Hello there, welcome to my humble female request thread. I'm shizuu, a 25 year old female looking to write with a lover of all things beautiful and appealing. I don't care if you are male, female, anything in between, or none at all. All I want to see is your lovingly crafted characters interacting with the story authentically. I'm a lover of romance and they're always the main focal point of my roleplays, sorry! I'm a big romantic and adore the inner, intimate dialogues spiraling in their heads. I hope to write with someone willing to scratch that itch for me.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM ME:
»⠀I'm quite busy with real life but I do want to roleplay when I do have some free time. Expect a reply once or twice a week or once every two weeks but I will try to get it out as quick as I can without compromising on quality. My muses come and go sometimes but I'll always inform you about this. Please be understanding if you wish to roleplay with me.
»⠀I typically write between ~800-2k words. In an engaging roleplay, I hover around the 1k mark. I will always try to match what I'm given unless I've got more to say. I do tend to write fatter starters with my most recent being 2.7k words.
»⠀Carefully considered responses with good grammar. Typos may occur, albeit rarely.
»⠀Third-person perspective. Past tense.
»⠀Frequent OOC chatter. I'm always trying to make this experience as smooth as possible without any miscommunication. Admittedly, I'm not the best at coming up with unexpected but perfectly executed ideas on the spot so I may be querying you about various things. Really, I don't bite! Come at me with how you saw our characters in the most random way possible in this oddly specific dynamic. I will eat it up.
»⠀Discord or PMs for OOC. If you're fine with either, PMs for initial, serious plotting and Discord for more lighthearted messages and random blabber about our characters.
»⠀Pinterest boards and playlists! This is one of my favorite things about starting new roleplays. Being able to expand on our characters and their world before reaching such points in the roleplay is very important to me.
»⠀Illustrated FCs only.
I usually create characters beforehand for roleplays, i.e., when I reach out to people, I'm usually hoping to use a specific character I've written before. If you reach out to me, I'll offer you one of my characters, but I'm open to writing up one if you've got a specific pairing in mind. Do keep in mind that it'll take some time for me to write a new character because there's a whole bunch of stuff I have to consider and understand about the character first before actually using them.
A tidbit about me that's kind of annoying and picky, but I should be upfront about it beforehand to avoid any issues:
I really love the characters I create. I'm sure everyone else feels the same because why would you write a character you don't like?? However, what that means for me is that I'm selective about the characters my character is paired up with. While my characters are certainly not self-inserts, I relate to them in some way or I admire something about them deeply, which means I won't pair up Jay with Jane just because you think it would be cute when they don't have a lot of chemistry to begin with. If I don't think the character you're pitching me will suit the dynamic I envisioned for my character, I might reject that idea. HOWEVER, that doesn't mean I'll only write this very specific dynamic because I'm interested in exploring a lot of things!
I know that makes me sound like a douche but I would much prefer to have only a couple, mutually meaningful roleplays than many, mundane ones that I'm not 100% invested in. I don't write just for the sake of writing or to give some small bit of entertainment before I go do other stuff. I want to create worlds to be wrapped up in fully, immersed intensely. I want to write stories full of life and nuance and I want you to also feel the same about this. You don't have to be bawling reading my replies and feeling as if you're our characters, but I want you to be just as intrigued as I am and willing to show this love.

»⠀A thought-out roleplay request with either your own plots, pairing ideas or one of my plots/pairings as well as your own queries about the plot ideas. As I've mentioned, I always like to keep things well-clarified and pre-established. Please do not message me with a "Hey, saw your post. Wanna RP?" for the sake of saving both of our times. Let's be efficient with our requests, yeah? Although, if you really don't have any ideas but still really eager to start, please do mention that and brainstorm with me! Tell me what you like and we can take it from there.
»⠀I will know you will have read this post properly if you send me a writing sample along with your request!
»⠀Please have patience in my replies. I will always tell you if there's an insurmountable difficulty that's keeping me from replying but if I'm silent, that means I'm brewing up something, even if it's taking a long time. I will never up-and-leave you with no word.
»⠀Similarly, you may post infrequently, but please don't leave me hanging for like a month in radio silence. I'll assume the worst and think you've ghosted me, and at that point, I'll simply move on from the roleplay. Always give me some kind of heads-up, even if it is very brief.

I love building up relationships slowly and agonizingly until they're at the point where there's so much deep pining that they haven't even realized. I also like to have characters initially be inexplicably attracted to each other but these two things would preferably not be happening for the same characters. It's one or the other.
I adore the dynamic between two dark, brooding characters and the way they shed their cool exteriors solely for the other. Not the biggest fan of Grumpy x Sunshine. I know, hang me because that's like one of the most popular dynamics out there. Basically, anything that has the characters butt heads are usually a yes in my books. I don't like to write against really cutesy, sensitive, frail etc. characters, even for females and especially for males. I want to see the characters have that spark in them and isn't afraid to stand up for themselves if need be. This doesn't mean they have to be really tough and burly all the time and I do like seeing people be vulnerable to their loved ones.
BIPOC OCs welcome! Although my current character roster is quite Euro-Centric at the moment, I'm definitely planning to create more POC characters. You may also approach with settings that are not centered in the US or Europe! I'm open to exploring various cultures, but be warned it'll take a bit of time for me to research and understand the history if I'm not well-acquainted in order to represent truthfully.
I prefer plot over smut and any smut should be tasteful and well-suited for the development of their relationship. It should be at a pivotal moment or at the end when they've finally earned it after their immense pining. Also, another somewhat big preface: I don't have a lot of experience with smut. Due to some mysterious, unknown force, all of my smutty roleplays have never developed to the point of me fully completing a smut scene which, when you say it out loud, is kind of crazy, but that's just how it is. Please don't expect me to fluidly write smut scenes because I can't, but I'm really willing to learn! If you're okay with me being a bit amateur on that side, I'd love to write and learn along the way.
I'll admit and say that I'm a vanilla writer. I'm not particularly interested in truly rough sex with themes such as gangbang/pain (like actually hurting past arousal)/BDSM etc. (Again, ask and we'll see if it would suit our characters and plot.) Of course, it won't be all boring sex though.

» Suzume Fujita (character sheet in the works)
A female commoner in early Edo period Japan. She works as a tea house owner with her own shop that she faithfully tends to each day by herself. She enjoys the simple things in life and wants nothing more than peace and quiet.
Susurrous Streams.
" At the edge of the simple village of Nogawa, there stood a lonely tea house shrouded in mystery, 'Fuji Chaya', with an owner as enigmatic as the building. Her and her establishment was understated and said little, but performed its duties faithfully for years to the point where none questioned its presence, and came to know of it as only a plain teahouse for weary travelers and pilgrims.
The owner's modest life came crashing down when a wounded traveler came knocking at her doorstep under the thundering night. He seemed to be on his last leg, barely conscious and utterly delirious from his injuries. She could not turn him away. "
This plot is loosely set in the early Edo period of Japan. An era of newfound peace with trouble stirring beneath the surface quietly. Word got out that the government is looking for something and they desperately need it. Fast. Speculations from town to town include a ring of eternal youth, a scroll of immense knowledge, a sword of immeasurable power, but no one knows what they're looking for. Government agents tear houses apart looking for it but there has been no success so far.
The people are beginning to question the new shogunate and patience is running thin on both ends. What could be so important that they're expending this much manpower and funds to search for an unknown object when there are more pressing issues like recovering from recent droughts and rebuilding homes destroyed by hurricanes? Could it be that this new shogun is a vain fool running off the mere lines of an ancient scroll? Just what is this thing that has the whole nation standing on its toes?
That is my premise. This is a plot that'll need brainstorming on both of our sides. I've left it vague so that we can weave our own unique plot from this. We can make it a low fantasy where there IS a magical object capable of giving a great gift to its wielders, or we can keep it realistic with no magic elements and it is mere speculation on the commoners' end.
I was thinking YC (Your Character) is on a mission to find this object as well. Perhaps he is sent by someone, perhaps it is of his own agency. He and MC (My Character) are both unaware that MC has it. It was a charm given to her by her parents and described as such, so she never suspected it could be what they're looking for. Perhaps YC could sense its presence even in his delirious state and came knocking on her door specifically, but he can't prove it's there in the daytime because it is hidden on her body. Perhaps he doesn't and it's mere coincidence.
This plot will, initially, focus on the pair's cohabitation of the tea house. As he spends a few days recovering, he makes himself useful around the place, fixing up things she couldn't do so by herself, chopping wood, fending off bandits, the likes. This makes her less opposed to harboring the man at her tea house and for some reason, he stayed past the 'few days' and she never objected. We'll focus a lot more on quiet introspection on both sides as they keenly observe each other from day to day.
After that, we can get into the more action-y story with the intrigue of the unknown artifact that the nation is searching for. BUT, I also want to mention we may forgo this plot point of the artifact altogether if you would like to focus a lot more on their romance and have a more simple, less action-packed story. In that case, we could shift to exploring YC's past more because I had imagined this plot with a mysterious YC in mind with a hidden past. He could be an exiled ronin that's left the samurai way after witnessing his master's cruelty, a traitor that revealed clan secrets, a fugitive involved in a murder. As a conflict, perhaps YC is being threatened by people wanting to take him away. They must decide if they should stay together, even in the face of danger.
Those were very brief and simple concepts I had in mind. Please do share whatever thoughts you had in mind and any interesting twists you may like to add. This plot is very flexible so long as I get to see their quiet moments together!
This will be a slow burn romance full of intense internal emotions they keep buried inside without so much as a peep. Much is said between them without a single word having been exchanged. Lots of accidental touches, fleeting glances and unspoken words with acts of service for the other. They pine for each other but it is never brought on to the proper words, even in their heads. Only that they feel deeply troubled, but at the same time they are elated, in the presence of the other. Of course, all of this will come into beautiful fruition at the end of the story! Spoiler alert, it's a happy ending, haha.
As for the smut, it will be a low smut story. I want to explore the delicate romance blossoming between them first. I can only imagine the smut to happen at the very end when they've realized their feelings. Or perhaps a bit earlier if they feel that death is imminent and they need this one night before heading to their doom. But even then, they must like and love each other A LOT for it to happen. MC is quite prude, you see. It'll be quite a tasteful smut that is the pinnacle of lovemaking and less of a poundtown, lol.
