HISTORY

1. Describe the character's childhood.
Max knows next to nothing about his birth parents other than that they were from Mexico and their last name was Cortez. He grew up in an orphanage where at the age of 6 he met a young boy Alan, who at first they were merely acquaintances until they both realized they were trans at the age of 9 and quickly became best friends, and built a brotherly bond. While the orphanage was a terrible place to live in and the staff often mistreated the children who lived there, but it was bearable because Max and Alan had each other. When they were 14, the two boys decided to ditch the orphanage and fend for themselves.
