

Banshees: (Faeish: bean sídheann)- Beautiful red haired women with pale skin and knife ears who posses clairvoyence, future-telling, and supernatural screams: 600-700 years

Goblins (Faeish: Púcann)- Short, lithe framed agile creatures who are excellent shapeshifters and nocturnal: 400-430 years

The Ghillie Dhu (Faeish: Ghilli Dhuhann)- Similar to Faeries though shorter, wingless, and nocturnal, always with black hair and an affinity for spellcasting rather than charm: 600-650 years

The Fetch (Faeish: Gan Aghaidhann)- Tall people with no true face, mirroring the faces of those they have encountered. The Fetch can pass through space like mist: 400-450 years

Satyrs: (Faeish: Aoirann) Shorter brown haired men with the horns and legs of a goat, able to play the most enchanting and hypnotic tunes with supernaturally heightened senses: 300-400 years

Some more key details about the nations that I made up just now. Feel free to comment and make additions wherever you see fit:

Government. The Kingdoms of Zhar are made up of Absolute-Monarchies and Feudalistic Monarchies, characterized by highly centralized power in which either the Monarch maintains near full control, or the power is expanded to the nobility/religious institution as well over the people. In both systems of Government, people commonly work under the condition of Serfdom in which the peasant owes his life and land to the Nobility/Monarch. Tribes exist but they live on the peripheries of the continent, often encompassing parts of the four kingdoms with varying degrees of self-autonomy.

Denhart: Denhart is an absolute monarchy, with the Koraki royal family holding nearly all the power in the nation. The influence of the nobility and Religious institution are kept on a leash by the royals as to ensure the power is kept within their blood. The nation's population is divided between three estates, with the Nobility in the 1st Estate, Necromantic Clergy in the 2nd Estate, and Commoners/Nobility in the Third Estate. The main distinction between the Estates are the amount of taxation placed on each, with the Royal family at 0%, the Necromantic Clergy at a taxation of 5% (Though its more a formal 'gift' to the Royal family than a true tax to maintain good relations, as the Clergy is not obligated to pay any by law, and the Commoners/Nobility which pay 40% in tax to support the Royal family, and 15% of their income in tithes to the Necromantic Clergy to maintain the social welfare system that the Necromancers provide. You are only able to marry down in rank, with the exception being in the case of a commoner rising up to become a member of the Necromantic Clergy themselves. Commoners and nobility do not actually own their land, but instead it is owned by either the Necromancers. Divisions of Necromancer owned land are owned by the Royal Family. This creates a system in which most of, the Commoners (70%) are tenant farmers work on a hereditary plot of land governed by the landlord (usually Necromancers).

Nannallia: Nannallia is a Feudalistic Monarchy, with a complex system of King to Vassal to Nobility and serf. The Government is a rather sharp contrast to Denhart, in which there is a complete lack of a strict estates system and people can more easily rise and fall in rank. Nannallia has a robust social welfare system, and tax equity, with taxation being greater the richer you are and lower the poorer you are. Anti-Discrimination laws are equally robust so as to ensure equal rights and equal treatment between all the Fae as Nannalia is an incredibly diverse country. The Nobility have greater power than in Denhart, and as such may hold land in exchange for military service. In turn, the peasantry live on the land of of the nobility and are at their mercy, however anti-corruption laws are put into place that prevents unreasonable treatment and eviction.

In more recent times, Nannalia has been accepting immigrants from neighboring countries such as their close ally Karvia in exchange for labor which cannot easily be sourced domestically. Non-Fae are met with acceptance but struggle to fit in a kingdom filled with magic, especially the Human majority of Karvia

Place of Religion: The Nannalians operate on the non-organized faith of the Dhá ghealach. Due to the lack of a true Religious institution, Social Welfare is provided to the people by the Royalty and in part by the Nobility. Temples are built throughout every village, with often multiple in major cities.

Karvia: Karvia is an industrial country, founded on the backs of the Humans and the lizard people (insert proper name here) in the absence of magic. The Kingdom is rapidly moving away from an agrarian economy into an industrial economy, large swaths of the nation gathering in the cities to take up labor jobs, The economy is booming, new jobs filling previous ones with increasing machine capability and more technical positions in science and engineering cropping up seemingly everyday. The system of Serfdom has been effectively abolished, though Royalty still maintains strong power within the Kingdom and social hierarchy is more strongly enforced than in Nannalia. Tax equity exists, however it is in its infancy stage and the nobility are often corrupt and bloated in terms of wealth.

Karvia exports a great deal of its goods and resources in exchange for enchanted materials and magic from Nannallia.

At this world state, Nannallia is basically on the track of becoming a parliamentary democracy and constitutional monarchy within the next few hundred years (Basically like this world's version of Sweden), and Karvia is on the track of becoming a Representative Democracy within the same time frame (Like the United States)

Vleug:

Island: Annexed part of Vleug with limited autonomy,

I'll read and change inaccuracies when I have time. Some things you touched upon are already established by me, so unless I think they're improvements, I'm gonna have to change them, alright? Mostly Denhart. It's my baby :p

Alright y'all, I created ONE FINAL CHARACTER. I'm done this time, I swear. See him in the lore thread ^-^

Have you thought of how she'd end up in the main plot line? Cause I'm blanking on that ngl. Also, there are no humans in Denhart. Maybe a couple. But the main humanoid species there is Denhartians.

And the steampunk airships are actually clean, they use water for their power, so the only thing they emit is steam. It'd have to be something else.

Have you already established how everyone will be bumping into each other? And why? If so, I must've missed that, and you can fill me in so I can think of something.

An inter-realm diplomatic meeting is being held over the course of 9 days ( this world's length of a week) in an unclaimed forested region on the eastern side of the continent. It's essentially being held to smooth the growing tensions between the participating nations (and also for the Nannalians to spy on other countries)

Denhartians don't hunt monsters. There are like 12 monster hunters in the neutral area between the borders of Nannallia and Denhart. Denhartians come from the same origins as their monsters and the royal family makes it very clear what the punishment for the crime of killing them is. The culture is full of 'don't hurt monsters' and people learn how to deal with them. This is all in the lore thread/previous discussions. The monster hunter character is also gone. Atomic chose something else.

We settled on these details so it does matter.

Like RK. said. That's the plot we established through our discussions as well.

No one needs to copy airships because the fae have dragons, Denhartians have gigantic ravens or magic or other things, and the Vleugs are practically all capable of flight. The airships are literally the result of most humans living in Karvia and having no magic. It's an ingenious step forward for them that put them on semi-equal footing in power with the other nations.

Samantics really, either way, there are people who hunt monsters there. What are Denhartians comparable to? Unless I misread, and the monster infested lands as well as the people who hunt them are located elsewhere.
Okay, doesn't have to be steam punk airship, it was something though 🤷🏼‍♂️ no one saw what it was so couldn't say. Whose to say they weren't testing a bio chemical weapon of some sort or it was an experimental craft from another nation attempting to copy their steam punk airships? Just a thought.
As for how she would fit in, I mean, there's monster hunters so, whose to say one of the monster hunter characters doesn't befriend her while hunting in the marshes? That's as good a way as any, but if no one wants to collaborate on that, I have no doubts I'll figure something out. This character background was a rough idea I came up with on the fly and can be easily adjusted to fit the needs of the rp.

Likely whatever it was is some sort of Vleugish technology, as they're experimenting with some nefarious shit in the annexed island. As of right now we don't have to know what exactly it was, although we could solidify it more sometime later and tie it into Vleugish state of affairs

Isn't Flubnugget's character a human from Denhart though? How would that fit in?

Oh and also I feel like when more people join the RP when should stipulate that their characters should be from Vleug (Including the Annexed island) or Karvia, as currently we have three Nannalians and two Denhartians which leaves us with no Karvians or Vleugish MCs

So there is no monster hunting at all? What is the point of having a monster riddled world then?
So basically monster hunting is done entirely by Non- Denhartians, as within Denhart the royalty have leveraged this policy of not killing the monsters with a rather iron fist.

Monster hunting is basically politically Oppositionist by nature as a means to thin out the number of abominations slipping through borders. It's a really big problem as border areas see border villages beattacked and villagers/ local economy be decimated by the threat

Also, what is the status of hunting creatures that do not come from Denhart?
