Hey folks! Just a thread for some characters and ideas for the Le Zoo Demonique story. The original thread can be found heeerreee --->

This RP isn't closed if anybody else is interested. Multiple character writers are welcome! Feel free to copy and paste the basic bio I used for my character, otherwise if you'd like to go into further detail please feel free to do so. Personally, I don't really use face-claims, but you do you lol

Here is my first/main character-

Name: Jacobus Allison Bradshaw
Stage name: Icarus the Phoenix
Gender: Male
Pronouns: He/Him
Sexuality: Pansexual
Age: 24
Height: 6'0"
Build: Muscular and toned but lean
Appearance: Tall, pale skin. Short black hair and lazy dark brown eyes.
Markings, piercings, or tattoos: Slight burn scars decorating his entire body.
Ability (physical or magic): "Phoenix" or "The Witch"- This ability allows Jacobus to basically manipulate his body when ignited. He can't feel burning sensations and when burned alive, he can rebuild his body and re-emerge like a phoenix. He can only rebuild his body at the state at which it was when he was first burned, though (he cannot heal scratches or bruises. If he is injured when he burns, he will still have that injury when he is rebuilt). Jacobus doesn't like to use his ability. His talent in regards to performance are flame-blowing/spinning torches, and dancing with fire. Occasional acrobats in a ring of fire, but primarily fire-twirling.
Personality: Jacobus is fairly quiet. He's a little shy and a slight pushover. Despite his strength and power he doesn't know how to stand up for himself.
Backstory: Jacobus' grandmother was one of the sole survivors of the European witch trials. They can't tell exactly where the power emerged from, but it's run in his family for generations, though he is the first male to be able to perform it. He is his mother's only son and because of his burn markings, he struggled to find employment elsewhere. He made the mistake of telling the ringmaster his family history and she uses it as a performance aspect, but he doesn't like being called a witch. He doesn't like his job or the ringmaster, but he does like his coworkers. Jacobus feels indebted to the circus despite his resistance to it. He also suspects that the ringmaster is less of a moral person than she makes herself out to be, and he is afraid of what she may do if he leaves.

Second character- kind of an npc but I'm totally keen to play her if no-one else is (some of it is a W.I.P.)
My character sheet:
Name: Philomena Hessie Shapter
Stage name: Ring-mistress (Madame, Mistress) Decarabia
Gender: Female
Pronouns: She/her
Sexuality: ? (Maybe bi?)
Age: 39
Height: 5'7"
Build: Average build, not extremely muscular, but not thin.
Appearance: Wears a short, curly purple wig on stage, but naturally has long blonde hair. Large grey eyes that are rather sunken in her face. Thin, plucked eyebrows. Very obvious, high cheekbones- her face gives a rather skeletal appearance, but her bones do not show through the rest of her body. Thin lips that are covered in black or dark red lipstick when she's performing. When performing, she wears a busty corset, a choker with a skull cameo, long black beaded earrings, and a long tight-fitting black skirt. When she isn't performing, she typically wears average Victorian attire- a blouse, jacket, and bustle skirt, etc. Very modest.
Markings, piercings, or tattoos: She has a tattoo of a poorly drawn shrunken head on her chest and several other smaller, equally morbid tattoos across her body that are only visible when she's performing.
Ability (physical or magic): None
Personality: For lack of better words, she is quirky. She almost always has a smile on her face and her true intentions are very concealed. Some think she may be psychotic. When performing she is extravagant and her personality is very colorful, loud, and unpredictable, but offstage she's rather lady-like and polite. It's extremely difficult to tell how much of her personality is an act and how much of it is truly her.
Backstory: Most of her backstory is well concealed- What she did from the ages of 1-35 is unknown. The performers only know that she was formerly married and that she bought the circus at 35. It is unknown how she managed to fund it. She spent two years traveling and recruiting performers for her show. From 38 to the present time at which the story takes place, she is the ring-leader of the show, though she has no unnatural ability herself. Her motivations for running the show are unknown.

Name: Marie and Marlon Beaulieu
Stage name: Dusk and Dawn
Gender: Both are genderfluid
Pronouns: She/her for Marie and he/him for Marlon, but both are fine with they/them
Sexuality: Both are pansexual
Age: 24
Height: 5'9"
Build: Very lithe and athletic

Appearance: Both wear matching black and white harlequin costumes, with one wearing silver moon symbols (Dusk) and the other sun symbols (Dawn). Their faces are painted pure white with red swirling patterns around their eyes and a red dot on their lower lips. Due to both having a very lean and androgynous appearance, you have to look very close to tell which one is Marie and which one is Marlon. Occassionally they like to swap the Dusk and Dawn personas. Outside of their makeup they both have swarthy skin, short brown hair and amber eyes.

Abilities: Extremely skilled trapeze artists and acrobats, possess a psychic link that allows them to share each others thoughts and emotions. Sometimes finish each other's sentences, or seem to be one person with two bodies.

Personality: The Beaulieu twins are playful, mischievous, even trollish in their interactions with others. They are always smiling behind their makeup, and never speak vocally to each other. They sometimes seem to have trouble understanding other people's emotions.

Backstory: Born in rural France, the twins were noted as being very strange from birth, with one seemingly always able to know what the other was thinking or doing no matter how far apart. They were noted as troublemakers and pranksters, always causing havoc among the townsfolk. Eventually they were picked up by a circus who put their amazing ability to coordinate with each other to good use as acrobats, although the ringmaster did not pay them very well; when Philomena came knocking with the offer of a better life elsewhere, they literally jumped at the chance.
