I've recently consumed media that are set in rather grim, historical settings where some dark fantasy is mixed in. It could be something as simple as a land plagued by vampires, werewolves, and demons, or something akin to Dark Souls or Bloodborne.
The main theme/s I wish to explore are the grimness of humanity, redemption, and good vs. evil.
YC would be some kind of knight, mercenary, or soldier. Plagued by his past, he has gone through some kind of physical transformation during his time of service. It could be that he got turned into a vampire or werewolf, or is possessed by a demon. Or if you have a better idea, let me know!
But whatever the reason for his newfound self, he has finally returned home. But home is no longer home. Plagued by -whatever horror we decide should torment this land-, he reached the pessimistic conclusion that nothing really matters anymore.
That's until YC meets MC. A seemingly insignificant streetwalker/pickpocketer, who tried to steal from you. But he never imagined this minuscule inconvenience would lead him into an intrigue of rebellion, resistance, and a dream of a better future.

I've been craving a dynamic that's about a relationship that just doesn't work out. It could be because societal obligations make it impossible for our leads to be together, or they keep ending up on bad terms. Kind of where the lust keeps being so intense that it eventually will turn destructive.
With that said, I'm not seeking a story that will deal with the subject of domestic abuse. Instead, I'm looking for a story about two people who keep fucking things up one way or another. There really is no culprit in the mix, just endless inconveniences that keep tormenting our main leads.
Some suggestions/ideas/prompts that maybe spark some ideas!
βΆ Vampire x Human β perhaps the kind where the vampire never successfully corrupts the human, and they keep dancing around the idea that they belong with each other for eternity?
βΆ Soldier/Servant x Royalty/Aristocrat β She/he is planned to be wed off, but all they can think about is wanting to run away with the true love of her/his life.
βΆ Artist/Photographer x Model/Muse β He keeps painting/photographing her, even when she moves on to a far grander career than him.
I'm looking for this to be set in either a 18th / 19th century setting or modern. I'm also open to adding fantasy elements, like historical or urban fantasy, if that interests you.

Who doesn't, from time to time, crave to write a pirate story?
The premise is simple. Pirates kidnap a lady, in the hopes someone related to her (could be her father or husband) will pay a ransom to save her. The only issue is that the lady they ended up grabbing ends up revealing that she more or less had hoped someone would kidnap her and take her away from the wretched island she'd been forced to live on. But if she is going to become a pirate, she has to teach one or two things about pirating!
I was hoping this would be an adventure, set on the seven seas where our leads end up falling for each other. I kind of have a craving for an enemy-to-lovers situation, where they get to learn to respect each other. Lots of flirting, lots of bickering, and lots of fun encounters. I wouldn't mind that they maybe end up exploring an old pirate legend together, like an old secret treasure no one knows where it is.
I'm also open to changing the setting to a steampunk setting, if that interests you!

βΆ Is communicative. I know this is very subjective, and I'm not asking to know every detail about your life (I'm not your mom!), but at least tell me if you are still interested and tell me if there will be any delays (or if you are taking a break). If you can do that, it will be a huge plus in my book.
