Lol I mean if you want, mine and another have them as humanoid spirits. Mine is ice with pointed ears and long white hair and skin and another player has a similar deal going on with theirs.

Yiss, I'm not going to regulate that, just keep track of your characters and their stories is all!
Alrighty thanks, that was all I needed to know xD

Im getting confused with location - not sure how a forest is next door to a desert.

There is a river splitting the two apart from one another

Man I need more coffee!

It's alright, probably a good refresher for people anyway. I'll put in a reply tomorrow for Janara. It's been over a week since @MrKrutiika posted so they're probably busy and I don't want to hold people up more.

Perhaps instead of them being a desert, they're in a scrubland? Also, I probably shouldn't have assumed, @GremlinSage; but can spirits directly communicate with each other through touch?

They're in the forest, not the desert. I also don't know what scrubland is. But I don't see why a shadow spirit couldn't communicate like that with others.

Edit: Apologies I see they have moved now

Per Zal, you're free to follow or not. Janara followed Wishbone's character there. Their place is heavily defended, fyi.

Going to wait a bit, see if our new shadow spirit and elf characters respond so I can add as needed if necessary.

Post saved into notes on phone.

I can do my reply later today.. there's a lot of stuff going on. Does anyone want to help explain what happens at what locations?? Or are all at the same?

No worries!

So, I'm letting everyone decide if they came with patrol or not back to my pack's temporary camp. If so, they would be viewed as prisoners and a prisoner den was hastily constructed upon their arrival. Now, they may or may not be out in the prisoner den, leaving that up to characters, but there's a time skip with Wish's post to darkness

There's also a down in the desert your character can go to if they want.

Hi guys! I've been talking with Grem for a bit and I decided in defiance of the laws of Man and God to join. My current character idea is a young human scrapper with magical inclinations, who unexpectedly receives a can of enslaved fire spirit upon his sorcerer grandfather's death.

I'm thinking of putting him in one of two places:
-Sarosh, where he would spend his time trying to figure out how to deal with his living inheritance by getting into trouble across town, or
-On the path to find the crashed airship—either contracted by its imperial owners, or by rebels looking to seize war goods, or by a scrapping company looking for a score. On the way, he would discover the tracks of rest of the band that followed/was captured by the pack…

What do we think would be best? I want to make sure I'm not stepping on any toes with my intro, but I think it would be fun for him to track the airship survivors. ^^

Also, how steampunk/dieselpunk are we going with this? I was planning on giving him a desert dirt bike he could use (heat engine powered by his spirit), but if that's Too Modern I can figure something else out.

Since the others might not be sure either, steampunk is perfectly acceptable since human's invent things constantly and it'd fit perfectly fine in the setting. We already have some machinery mentioned with @WishBone's character quite literally crashing in from an airship.

If a spirit speak telepathically to another, can other spirits hear it or is it more like a direct message to the one they speak to?

Would be more like a direct message
