Hello, I am Aiyanaara (at least here I am), a 42-year old physically disabled person (I elect not to disclose personal identifying information online, which includes my sex/gender). I have been writing role playing characters online for the last 23 years(29 years IRL) largely by way of play by email Star Trek games. I have since branched out to other genres and writing formats, adult & not. From RPOL to sites like this one. Forums, private messages, chat based RP and the Nova simulation site software formats all.
I have been trying to write and express myself in a more adult fashion for the last six to eight years, but either can't find a site I'm comfortable with or the site closes (see: Guilty Pleasures & House Eros, both gone in the past few months). I'm on the follow up site for HE and I am here to give the Sanctum a try as well.
My personal goal is to express a particular character's sexuallity, which I could not in the above mentioned Star Trek games, as those are very specifically PG-13 for everything involving relationships & sexuality. I have been playing this particular character for the last 22 years consistently building upon the character. What I am looking for specifically would need to be left to a request thread and/or Private Messages. That said, I have no issues with writing other characters and other genres and I have, even recently (right up until we found out that HE was about to shut down. Unfortunately, those RPs were in PMs and lost entirely).
Again, I don't disclose personally identifying information online, particularly not in a forum type format, but I can disclose some basic information:
Again, I am 42 years of age, a citizen and resident of the United States of America. I operate on Pacific Time, though my online time is extremely varied. I am permanently physically disabled as the result of a brain injury and I also have a (relatively common) kidney disease which requires routine dialysis. Unfortunately, the WiFi at the clinic is extremely filtered and every site like this one is blocked, so I would love to spend that empty time writing, but cannot. If need be, I can give my writing partners warnings when I have to wait to respond properly as I have to depart for treatment.
I look forward to meeting some of you all and hopefully finding writing partners.
EDIT: Barely a minute after posting, I remembered something I didn't include.
I have written in the first person before, but did not enjoy doing so. I am almost exclusively a third-person writer when it comes to fiction.
