Hello! My name is Udon. Though I’ve had this account for some time, recent developments (namely the closure of a forum I was previously mainly active on) have spurred me into actually, properly using it. So here’s my request thread!
I’m a 22 (23 in like, two weeks!) year old student in Ireland with over a decade’s worth of writing and roleplay experience. My RP has ranged from fandom to original creations, and I’ve written a RP post on just about every device with a chat or internet function released in the current decade. I have a wide variety of interests when it comes to RP, and there’s a lot I’m willing to do. Before that, here’s a quick summary of what I won’t do:
1 - First-person writing - I prefer third-person.
2 - I am stringently against the use of generative AI in any capacity. I would thus prefer not to RP with anyone who uses it in any capacity.
3 - Fetishisation of a character’s race, sexuality or gender presentation (e.g. raceplay, sexuality bending, detrans).
4 - FxF or FxM relationships. I’m fine with them existing, of course, but when it comes to the main characters I’d prefer the focus to be MxM, MxNB or NBxNB.
5 - Misery/torture porn OR conflict-less slice of life.
6 - Gore and violence of a sexual nature.
7 - Plots that require me to play a character made by someone else for me.
8 - Big age gaps (+10 years).
And as for what I like to do:
I consider myself literate and detailed in my writing, but I also acknowledge that we’re not writing a published novel here - we’re just having fun. I don’t expect classic lit levels of prose, and you absolutely don’t have to match the length of my post. As long as my RP partner responds to what I’ve written and can keep the ball rolling, I’m happy with whatever they reply with. As for my style, I tend to write past tense, third-person subjective. My writing is very character focused and especially hones in on the senses and physical experiences.
I do not mind explicit sexual content in my RPs and they usually tend to include some. I'm willing to do a variety ranging from mild to wild, but my limits would be anything that would move the RP to the "Torture Chamber" section of the Forbidden Sanctum. If you're in doubt if I'll be cool including a certain kink or preference in the RP, just ask! I don't really have a specific ratio of plot to smut in mind, either.
Speaking of keeping the ball rolling, that’s very important for me. In any RP I do, my RP partner has as much custody over the setting and the plot as I do. We’re both working together to create these characters, the world they inhabit and the plot that drives them. Feel free to share ideas, introduce new characters, and follow any impulse you get. Given this, I request that anyone interested please express that - DM me with your ideas, what interests you, and what you’d like to do. I’m much more likely to respond to someone who lets their passion shine as opposed to a standard “hey” or a plain request just to plot. Let’s brainstorm and collaborate to create something we can both enjoy!
In regards to my characters, I personally don’t use faceclaims. You can if you want, but I much prefer to write a description of my character, as I enjoy the total freedom it gives me to have them look however I want. Naturally, you’re welcome and encouraged to do the same. I like to create characters with unique perspectives on the world, who maybe belong to an alternative subculture or express their gender or sexuality in a way different to the norm. I absolutely welcome characters who break the mould from the usual expectations - I want my characters to feel like real people, not perfect movie stars. I generally tend to write characters in their 20s.

Savage, Minnesota. A commuter town nowheresville in Scott County, there's absolutely nothing remarkable about Savage beyond an unusual name...Or is there?
Our characters are two weirdos, outcasts or eccentrics with an interest in the supernatural. Their conviction? Savage is one hundred percent haunted. Or taken over by aliens. Or infested with monsters. There's something going on in Savage - the town's some kind of supernatural nexus where the strange and inexplicable happens on the regular, and it's up to our characters to expose the truth and investigate the bizarre world that exists just underneath the noses of the subdued suburban population.
Another basic plot that can really be taken in any kind of direction. I see this one being a sort of Gravity Falls, Magnus Archives-esque anthology featuring our characters going up against a variety of supernatural oddities. They could be investigative journalists, wannabe Youtubers, or just curious hobbyists. They might wholeheartedly believe, be a little sceptical, or be out to outright disprove the existence of the supernatural altogether. Of course, along the way they'll discover plenty about themselves and each other, too. This one could also be fun as a period thing in the mid 2000s, when the internet was still something of a Wild West and going viral was more of a novelty.
Sticky Floors ***
The early 2000s saw an explosive renaissance for the music industry. Gone were the days of the ivory tower record companies - indie music was more popular than ever, and indie artists saw real success playing into the new millennium. This plot will explore that setting: Whether as bandmates, musical rivals, dedicated fans, or a classic whirlwind romance with a groupie.
Based heavily on the documentary Meet Me in the Bathroom, and very grounded in the aesthetic of early 2000s indie music. Think the Strokes, Interpol, Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys etc.
Play Your Music For Me **
A similar plot to Sticky Floors, but a lot broader. Our characters are two musicians from very different ends of the spectrum: A country singer and a rapper, a punk rocker and a K-pop idol, a rock guitarist and a classical pianist, or any other combination you can think of! Meeting at a festival, or party, or on the concert circuit, they form an immediate connection and do their best to keep their relationship out of the eyes of the media and their management.
A basic concept we can take in a lot of different directions! If you can't tell already, I'm pretty passionate about music.
The Inhuman Race
Two young men find themselves afflicted with the curse of Lycanthropy. This can be from any sort of method: Maybe it's a disease, or a curse. Maybe they've both been bitten the old fashioned way—or maybe one bit the other, either by accident or intentionally. Whatever the case, they must navigate the world of the supernatural together, encountering all manner of opposition like rival wolves, suspicious townsfolk, hunters, and their own animal instincts.
Again, another very flexible one. We could play fast and loose with the concept of werewolves, so as to dodge the finer details of worldbuilding—or go all the way and create our own interpretation of classic supernatural tropes. The curse can be as restrictive or as free as we choose, with any sort of conditions or liberties taken with it. It can be a low-stakes personal meditation, or an action adventure with all manner of enemies for the two to fight off together. It can also change drastically depending on the setting: Are they lurking in the woods of a rural town, or stalking the streets of a city with a thronging nightlife?
And They Were Roommates
Two young men sent to a conservative college far from home find themselves boarding together. Maybe they’re old friends, sports teammates, rivals, or complete strangers. Whatever the case, their blooming relationship will be harshly scrutinised if the truth of it ever emerges. Will they keep things quiet to please their families? Or fight against it to live authentically?
Once again, this can go many different ways. What brought either character to the college can vary wildly - family tradition, punishment from their parents, a lucky scholarship? Are they aware of their sexuality from the beginning, or is college the start of an awakening and discovery for them? A very character-driven plot that’s swayed heavily by personality and backstories, and also an environment rife for the inclusion of extra “NPC” characters.
Hanging Ten **
Surfers in a coastal Australian town! That's pretty much it. It's just a setting I really fancy using, but I think some pairings and tropes can be mixed in here to spice things up - I think this one would be really fun to do the brother x sister's ex-boyfriend pairing for. Either way, it's definitely one that depends heavily on what sort of characters get involved.

BONUS: I love exploring unconventional settings - I’ll rarely go for the usual standard of “modern day America”. As such, I greatly welcome any potential plots set in the past or in countries outside of the American norm. We can play it period and politically accurate in terms of attitudes to gay people, or alter it if that’s something that we’d prefer to avoid.
