First meeting Maxime, they are relatively polite; albeit, it is immediately apparent they try keeping others at a distance. She prefers not to engage in small talk, nor ask for assistance. Often communicates with sarcasm and slightly condescening comments. Extremely blunt with their opinions, sometimes to the point of being tactless. Despite their cold exterior, it is not impossible to befriend the astronomer: Maxime is loyal and protective, offering advice only when it is wanted, and doing small favors to show that she cares. Secretive, intuitive, and extremely studious.

After pulling all-nighters to stare at papers, books, or through a telescope, Maxime typically rewards themself with power naps. They're also very fond of herbal teas and scented candles to relax with: lemongrass tea and sweet scents seem to be their favorites. Maxime dislikes hot weather, preferring cooler climates; however, summer is ironically her favorite season, solely because it is the best time for stargazing. Gets irritable on cloudy nights, and when she has too much paperwork.

Since Maxime doesn't typically go out, they don't generally worry too much about their appearance. They're usually the type to wear pajamas all day if they don't leave the house. However, on days she's forced to have social interaction, her outfits are very neutral-colored. Almost always wears trousers, and switches up between sweaters and button-up blouses. Wears very simple, leather ankle boots. Accessorizes very minimally with watches or simple gold necklaces.
Doesn't wear makeup, save for very special occasions. Her hair is usually wavy and messy, just barely long enough to tie into a sad excuse for a ponytail. They have a beauty mark beneath their right eye, and a few other moles sporadically placed around their body. Prominent eye bags are a perpetual part of her appearance. Smells like dark vanilla bean, orchid, and sandalwood.
