I've had a story fermenting in my brain for a good while now, and with a few tweaks (mostly making the main character less main character-y) I think it could make for a great RP.

Verileigh, the capital of Haeosiphia, is a massive bustling city. The place used to be a great plain before it was reformed into a city with thousands of families residing in it. Verileigh also has more ability users than any other city in the country. In this world, only about one in a thousand people develop supernatural abilities. This is taking into account the people that develop theirs late in life, with not enough time to adjust or train their power to be of use. Verileigh has about three to four dozen current recorded cases, and among those some are heroes, some are villains, and the rest are either heroes-in-training, retired, or have a power that's too weak to be a concern.
Heroes and villains have aliases that they are known by, some for the purpose of hiding their real identities (all caps).

The mysterious and unpredictable villain VEE appeared two years ago, slaughtering multiple political figures with an unknown motive. He and his sidekick are currently in a stalemate against the city's top heroes, while the hero commissioners refuse to consider an alternative to dealing with VEE other than on-field execution. What is VEE's goal, and is he simply the psychopath that he appears to be?
While this is all happening, the villains who keep to the shadows are watching, waiting, biding their time like circling vultures...

VEE: A mysterious villain who, depending on his mood, can be hair-raisingly threatening or sunnily silly and dramatic.
Ability: Electricity manipulation

ALKE: VEE's sidekick and a formidable weapon user. He has a short fuse, but anger in no way makes him sloppy.
Ability: N/A

Andrei Woodfield: A well-adjusted and well-off hermit with a sweet tooth. He wasn't prepared to raise a kid, but he's doing his best. Collin's guardian. VEE's civilian identity.

Collin: an anti-social university student whose grades aren't the worst. Complains about cafeteria food a lot. ALKE's civilian identity.

Jasper: [used only if needed]

Here are some characters I've already come up with that could fit into the story - you can choose to claim one for the rp (the ones with a * have a bit of backstory, so if you choose them I'll send you their full details. Others might have a tidbit or two that should be mentioned) to use or tweak as you wish, or you can use your own characters ⬇️
(Louisa and Ryan's backstories have potential triggering elements. Feel free to ask about the trigger warnings.)

Zachary Wellson: A positive and energetic young man who is the face of the strongest hero group in Verileigh. Loyal, oblivious, and simple-minded, he's beloved by civilians and coworkers alike.
Ability: beastly strength, reflexes, and sense of smell.

Ellios Alpin: The backline support hero with a stubborn streak and a mildly dubious moral compass. He tends to avoid the spotlight.
Ability: Inanimate object summoning (limited)

Coda and Korra Strike (these two are a package deal lol): Young fire and ice twins with wildly opposing personalities. They're rarely seen apart, and are much more mature than they look.

*Louisa Garan: The laid-back mentor. She's logical and decisive, though for some odd reason uses handguns instead of her ability.
Ability: Poison gas

*Ryan Liu: A fun and flirty young man who can be surprisingly competitive. His perceptiveness and consideration is often masked by jokes and teasing. Are his piercings a fashion statement or a belated rebellious phase?
Ability: head and limb multiplication (self)
- this guy's backstory has a normal version and a dark version.

Hanji Graves: Paranoid and shy, this guy doesn't look like the human bomb factory that he is. He seems constantly overstimulated, can someone give him a hug?
Ability: Sensing and absorbing emotions to condense into explosions.
BLOODRAIN - Tobi: A childish ticking time bomb with his sights set on VEE's sidekick, ALKE. An escaped death row prisoner, with a number tattoo on his face to prove it.
Ability: Temporarily bringing to life the things he draws with his own blood.

*MEDUSA: A graceful and vengeful woman with a score to settle. She knows her way around firearms, and her path to villainy is an unknown controversy.
Ability: mass-limited shape-shifting.

*EMPEROR - Ruomi Jin: a narcissistic and devious rich guy who lives like it's a monarchy and he's the heir to the crown.
Ability: N/A
(This guy's backstory has partial spoilers for Media's backstory)

*Hakari Suzuki: A two-faced snake who dislikes physical activity. One moment he seems to enjoy the role of a bystander, the next he stirs up trouble and leaves the fallout for others to bear.
Ability: flight (self + contact)
Ezra Hartley: a professor who worries a bit too much and tries to stay out of the whole supernatural side of things. He's a gentle person and is good at his job, but has a somewhat fragile psyche.
Ability: Plant manipulation (undiscovered)

Charlie McLean: a strict and uncompromising rule-follower whose grades are at the top of their university department.
Ability: N/A

Hansen Kang: a popular boy with a talent for sports, and Charlie's classmate. Morally, he's quite flexible and always chooses the course of action that will be the most beneficial, no matter if it's legal or not. He's friends with Collin. Could be hiding something?
Ability: N/A

You're free to have more than one character btw! I suppose it depends on the amount of people in the RP.

I think the best way to go about this would be to do a D&D style story, where I'm both the DM and a player and y'all do whatever the hell you want with the story and my characters react accordingly. If you have any questions, suggestions, or ideas, please lmk!

Hi there. Wondering if anyone has shown any interest in a couple of the characters at all? The ones I'm most interested in would be Ryan, and/or Coda and Korra. Maybe Emperor, but, I think I'd like to limit myself to two-three characters if possible 0.0

I would love to hear more about Medusa, but she being a villain and your VEE character being a villain may make the game lopsided. Thoughts?
MEDUSA has her own agenda, and works solo as most villains do. She's more of a supporting character with her own plotline, but it doesn't really tie in with the main plot. That's why if you're playing multiple characters she'd be easier to have, since she's not overly relevant. Vee is the core of the story, and it revolves mostly around him and the heroes.

Not really, though I'm not too miffed since it's not the greatest in terms of RP freedom. I think it's not much of a spoiler to say here that Ryan was written to be trans, but whoever plays him can change that up if they'd like - it's just that I have two versions of his backstory, and him being trans is important for the darker one that's full of trigger warnings lol.

Emperor's existence depends on Medusa's existence, and Hakari's existence depends on Emperor's. Otherwise, they're just in-universe but not mentioned.

Coda and Korra are supporting characters, but they also have potential for their own side plot (twin stuff, family issues, etc). They're polar opposites so I think it'd be fun to write their interactions.
