  • Personality
    STOIC
    FAIR
    curious
    COURAGEOUS
Atlantis can easily be summed up as a stoic. He keeps his cool even in the direst of situations and prefers to logically solve issues whenever possible. He is not fond of meandering interactions, finding it to be meaningless and tedious. If it is not concerning his interests or his duties as a knight, Atlas is slow to action and unmotivated.

Atlantis is loyal to the Crown and the kingdom but he does not follow the King blindly. If ever his opinion is sought on a matter, he never hesitates to voice it honestly and faithfully, even at the risk of crossing with the King or other high members of the court. There have been moments where he's inwardly disapproved of the King's actions which have remained as tiny seeds of doubt in him.

It would seem that such traits should work opposingly to his reputation and yet, he finds himself gaining the approval of the King even more - such to the point that the King indulges him, unprompted, on certain state affairs and entrusts him as a royal envoy regarding specific missions.

However, Atlas is a straightforward person who treats all he meets fairly without prejudice. He seeks to form opinions of them after personally interacting with them and is not influenced by the thoughts of others.

    ⠀LOVES
⠀•⠀Polishing his sword, grooming his hair, exploration, solitude at a shore

    ⠀HATES
    ⠀•⠀Overheating, arrogance, idling, fruitless deaths

  • Appearance
    height
    6' 4" | 193 cm
    weight
    90 kg | 200 lbs.
    HAIR
    Midnight blue, wavy, thick
    EYES
    Lapis lazuli, long lashes, upturned
The long dark waves cascading off Atlas' toned back are thick but not coarse. His hair may become a bit tousled and frizzy after an active day, but he's quick to fix it whenever he finds a pocket of time. He may never admit it but his hair is a source of pride and comfort for him. Perhaps that is the only thing that is 'vain' about him.

He has an ivory skin tone that can tan slightly more bronze in the summer, but can also lighten up to a cool pale in the winter.

Atlas' gaze can be described as a numbing yet hypnotic look, the aegean blue of his eyes captivating onlookers into senselessness. Perhaps it would be better described as ensnaring than astonishing.

As a son born into the role of the Captain inherited from his father, Atlantis has spent much of his days since childhood on the training grounds ever since he could hold up a wooden sword, developing rippling musculature sculpted from decades of harsh training and battles, with capable broad shoulders and impressive arms. Many of his troops describe his presence to be a reassuring, rock-solid anchor in a sea of uncertainty when his company goes on long campaigns without an end in sight. Although his chiseled physique and uncommonly handsome face is the object of admiration for many fair ladies of the court, Atlas seems indifferent to it all.

He has a significant amount of scars all over his body, however they're all rather faded and seemingly from a long time ago.

His thick eyelashes and hereditary pigmentation make it seem as if he has lapis-lined eyes with a light powdering of amaranth around his eyes.

  • Trivia
He has a wide collection of weapons that belong to him in the armory, many of unique and exotic origins with detailing and engravements as ornate as it is sharp. No one else is permitted to use them, not even the King himself. If they ever did, he would know. He brings no more than a handful with him when he's leading a campaign in a far away land.

Tucked away in his pockets and bedside drawers, there are many combs and fragrant oils from many unique regions as well. His hair tools and weapons are never far from his person.

Considering how he bathes more often than most knights due to his fondness of water and hatred of being hot combined with all the scented oils he applies in his hair, Atlantis actually smells quite pleasant. While his scent changes depending on the oil he's used, he most often carries a trail of mint, rosemary or lavender.

He has a preferred mount he'd been riding with for half a decade now. A 10 year old gelding named Aeneas. He has a very close bond with the creature - either side knows the other exceptionally well, sensing things others miss easily. Aeneas is black in color with a long, wavy, black mane that Atlantis loves to groom whenever he can. He's meticulous about styling his mane in different styles so as to protect the hair and keep it out of his face. Horse and rider are thus quite similar in appearance, much to others' amusement.

  • Background

    • TBA.

    • ⠀EPHESUS VALIANT AEGEUS
      ⠀•⠀Father
Atlantis always seeks for Ephesus' approval on anything he does, hoping to impress him beyond belief. Although a little foolish in that regard, it is a genuine wish of his. Ephesus, on the other hand, doesn't seem to give such things up easily. What could he be anticipating from Atlantis?

      ⠀SERAPHINE DULCET AEGEUS
      ⠀•⠀Mother
A gentle, caring mother who seems the exact opposite of Ephesus. She dotes on Atlantis often and babies him whenever possible. Although he occasionally finds it to be irritating and as if she's undoing all his efforts at becoming a strong, dependable man, he would subconsciously crave her affection as well. Still, why does she rarely intervene during moments of conflict between Ephesus and Atlantis?

      ⠀TBA
      ⠀•⠀Sister

Some miscellaneous facts I don't have any place for yet:
  • Atlantis' official armor and steed looks like this. With the exception of a black-colored steel as the main material with a silver engraved royal coat of arms on the breast plate and shield that catches light very easily. The cloak is crimson in color.
  • His horse, Aeneas', mane is braided like this when it isn't set free. It's braided in many plaits like that when going on long journeys. It is braided in a single thick braid close to its neck like this when going to battle.
  • He ties his hair up in a high ponytail when wearing his armor like the first reference picture. Strangely enough, his hair has survived many battles with minimal damage/being chopped off. If he's REALLY concerned, he'll put it in a braid and tuck it inside his armor. Yes, it's itchy, but it's only for dire circumstances and he's quick to free it once danger subsides.
  • Atlantis' lineage hails from Eastern Thalvar, near the shores. His father settled in the capital following his knighting by the King after being recruited for his exceptional skills. The people of that region are known to be exceptionally beautiful, men and women alike. Many noble houses enjoy marrying the people of that area, even if they aren't necessarily wealthy or powerful. Rumors state that it was the home shores to a race of sirens that once enchanted stranded sailors from many centuries ago and claimed their lives when they had them in their grasps. However, after some time, they began assimilating with humans for some reason and ceased to exist as pureblooded creatures of the sea. As such, they say Eastern Thalvarians are descendants of sirens and that is why they are so unusually captivating - they still have siren blood coursing in their veins to this very day. Additionally, all Eastern Thalvarians have the characteristic pigmentation around their eyes that Atlantis has, which make for a striking appearance and draws attention to their eyes.
  • Eastern Thalvar maintains its economy by fishing and selling the rare and unique shells and pearls they extract at the shores. It mainly sends its exports to the capital but does trade on occasion with foreign merchants. The region isn't very wealthy nor is it in poverty. A modest place with faces that all look like they could belong at the royal court.
