Many things
I have the need to somehow make this fancy, but I'm telling myself it's alright if I just stick to the basics lol.
My name's Alex(andra), I'm German and live in Scotland. I've been participating in the Beltane and Samhuinn Fire Festivals, if anyone knows of those, and you could very well call me pagan, though I'm really not religious at all.
I'm many things. I'm a dreamer, idealist and romantic. I'm very emotional and raw, as other people have said. I'm very artsy, from writing, singing, instrumenting (piano, drums, ukulele, kazoo :p, guitar, kalimba), dancing, wood carving... if it involves creativity, I probably like it. Funnily enough, I'm currently trying to set up a business in e-commerce to have that passive income so I don't ever have to work 9 to 5 (I never thought I'd do business, certainly not start my own business at 19).
I love travelling, and once I have a sustainable income, I want to explore more of Scotland, then Australia, New Zealand, the Caribbean, Africa, Russia, North America, and I'd love to see the Arctic and Antarctic someday. Maybe space tourism will become a thing while I live, in which case, I'd be very excited to be in space.
Without the character of Minerva McGonagall, I might very well not have been in Scotland right now and my life could have looked a lot different. Who knows if I'd even still be living. She's my favourite character of all time, I've dedicated so much to her and she has given me so much strength perhaps without even knowing, and she's literally the main reason, the trigger, for my desire to come to Scotland. Literally just because she's Scottish. It's amazing I followed that desire, based on a fictional character, travelled to another country completely by myself and now live here. Also, WE SHARE THE SAME BIRTHDAY, 4th October, HOW COOL IS THAT?!?!?!
Secretly, I might just be her long-lost daughter and a remaining Death Eater intentionally stopped my Hogwarts letter from getting to me. That thought always helps me feel happier. Literally, Minerva McGonagall has played such a big role in my life and she's so important to me, it's amazing and gets me emotional every time. Maybe, out there she exists. And maybe she knows about me and protects me from afar (maybe I should look at the cats I encounter more closely...).
Now to roleplaying stuff.
I've been writing ever since I got my first laptop, which was when I was... 6 years old. Yeah, I've been writing since I was 6, it's quite amazing to think about it. I've had a love-hate relationship with writing, several off-phases, but obviously have always come back to it so far. I've done roleplaying on Tumblr mostly, a little in forums. And, well, you don't need me to tell you that roleplaying is great. It's different from solo writing, certainly. Yeah, roleplaying is frigging great and perhaps one of the best, most engaging hobbies I have.
This is my request thread: https://writerssanctum.com/threads/do-you-want-to-dive-into-the-wilderness.16793/ Yes, I love puns. The thread isn't exhaustive by far yet, and "only" has desired fandom pairings so far, but there's a lot more I'm interested in. If you're interested in writing something, but it's not specified in my pairings and fits into what I generally like to write, HIT ME UP! Gently. I love gentle.
What's important for potential partners to know is that I want to feel emotionally (relatively) comfortable and safe, so I'd appreciate the following things a lot: Kindness, respect, acceptance, patience, willingness to compromise and discuss things calmly (when we're not freaking out about how much we love our characters for example), and respect your own boundaries and desires/speak up about them if you feel safe and comfortable (and if you don't, consider talking about that or cutting contact). As for me, I'll try my best, which is all any of us can do. Sometimes, it doesn't work as easily or comfortably as wanted, and that's okay.
Talk to me, I'm an introvert writer in quarantine who wants to find people to connect with. <3
