Oh, hi hello there, I'm Stare

I am late thirties shudders and have been writing on rp forums since I was just a wee gothy teen back in the days of 'teenchat', 'myspace', 'msn', and God knows how many other social media infant sites. I am bored as all heck and really craving some new avenues for writing despite being habitual buzz kill because I can't post as much as other people would like. I am trying to get time in between a chaotic life to find people to write long stories with so here I am.

I love creating worlds, telling stories with twists, turns and surprises. I adore character development and outrageous ideas that raise excitement between writers so much so that ooc chatter becomes plagued by never ending 'what ifs'. Most importantly, I use writing as a way to escape life in general so don't be surprised to see gritty, overly dramatic plots, cliches on occasion. NOTE - I severely lack coded bios, templates and other fun gizmos because honestly, I spend enough time just trying to post replies.

Keen to get on with it, hopefully I will meet some of you along the way with some cool plots to share!

Second! I bet you're wondering how to start Role Playing and where to go! I think it's pretty fun to explore the forums, and I highly recommend doing so! Most thread homes, if not all, have a pinned post at the top of them to tell you what goes there!

However, the Request Threads are pretty self explanatory; Here's a Link! There's plenty to look through, but you could also build your very own! Tell people what you're all about and get those writing partners! Take your time though; there's never any pressure! If you were looking for an open story you can just jump in straight away, you can find them in Unfinished Tales!​


Next, I've created A Sanctum Tour to help find a lot of cool places on site! There's plenty to do while waiting on replies or to give yourself a break every now and then! But, these are some of my favorites! The first shout out goes to The Sanctum Tavern! Here you can find many a thing! By the Hearth can be found there and has many wonderful discussions; my personal favorite is where everyone talks up their writing partners! Want to see some cute pets or share your own? Pets of the Sanctum is where to go! Feeling up for a challenge? Check out the Monthly Writing Challenge and give it a whirl!

Welcome to the site! Good to see you again across the interweebs, looking forward to seeing you spread you wings creatively on here. Feel free to flick a message just to chat or brainstorm something like the old days, lol.
Hope its not to chilly tonight on your neck of the woods, tis be a bit nippy. Definitely reckon you'd find a lot of those gritty and detailed plots on here and many like-minded people that enjoy the brainstorming additionally ooc elements.
Anywho, always around here to chat if you want to. Just coming back from a little bit of a hiatus myself.

It is good to see you too! I have been looking at some of the requests already and can see plenty of grit to get into which is a nice change! it's not too cold here at the moment though i think we are meant to be getting a big storm through tomorrow night. I shall definitely be around to catch up :)

Definitely a very nice change, I have found there's a lot of diverse and very interesting plots going around at the moment. Working on putting my feelers out there again too just for that too. Its a little nippy here, but not as bad as that cold front a few weeks ago... Honestly I feel like last night was colder than tonight too. I heard something like that earlier this week too, hoping its not too chaotic... Cleaning and toddler's bedroom is being otherwise finished tomorrow. A lot of moving crap around in the process for that to be done lol. Sweet, would be keen for a catch up too.

Thankyou :) I honestly feel quite comfortable here already which is fantastic. I might enquire more about the DnD stuff at some point but for now I am off to flex my fingers and compose a few character bios!
