Here's a subplot idea, what if your bard character was a goblin instead of a half-orc (or hobgoblin, whatever)? The player could be Danny's buddy from high school or former college roommate or coworker or something like that, and when he saw the flaw on Danny's sheet, he decided to make a goblin character just to mess with him (following a long history of pranking each other). In the game world, it manifests as Thaali getting wet every time the goblin gets too close to her. So in battle it's not an issue as long as they stay separated by 15 feet or more, but sometimes it can be inconvenient, especially if the goblin is aroused and the effect is much stronger. It leads to an awkward sexual tension where the best way to control the goblin's pheremones is for him to jerk off regularly to get it out of his system, but he keeps pointing out that it would be more efficient if Thaali used it as a chance to put her unique perk to good use, which only makes Danny want to slap him (have you ever played this old porn game called Aylia Story?)
I haven't played that, but I was in fact considering this very idea. I would say the real world character would be a coworker of Danny who heard about TTRPGs through him and asked to be introduced to the group, and wouldn't necessarily consider himself Danny's friend since I'm not sure I could get myself into that incel headspace, but does hang out with him out of pity. Maybe Danny views their relationship differently.

Trying to find reference art for a male goblin bard is a nightmare. Might have to resort to heroforge for this one.

When I get stuck with image search, I like to just search for portraits, so you just have the face and it's not cluttered up with other junk that isn't relevant to your class.

Shawn Wells / Jakk Brandling

Age: 25 (real world) / 25 (game world)
Class: Bard
Race: Half-Goblin (the system would not allow him to play a full goblin)
Equipment: Bard's clothing, magical lute, short sword
Perk: Extremely well hung (has no mechanical bonus, Shawn just found it hilarious that the perk existed)
Weakness: n/a
Abilities: High Charisma, Bardic magic (May sing spells that can either buff the party, weaken the enemy, or inflict psychic damage so long as they can hear it, or create audio-visual hallucinations), high alcohol tolerance, good with improvised weapons, silver-tongued

Shawn Wells, 25, works alongside Danny Lee at the same shitty convenience store in what he assures everyone is a temporary job until he finally makes his break break into acting and musicals. A passionate drama student and trained singer Shawn has so far had poor luck in getting roles, possibly due to his slightly tendency towards overacting (not that he would admit it). He has always been vaguely interested in the concept of role-playing games as an outlet for his acting skills, but was never able to find a group until Danny mentioned that he was part of role-players. Shawn asked if he could join, and since then he has graced everyone with his plethora of characters with tragic backgrounds.

Jakk Brandling is the latest such character. A half-goblin born to a human father and a goblin mother in a forbidden romance, Jakk does not know who his birth parents were but he is sure they are some sort of royalty (even Dave rolled his eyes at this). Abandoned to an orphanage Jakk was sold by the priestesses who ran it to a group of passing slavers when he was still a small child, who burned their brand into his skin and gave him the surname for all such orphan slaves. Jakk spent the rest of his childhood working in hard labour at a mill until the day one of his masters heard him sing.

Realising the boy had some real talent, he had him taken out of the mill and sent to a local bard's college to learn how to play a magic lute. Mastering the skills of a bard quickly, Jakk started earning enough coin to buy his freedom, with a little use of his sly tongue to convince his masters to lower the amount. Now a free goblin-man his has teamed up with the party to support them in battle and compose songs telling of their exploits.

He is somewhat smitten with Thaali Mido, especially after he heard her own tragic backstory and the fact she had a half-goblin child in an orphanage reminded him of his own childhood. He keeps trying to get close to her, seemingly unaware of the effect he's having on her.

I'm thinking of starting on Monday, but I'll leave the thread open in case we get any further interest.

That suit everyone?

Huh, this is intriguing—do you still need more male IC characters? I had an idea for a twinkish (in both worlds) healer cleric/wizard. He's a paramedic/nurse/med student IRL and was invited to the game to help him relax after work, and got way more than he bargained for although he might find it relaxing in the end, who knows~ 😆

I don't think it matters too much if we're skewed one way or the other in terms of gender, but Currently we're at 3 gals and 2 guys (in game), so another dude is welcome!

EDIT: Would probably be better to go with a wizard, as we already have a cleric. Or maybe a druid to have a foot in both roles.

Double edit: Also, I am currently working on a world map, which I should post soon-ish.

Sounds like we have a good mix of nerds and weirdos ^_^ I like how this group is shaping up.

Real world: 5 guys and 2 chicks
Game world: 3 guys, 3 chicks, and one evil power-tripping GM

Real world: The freak; The incel; The twink; The small fry; The aloof guy; The chubby girl; The sporty girl
Game world: The barbarian; The shieldmaiden; The minstrel; The magical girl; The wizard; The mermaid

I'm gonna make my guy a centaur 😂 /jkjk

Is 23 IRL / 19 In-Game good or is that too young? It would make IRL 18 when he joined the game club—Wanna make sure everyone is comfortable

23 IRL is fine, maybe pump his character to about 20 or 21 if that's OK.

Reminds me of the old age tables from D&D. A level 1 human wizard is age 15+2d6, or something like that, while a rogue or barbarian is +1d4. But then an elf anything is 110+3d6 or something nuts like that. So I did the math and determined that for every 13 human years, an elf appears to age 4 years (but they also take a century to become adults in the first place).

Malachi Park / Alewyn of the Great Forest

Age: 29 In Real Life / 23 in Realms of Doom

Race: Tiefling

Class: Druid

Equipment: A staff drawn whole from a White Oak with a deer totem carved atop it (his focus), a silver dagger, a battered set of padded cloth armor, a pouch of useful herbs and plants.

Abilities: Speak to Plants and Animals, Proficiencies in Medicine and Nature, Darkvision, Fire Resistance, Druidic Spellcasting.

Bio: An overworked nurse and medical student, Malachi Park (known as "Kai" to his close friends) fell in with this ill-fated gaming group as a way to blow off steam and forget about the world for a while, indulging in fantasies with some of his friends. While he likes some of the group much, much better than others, he is happy to have them around since they all share an interest in tabletop gaming and worldbuilding as well as a bit of perversion. Malachi gained a reputation as the "nice quiet one", as opposed to Dave who was the "weird quiet one". He has a naturally caring but anxious and suspicious personality—he tries to do the best by people but generally assumes the worst of them, and a life lived with his overbearing and relatively poor family has given him a complex about his self-worth and his success. While bisexual (having dated both boys and girls as an undergrad), he doesn't have much time for relationships or even hookups, so despite being among the smartest of his friends he is considered one of the most innocent and naïve—something which he is teased for, often to his confusion, since he often has perverted thoughts and violent fantasies: he just always kept it to himself due to the stress and anxiety already present in his life. Because of this hesitancy, in the games he played with the group, he usually made inoffensive, wholesome characters that, when they engage in sexual shenanigans at all, are fairly nice and vanilla, and while of course they're combative they're usually Lawful Good.

This last session, however, was different. Malachi had just come back from having failed his exams for the second time, and was in a pretty dark spot mentally. Unfortunately for him, this was reflected in his character: Alewyn of the Great Forest—a masochistic fallen hero of the druids with a full-fledged martyr's complex and an edgy backstory full of assassinations, seductions, betrayals. The character's backstory had him as a nature guardian, an hired killer, and a sex slave (all three jobs the Tiefling enjoyed). This was perhaps Kai's way of working through his feelings: transmitting his emotions of frustrations—sexual, emotional, career—and his helplessness and desires harmlessly onto a paper character sheet, where it could be safely quarantined in their game session and he could get on with picking up the pieces of his life.

But then, Dave happened. What Malachi thought was an ill-considered moment of some weird immersion technique turned into a nightmare as the fantasy world erupted into existence around him and Malachi transformed into Alewyn—not just metaphorically, but literally. Now, rather than sublimating and pushing aside all those feelings Malachi was afraid of, he was becoming them—and he had a younger, (arguably) sexier, fantastical body to experience it all through, one that seemed to now be the plaything of their sadistic DM's twisted game. Now, Alewyn—I mean, Malachi—has to find a way to survive the dark world of Realms of Doom and get out of this strange situation. That is, if he even wants to anymore.

(It's actually mine but there's no fun alliteration with that)

Not a comprehensive list, and things are always negotiable. Consider this a guide, not a constitution.

Submission/domination (prefers sub, likes both), bondage, group sex, humiliation, forced exhibitionism, slaveplay, petplay, orgasm control, edging/denial, forced orgasm, anal (giving and receiving), breeding (giving and receiving), toys, chastity, spanking, CNC, aphrodisiacs/pheromones/drugs, hypno/mind control, corruption, NTR, violent sex, hate sex, body writing/tattoos, predicament bondage.

Caution / Likes with Limits - Details Matter:
Scent/sweat, temperature play, pain/sexual torture (basically everything is great except for genital constriction/harsh CBT), breathplay (passing out is the limit, no hanging), transformation, gender swap, knife/gun/edgeplay, blood.

Hates / Not going to participate in a sexual context: Gore, vore, scat, underage, watersports, mutilation, inflation, weight gain, death.

Him and Danny should spend a bunch of game world scenes talking about K-Pop while NPCs look at us like we're from another planet (except that I actually don't know anything about K-Pop).
