History: A second generation queen, Erastasia, Era to those close to her, was trained from the moment she could pick up a sword how to fight for herself and her kingdom. Her mother, Queen Elziba's own precarious position as queen reinforced the fact that Era not only needed to be able to protect herself, but she needed to learn how to rule through both fear and respect. Generals, combat trainers, and warriors throughout the world were brought to teach the princess everything she would need to learn to not only successfully rule her own kingdom, to ensure the lands and people continued to thrive without outside threats.

By the age of thirty, Era was being sent off to patrol the borders with the other warriors, learning firsthand the threats her people faced and how to effectively deal with them. She was not treated like the future queen of Arlondore, but as any other soldier who needed to work their way through the ranks. She struggled as any young one would while trying to make a name for themselves, yet Era never became discouraged. She learned from her every mistake, disciplining herself harsher than any of her superiors could.

By the age of forty she was leading her own squadron. By the time she was nearing her 100th birthday, Era had risen to the position of general, managed to drive out all enemies that attempted to encroach on her kingdom, and even managed to win her first major skirmish which resulted in the take over of a large expanse of land that would connect Arlondore to the oceans.

At the age of 137, Era took the throne, succeeding her mother who ended her thousand year rule once she felt confident enough to hand the crown over to her daughter. Her first hundred years on the throne were a lesson in balance. Like her mother, Era used fear as a tool only when necessary. She was fair and just until the moment she was not. Era was smart enough to know who to make an example of and who to give enough rope to allow them to hand themselves. Within the first century of her rule, Era managed to clear out the court entirely and create a court of her own, not filled with males who deemed her a figurehead and balked at her authority.

While Era would have been content to simply rule over her own people and do whatever was in her power to better their lives, there were always forces working against her. From enemies pushing their luck, to nobles who were growing anxious by the young queens visions of the future. Erastasia wasn’t content with the status quo. She wanted a future where her people could grow, thrive, and advance.

Era created a new branch of her court, a group that was entirely devoted to technological advancements within the kingdom. She sent delegates to neighboring countries, offering trade and an exchanging of ideas. As Arlondore’s technology began to grow, so did its enemies. Soon Arlondore’s military was surrounding its borders with Era making her rounds frequently to ensure no one managed to breach into their lands. Gradually, it became too much to sit around and wait for attacks. Rather than remain sitting ducks, Era took the fight to those who brought it to her doorstep.

Her first assault was small, yet successful. With only a small group of five soldiers, Era infiltrated the castle of her first target, assassinating the king and taking complete control of the kingdom in the span of five hours. She hoped that the quick, relatively bloodless coup would serve as a warning to those who attempted to challenge Arlondore. Instead, Era inadvertently planted the seeds of her own future demise without even realizing it.

A little under two years into her rule, Arlondore is at a tipping point. The people are thriving as Era intended, but there were still those who harbored resentment over the young queen and her visions of progress. There are those within her own castle plotting, waiting for the moment the warrior queen lowers her guard so that they can strike.

Age: Appears to be in her mid-twenties.
Race: Valkyrie
Height: 5'10
Weight: 160lbs

Strengths: Immunity to illnesses and disease, superhuman strength, speed, and agility, high tolerance to pain, immortality

Weaknesses: Can be physically killed and injured, overly protective which can lead to emotional responses that don't always work in her favor.

History: Tove does not remember her life before Odin turned her into a Valkyrie. All that she can remember is that she spent most of her time tending the wounds of the injured on the battlefield. After Odin chose her and her twin sister to serve him, her life became all about her Valkyrie kin and serving Odin. But life has a way of changing. As war began to decline, she thought perhaps she and her kin would be called back to Valhalla. Instead, they were given new roles in the struggles of man, ones that Tove did not agree with. Fighting alongside men was not the source of her ire. Her problem was taking sides in their issues.

]As the role of the Valkyrie shifted, so did the roles of all supernatural creatures. Factions were formed without anyone even realizing it. On one side, the creatures who had no affection for the humans that filled the world were eager to prey upon their weaknesses to use them as slaves, food, and whatever else they deemed necessary. The vampires, werewolves, demons, and the like flocked together just as the Valkyrie began to gravitate toward the opposing side. After centuries of ignoring each other, the races were gathering together and only a handful of beings could sense the trouble that was brewing behind the scenes. For Tove, it happened during the time of the American Civil War.

]It was during the war and watching brother fighting against brother that she'd finally had her fill of death and bloodshed. Ready to venture off on her own until she was finally called back to Valhalla, Tove ignored the pleas of her sister and the rest of the Valkyrie to stay and fight to protect humanity. What was the point? If they could kill each other off all to continue to enslave their own kind, she saw no real reason to defend or protect them. However, she also saw no reason to go off and slaughter them either. She did care one way or another what happened to the humans and was content to go off living her own life in solitude.

Over the next century that was exactly what she did. She'd travel the world, never staying in any one place for more than a few years before moving on. She learned to blend in, and even picked up how to live among the humans without drawing attention to herself. Every few years her sister would come along to try to convince her to return to the coven, but Tove still wanted no parts of it. As far as she was concerned, she could stay on the sidelines and watch both humans and the supernatural pick each other off. She should have known better.

However, with the human population growing and the numbers on the Divine and Chaos dwindling, both sides are looking to gain new members. Everywhere she turns, someone is trying to draw her into the fight they all know is coming. The problem is, Tove refuses to join. She knows it's only a matter of time until she'll have no choice but to pick a side or try to disappear entirely. Until then, she continues on with her life doing what she needs to in order to survive.

Name: Aaryia Longshadow
Age: 534
Role: Queen of Zerya
Family: Declant Longshadow (Father, deceased) Arimai Longshadow (Mother, deceased)

Height: 6'2
Weight: 185lbs
Markings: A blue butterfly on her left wrist, green vines wrapped across her torso, those seen in image

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Magic: Nature/Earth based, Healing
Powers: Shapeshifting (She shifts into a white fox) Telekinesis, Telepathy (Only with her own people)

Weapons: Staff, three small daggers that she hides on her person.

History: The fall of Zerya began before Aaryia was born. No one knows how the plague began, only that in the early years, while it was still containable, King Declant sent every scholar, teacher, and healer to study the slow decay of the land and the extinction of the animals surrounding the area. At Aaryia's birth, the plague had finally began to spread through the magical wards placed around it.

At the age of three hundred, withered with age and ill from his growing failure to heal the land, Declant passed the crown to his daughter, hoping that she would succeed where he failed. He lingered a few years, offering what little advice he could to Aaryia before his passing. Devastated and broken hearted, her mother followed shortly after, leaving Aaryia alone to deal with the mess that Zerya was turning into.

She sent scholars to all corners of the world, hoping to find a solution to the plague. Aaryia herself used her magic time and time again, hoping to stave off the inevitable, but knowing that it was only a matter of time before she needed to find another solution.

It came to her as one of her scholars returned, not with a cure for the plague, but with news of a kingdom that was ripe for the taking. With a new idea forming, Aaryia worked with her generals to device a plan that would not only give her people a new home, but one that was already well established. The plan was simple. With her forces, she would conquer the land, turning it into a sanctuary for her people. She had no intentions of eliminating the natives, but intended to join her people with them to create one kingdom.
