The Looking Glass is an organized criminal force primarily composed of Dolls: elegant, deadly creations that resemble a mix of human and ball-jointed doll, specifically crafted to be the perfect weapons. It is spearheaded by the Puppeteer, who functions as the handler of operatives and the acting matriarch. The organization has no overarching agenda other than to gain more wealth and influence by lending out its Dolls to mercenary groups, performing assassinations, assisting other sects, and forming political ties. House Willowmaw is a noble family residing in Eiselhelm, Ineru. Within their home estate, Caelestis Manor, they hold a schooling program that teaches aspiring mages and those gifted in the arcane arts how to utilize the power of the world in a location where magic is most unpredictable and volatile. Quite notorious and exceedingly selective of its students, the Willowmaw's idea behind their teachings is if a mage can withstand and wield the powerful, unstable magic in the Bloodmage Peaks, then they can do anything as long as they will it. sapphire's revenge. The Sapphire's Revenge is a tri-masted ship captained by Piper Wintonโbetter known as the Ruby Siren. The ship dedicates its time and resources to searching for a fabled island called Ilรฝsia tis รntheias. |
looking glass dolls. The Dolls are creations solely belonging to the infamous mercenary group The Looking Glass. They are beautiful, porcelain husks that do not need to eat or sleep, cannot bleed, and are immune to poisons and toxins. When the Puppeteer imbues them with her raw, strange magic, that's when they are given life and their more humanlike qualities: soft, fleshy skin, perfect, healthy hair, and unique personalities. From the moment they are given new sentienceโif they do not go mad from the experience, that isโthey begin their training for the organization. vinculum. A Vinculum (Vinculi pl.) is a deรญmon that takes the form of a scaled humanoid with long tails, sharp claws and pointed teeth, digitigrade legs, and an innate ability for elemental magic. They are most known for bonding soulsโwishes and power granted to either party through the connection. Vinculi are often gifted with specific elemental magic depending on what color gemstone they are born with. leeches. The Leech is a detestable creature of unknown origin. Born typically to human parents, a Leech is recognized from birth by many telltale traits; pointed teeth, glowing eyes, and ears reminiscent of a half-elf. Due to their gruesome upkeep, they are despised and often killed upon birth or left to die in the wilderness. When a Leech imbibes enough blood from a creature or person, for a short period of time, they mimic their abilities and arcane powers, and their natural physical prowess is briefly intensified. |
heart of the sea. The Heart of the Sea is said to be a mysterious artifact gifted upon the material plane by the divine Ancient, Viara. Regarded as a Grand Quest yet to be found, there are many who speculate that its wielder will have total power over the world's oceans and its weather. Other effects may include the ability to breathe underwater, read the currents and tradewinds, and communicate with sea creatures. Captain WallaceโGreed of the Sins of the Seasโhas been the only one closest to capturing the Heart of the Sea for himself, though he ultimately failed to do so. |
