Rules Check
  1. Confirmed
.If things go on without any sort of remedy for the pattern, they may, in enough time, collapse into an endless stream of re-regeneration, once the margin closes in to give them only micro-seconds between each incarnation undergoing critical failure.

That particular scenario puts me in mind of something Junji Ito would write. Entirely possible he's looking for other OBs with enhanced healing and health properties to find a way to synthesise a cure?

The Snake Oil Saint.....erm...I mean the Saint of Ruin can heal anything! Just take a swig, see what happens. She'll make vampires of the lot of you.

I do wonder if very long term every OB is at risk of their powers causing some body horror. Just as a result of mortal bodies being infused with godlike abilities they were never meant to have.

Perhaps the Saint will slowly be mutated by her own blood in a vampire-like entity?

Or Freyja will one day be consumed by her own bone carapace and turn into a monster.

Meanwhile, mutating the entire earth ....

Even if their methods are under-handed and dubious, the surface-story of the Theocracy, that the organs are not meant to be consumed by humans, might have some merit to it...

I will admit that aside from Doctor Who, some inspiration was taken from the character of Tengen and the Star Plasma Vessel from JJK (the first half of S2), except inward rather than outward.

Well the shonen influence only confirms that we need an episode set in an inexplicably Japanese onsen at some point.

Absolutely.

It also fits in line with the classic theme of samurai taking off their swords and armor when they visit public baths, being the time they are both vulnerable but not in a position to wage war against one another. Similarly, the Organ Bearers would need to forgo some of their factional disputes for the onsen. Presumably, it's a mystical site which heals injuries or temporarily resets the chaotic effects of God-Organs, hence the need to visit it from time to time.

As over-ambitious as running this might be for me, I'm definitely pumped to get things going, when everyone who's in is ready, of course.

Same. My main question would be is everyone starting off seperate before meeting up later?

That will be case-by-case. Any characters that are obviously part of the same faction, especially the Theocracy, will have room to interact even before being guided to a more central location, but otherwise, I'll be shepherding everyone along with my various characters, to various encounters. We'll have to figure out the rough proximity of who is near whom else, but I'm sure I can come up with something

Right.

As I see it, Freyja walked south for a day or two until her legs gave out, so she must be still somewhere fairly far north. Trova meanwhile is somewhere with a more mediterranean climate, so Jophiel would have to be much further south unless there's some magical oddness going on with weather patterns.

Onbiously the geography is pretty mercurial but at least those two could be reference points.

Who else is the Theocracy?
So far, the characters that have been posted to this RT break down as follows:

@dispatch99 - Jasper of Claybrook - starts out in vicinity of Esseton near the Wyrwald forest, which I imagine to be somewhere near the middle of the continent, perhaps very slightly north.
@OrganicIntelligence already commented on both Freyja's location (starting North, heading south over time) and Jophiel's (coastal region in the equivalent of the near-equatorial band)
@Miss December - Saint of Ruin - enshrined as a Saint within the Theocracy
Aside from mentioning that Eivor/Drasa sounds sort of like a Saint, I didn't hear a definitive backstory from you (@Vasara Glyndark) that definitely put her firmly in the Theocracy. I'm not against it but I'll probably need something a bit more concrete than '[the notion] sounds like Eivor'
@Rimechapel - Lanneth - geographically speaking, the CSA could easily be in a medial region like Jasper's, just near more developed tracts of land than the bands of forest like the Wyrwald

At least in my head, that means we have a rough map of

Code:
    (N)

(W) (E) F

    (S) Ja L
                    Jo θ

F(reyja)
Ja(sper)
L(anneth)
Jo(phiel)
θ=Theocracy

I'm picturing something close to Tamriel for the world map.

Also would be interested in hearing about any major GM characters our OB will run be likely to run into.

I did some AI renderings of the Saint and some of them were beautiful and others quite macabre.

Game plan for Jasper is to run into Freyja & co., unless anyone else wants to be a hero for our quiet friend?

I would imagine that - for a setting like this - it would be a shame to include a default negative prompt to curb some of the bizarrerie that generative AI infamously renders.
