I'm seeking roleplay partners who like to worldbuild a bit, who will discuss and plan things out with me OOC. I tend to come to the table with the foundations of a setting and plot in hopes that my partners will build on it with me. I like to play one or two main characters along with multiple side characters to help push the plot along, and prefer a partner who will do the same.

I only do multi-paragraph roleplays. My exact length will vary based on what's happening in the plot and how I'm feeling, but I'll always aim to give you at least a couple of nice crunchy paragraphs and hope that you will try to do the same. I ask that my partners put forth their best effort when it comes to grammar and spelling and things when we're in character, but OOC I'm chill about that so keysmash away.

I am only looking for story-driven roleplays at the moment, but I do love to have a side of romance with my plot, and romance can lead to smut. I'm totally cool roleplaying smut scenes when they naturally come up in the story. I'm also cool with fading out if you prefer. I'm only looking for mxm roleplays at the moment. Trans characters are welcome as long as they're respectfully written.

One small nitpick-- I am not a fan of using anime/manga characters as faceclaims. I strongly prefer either photo faceclaims, or art that you have drawn/commissioned yourself. It's not a deal breaker, but I am less likely to be interested in characters with anime portraits.

I'm going to go ahead and lay out a few things that I absolutely won't roleplay (some smut related, some not) and then a few more things I love in a roleplay.

*Werewolves and other shapeshifters with human forms don't count, they're perfectly fine! In fact I'm a huge fan of werewolves!​

*Basically I don't want to play an abuser as my main character. If one/both of our characters an abuse victim in their past, or if they're turning to my character for help or something, then it's a topic I'm happy to explore.​

-Anything that fetishizes lgbt people, including futa and yaoi.

Worldbuilding Idea #1 - Post-Apocalyptic
Status: Looking again

Post-apocalyptic North America
Looking for: A human male character, 21 to 35 years old

The World
As I mentioned in the first post, this is just meant to be a foundation that we can build on together, so feel free to bring up changes and additions.

Late in the 21st century, resource shortages, environmental catastrophe and warring governments led to the collapse of society. Generations later, the human population is much smaller after generations of disease, famine, and war. What were once the east and west coasts have been reclaimed by the ocean. Further inland, flora and fauna have reclaimed abandoned cities, turning them into forests and literal concrete jungles (visuals: 1 2 3.)

Technology is scarce, guns and ammunition are rare. Modern medicine as we knew it no longer exists, and though there are healers armed with books and passed-down techniques, they must make do with more primitive remedies. There is no centralized government, at least not in North America. There is hope to be found in the settlements and towns that have grown from the ruins, and often these places will set up their own governments-- some harmonious communities, others under the fists of local tyrants. Raiders and bandits torment smaller settlements and prey on travelers.

My Character

The character I'm itching to play is an odd young man named Kyan, who makes his home in a forest-city not far from a thriving town. He is quiet, strange, and a bit rude, but he uses the healing skills passed down by his mother to help the townsfolk and travellers as much as he can. He has a good reputation with the townsfolk despite his eccentricities, and they sometimes bring him food and supplies to thank him for his help.
(Reminder if there is to be smut: Kyan is inexperienced, but would prefer to switch and I would love another vers character)

Plot and pairing ideas
I can imagine a lot of different characters and ways for them to meet Kyan. These are just a few suggestions, but by all means let me know if you think of something you like better!

-Y/C is a newcomer to the town. They hear about the strange healer in the old city and grow curious, or perhaps they need his help. They try to seek him out only to get lost in the city, or they run into trouble and Kyan finds them just in time. Alternatively, your character find Kyan in trouble and needing a hand.

-Y/C is a traveler passing through the old city. After an encounter with bandits or wild animals, they find themselves badly injured and unable to make it to the town. Kyan finds them, but instead of taking them to the city, he insists they stay with him until they're well enough to go on their own.

-Y/C is a fugitive, driven into the old city by desperation. Perhaps they are injured, and their pursuers are closing in. Kyan can offer them a place to hide and heal, but their pursuers are crawling all over the old city looking for them. It's only a matter of time until they find Kyan's hiding place.

If you have an anti-hero or otherwise morally ambiguous character:

-(Combined with fugitive idea.) Y/C is clever and manipulative, scamming their way through towns and settlements. Unfortunately, some dangerous people have wised up and now they need to lie low. They hear about the healer and his willingness to help every stranger he crosses paths with; they recognize an opportunity when they hear one and seek out the healer to take advantage of his kindness.

-Y/C is a raider themselves, part of a small pack that recently arrived in the area. Having a healer around would be useful, both for his skills and for the fact that the town might be willing to pay for his life. The healer, of course, does not get a say in all this. (There can still be romance in this one as long as your character isn't outright abusive, but it would be a very slow burn!)

Worldbuilding Idea #2 - Modern Supernatural
Status: Still looking
Looking for: A human man or newly turned werewolf age 21 to 30, or a more experienced werewolf aged 25 to 35

The World
(As always, this is just a starting point to build on, and I'm open to any changes and additions!)

Unbeknownst to humans, werewolves have been living alongside humans for much of history. In this particularly city, they've coexisted relatively peacefully, thanks to the local werewolf community's dedication to keeping themselves as well as their human counterparts safe. Occasionally, there is conflict when human hunters arrive to kill werewolves, or when a rogue werewolf attacks human residents, but those incidents are usually quickly dealt with by the leaders of the werewolf community. There are a few humans who are aware of the wolves-- they are either close loved ones of the werewolves, or hunters sent to kill them.

The Plot Idea
Character A is a human man living a relatively normal life, just trying to get by in the big city. He is unaware of werewolves... Until the night he is attacked and bitten by one. Character B, a more experienced werewolf, finds Character A, either right after the attack or a bit later when he is beginning to struggle with the changes he is going through. Character B takes the newly turned werewolf under his wing. He also begins to investigate the attack itself, trying to discover who was behind it.

Meanwhile, more and more attacks are occurring, and it becomes increasingly clear that this is not an out of control rogue, but a deliberate, calculated effort to bring more werewolves into existence. No one is sure who is behind this or what their goals are, and it's up to our two characters to find out before it escalates out of control.

(I can be either character A or character B as I already have one character for both. Would love to find one roleplay for each!)

My Characters
Tristen - Character Bio Here
Tristen is a 26-year-old human, a recovering addict who has only recently begun to get his life back on track after leaving his abusive ex. He reconciled with his estranged family, and with their support, has recently marked his first year of sobriety. He is gradually healing and turning back into the lively, humorous young man he once was. Everything finally seems to be getting better for him, at least until one dark night when he is cornered by a monster he's never seen before.
(Tristen would be Character A in this situation! Looking for a switch to pair with him.)

Declan Murphy - Character Bio Here
Declan is a 32-year-old faoladh, Irish werewolf. He fled to the United States after hunters killed his young daughter and tried to kill him. Shortly after arriving, he was taken in by the owner of a bar frequented by werewolves, and once he had recovered somewhat, he began to work there. With his steadfast and stern-but-caring nature, he quickly became a well respected member of the community. He keeps an eye out for any problems with humans, and has been known to look after newly turned werewolves.
(Declan would be Character B in this situation! Looking for a switch or a bottom to pair with him.)
