The most notable feature she has are her startlingly golden eyes that look like molten metal. Bio: Born to King Octavius and Queen Helena who was a noblewoman at the time and is now deceased. He took over the throne despite being the youngest as a form of revenge on the King whom he has strong suspicions (not unwarranted) killed his mother. Deprived of the care expected during childhood, Nikolai found that the only way to get things his way is to outsmart, outmaneuver, and overpower whatever was in his way. He became a respected War General at the age of 20 and planned a successful coup d'etat at the age of 25. Because no one was expecting him to be so bold and cruel to his own father, the resistance was minimal but not negligible.
Growing up, he was cared for by a nurse by the name of Lirelle who was killed in the coup by an army general. Ever since he was young, he liked to play in the wild, often sneaking out at night or when no one was watching. When he was 13 he received his first hunting bow which led to his passion for trophy hunting. Ambitious and driven, he watched the ins and outs of palace life, slightly bored by the formalities and culture of gossips and vanity which he deemed "unnecessary and frivolous." Instead of this life of luxury, he vowed to turn the kingdom into a powerful military state.
Ascending the throne by means of force meant killing everyone closely related to him to ensure his safety. His merciless style of rule is evident throughout the kingdom through the death penalty and harsher punishments in general. In his first year of ruling, he mostly established his power throughout the realm. In the second, he began to change the kingdom into his Spartan ideal. In the third, he realized that he needed to cement his power with a wedding and thus gave the decree that every eligible woman in the kingdom be brought to him.
However, being a fickle man with exceedingly high standards, most of the women displeased him. They were too soft, or too submissive. Ugly or daft. Unattractive, or just plain. None were fit to assume the position of Queen and rule by his side. He knew that he could impose his own rules on the marriage but didn't like the idea of being yoked to an incapable girl. Soon after the royal summons to all eligible bachelorettes, he dismissed 70% of them. After months of searching, he was beginning to feel the cold hands of despair, despairing that he would ever find someone suited to his tastes and lifestyle. That all changed one night, however...
